Jackie Wilson was incredible! Elvis loved him artistically and as a great person and friend. Jackie once said "a lot of black people think that Elvis ripped us off but the truth is we took from him. All black performers got their state mannerisms from Elvis". He really respected Elvis and vice versa.

The greatest R&R/pop/R&B singer of his era. As I've said on other posts, anyone that plays or does tricks with the microphone stand stole it from Jackie. Everyone stole from Jackie's act, but everyone stole Sam Cooke's singing style. When black men used to straighten and slick their hair it was called a "conk" hairstyle.
