The version of Life Goes on suga performed is actually a whole song from his album. It was a demo he produced for BTS but they ended up going with what they officially released. Suga pulled the demo out of the vault and finished it off to put as an ending track to his album. Beautiful stuff

Yoongi's version of Life Goes On was written years before and he actually wanted the whole group to sing it but his version wasn't picked. His verse in the group version remained the same as his version. I like both versions of the song. Life Goes On BTS version fits perfectly in the "Be" album which came out during the pandemic and Life Goes On Yoongi version totally fits the D-Day Album and is the last track of the album and closes it out. I was lucky enough to get tickets to his concert in NJ and it was very special hearing him sing it live, I totally cried! 💜💜💜

you know, i have this habit to write bts lyrics as a prose or a letter. i think reading it without music always helps me to really see and understand them "for some reason we were made to drift apart from each other, but let us not blame anything. nothing in the world could ever tear us apart, we said, but more and more i become afraid that we may forever grow apart. ill borrow this music and tell you that people say the world has changed, but thankfully between you and i it’s still the same. let’s greet each other not with bye but with hello, even if the world does not evolve the way we want, don’t forget the day we’ll meet again, after counting just a few more nights as we hope. time will pass and someone will be forgotten. things will flow however they like. time like a wave will wash away like the ebb tide, but still, don’t forget to come find me. the trace ive left over the past 10 years, even those countless wounds and glories are just a moment in the memories now that i look back. i fiercely lived through every moment as if there’s no tomorrow, but still, im afraid. i know that this place where im now will soon become a memory. don’t be afraid, because until the end of my life the life will continue to go on. this moment when everyone has paused, the door that looks especially far away today, this moment when everyone has grown apart, the distance between us that is growing larger day by day. life goes on, life goes on, life goes on"

yoongi's life goes on became such a dear song to me after his tour. first of all, the message, i can't even decide if it makes me sad or hopeful. then, the ot7 fanchant which no one was officially planning to do, but it just felt right, so it became a standart for life goes on live performance you know, i have deep feelings for the astronaut and on the street since it's our see-you-later songs. life goes on was not released to be like that, but it gives me the same emotions. longing and hope i miss yoongi

4:29 so annyeong is used for both informal hi and informal bye Kinda similar to how we wave for saying hi as well as bye So that's why they said start and end the day with annyeong 13:56 so this version of life goes on is on the dday album. It was an version of life goes on yoongi submitted / wrote for the BE album but they wanted something more uplifting / happier (or something I'm not 100% sure) and that's the life goes on you listened to first. Yoongi really liked his interpretation of life goes on and decided to put it out on his dday album and that's the ver he performed

yeah SUGA purposefully chose to do arenas. apparently BH staff talked to him about potentially stadiums but he went with arenas. Once you get around to watching some of the whole concerts (and I really do as he is even story-telling with the full concert experience), but it did result in a lot of us not being able to get tickets.... but the show wouldn't have worked in a stadium, so i get it.

I feel like BTS's version is for something you are currently going through and Yoongi's version is about facing an upcoming difficulty. They wanted to reassure people during the pandemic, so it is more cheerful. Yoongi's version is very introspective, almost like he's preparing himself and us for the brief parting of ways. So his version is more melancholic. They have a similar sentiment but which one I like more changes with my circumstances. But they're both very special. An earlier version of Yoongi's 'Life Goes On' was actually the runner up to the BTS version. He then reworked on it and made changes on it for Agust D's 'Life Goes On'. During his final 3 performances of the tour, after Yoongi finished with the song, clips of BTS were played on the big screen while ARMY did the fan chant to it. It was so emotional.

i will forever thankful to bts for choosing to endure all the struggles that working as an artist during pandemic brought them. as the documentary shows, it was very far from being easy. as their latest solo albums show, it gave them pain, fear, insecurity. they didn't have to light the path for us in the dark times, but they did. my 2020 and 2021 would have been so drastically different without bts. 2020 christmas time still holds a warm place in my heart because they have prepared a lot of carol type promotions with dynamite and life goes on. i can say that i was able to be happy only and only because of bts you know, they gave us their presence the best they could, going live, creating more content and release behinds of the album creation so we had access to them, but they unfortunately couldn't have access to us quite on the same level, because all the in person schedules were obviously canceled. that's why we were dead set on repaying them as best as we could, and we gave Dynamite their first #1 on hot100, for two weeks straight, making them the first and only korean artist to do so. and them few month later we did it again for Life Goes On, making it the first and only song in korean to do so. and then, if we look at 2021 we gave butter TEN weeks on the first place! i hope it reassured them that we are still here even if we aren't able to see them. be it pandemic or military service. i think the best thing we can gift them is security in their position, letting them know for sure that absence won't make our love lesser

the agust d version was actually one of the versions submitted for the original bts version in 2020 but it wasnt accepted, instead they ended up doing the one we know now, so yoongi saved his version, reinterpreted it and included it in his dday album, he even sings the same verse from the bts one in the beginning of his own version "some say the world has changed but thankfully between you and me nothing has changed" 💜 and it's also so heartwarming when army started doing the bts fanchant at the end, it wasnt anything official but armys just started doing it as the tour went on and in the final concerts yoongi said he loves it and he waits for armys to do it, he even sometimes would extend the piano part so that armys could say it three times instead of two

Yoongi’s life goes on is from his album D-Day which he wrote years before…it’s a separate song altogether and he did not adapt it because of enlistment or them going on hiatus. yoongi did use part of his verse from the original for his version since he wrote the demo

Yoongi's version of Life Goes On could be a different song ! The song is clearly about being closed down during covid. Life for BTS came to a sudden halt, but the world carries on with the seasons and time moving forward. I think we all experienced feeling stuck.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Just "BE" and know Life Goes On! Such a sweet message to us. I heard the song and got such nostalgia vibes from it. A mix of melancholy, an ache and joy in being together. Yes, that sounds right to me. Great vocals and harmonies. Wonderful visuals and fits. Jk did a great job in his new role. yep, it was Jimin & V at the end singing. Ur starting to recognize their vocals. Good job. =0] This was after his films. We got a new film from him last year. Made us so happy. He has been too busy to make films. He surprised us with his new film during his streamed concert. Hope u check out his films soon. He is a great editor and filmmaker. JK has a channel on here for his films. I think we have 4-5 of them now. The lyric vids all suck unless they use doolset translations. Ur better off just going to doolset and reading from the site. She always is most accurate. To us the black & white scene makes us cry because they were without us so all was grey. It's heartbreaking. Sigh. They no longer have the dorm the lease expired. So Suga's version is his demo that got rejected. He liked the song and the other members also liked it. So he kept it and put it in his album years later. Love both songs because they mean different things to me. I was able to attend my 1st concert ever by seeing Suga's 1st D-day stage. He had his tour in small venues because he thought he would not be able to fill big ones. UwU Sometimes i want to slap him over his head u know. lol. It was awesome we sang and danced for almost 3 hrs straight. Standing up all that time. It was so fun. Just great energy being with army. Hugs. Stay safe. -NY USA 2019 Army 💜 FYI; Their whole international tour was cancelled so they did a full online 2 day concert in an empty stadium which included amazing choreography and mind blowing visuals back in October for their fans. I was lucky enough to watch day 1 recording. It was awesome. I hear the guys perform for 3 hrs live. 0.0 sheesh. #BTS #LifeGoesOn Emy E on Dec20-Jan21 said; This song just provided us with a warm hug, something we all needed this year. They mention countless moments where they couldn't move, but everything else was moving at its own pace. Spring came, time passed by, winter came, the rain didn't stop, although we're soaked. These are just examples of how life goes on even during Covid-19. Suga's verse mentions how the world has changed, but nothing has changed between BTS and Army's. They also mention how they felt when the world stopped without a warning. They show a clip of V staring at the stadium they were supposed to perform at. They end the song in an empty stadium. The boys are all dressed up and performing, but they don't have their fans around. So this song has lots of meaning... Produced by Pdogg Written by Pdogg, RM, Ruth, Chris James, Antonina Armato, SUGA, j-hope doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/?s=Life+Goes+On Sea=When Suga said “someone’s empty spot is our dream” he is referring to when they debuted. So if you guys didn’t know, BTS debuted because the group that was supposed to perform couldn’t make it so BTS were given the spot. Basically saying how someone’s empty spot gave them an opportunity. "Countless people get cut from broadcast, but someone's empty spot is our dream" is actually how their debut came to be. Broadcasting stations didn't want them, cuz Big Hit was a no name company and BTS only debuted because someone else had to cancel a show so they got the spot by chance. Life Goes On was the first predominantly Korean song to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, but it often gets overlooked. It got almost no radio play in the US, and ARMY still managed to propel it to #1! it only had 6 spins on US radio. 🙄 @BTSArmy.613 said on 6/4/23 As an almost veteran army, lemme give you some insight. About the whole album i.e. BE, they shared the making process with us, beginning from the idea generation. There's an one hour live on Bangtan TV, where they are talking about what message do they want to share with the fans in such times. In that live only, we got to know that members would be taking active roles in the production process. Like, V was the visual director, J-Hope was put in charge of choreography, Jimin was the project manager for music, Suga and Jin were in charge of the album jacket, Jungkook was the director of Yet To Come, and RM was the music director 🫠💯 Thanks Nurain Nabilah Salehuddin for sharing your opinion. 11.20.2020 1) Hobi's lyrics: With the "Annyeong" that we start and finish the day, let's thread tomorrow with today at 2:08 "annyeong" basically means 'hi' in Korean, and it also means 'bye'. So the meaning behind it is you say "annyeong"(hi) to a person today and "annyeong"(bye) at the end. Then, tomorrow you're gonna say annyeong(hi) again to that person. making the "annyeong" thing connect like a thread. 2) Last scenes they were at the ON:E concert they shoot it right after they finished the concert i-- And also i think the reason why they use black and white filter in the last scenes when they were at the venue was because it symbolizes the past. Meaning the memories they had of their concert and it goes well with the lyrics "I remember..." Iris Flower said I think what RM also means by “I’m human after all” is that you can’t outrun life (he used metaphor in trying to outrun the rainy cloud). Things happen beyond our control and we don’t know what curveballs life will throw our way. But what we can do is take care of ourselves and each other, be grateful for what we have, push forward and keep hope, because life does go on and things constantly change. They finished the concert (which had the ARMY bombs to represent ARMY), then changed clothes and filmed the scene for the MV. The stadium you could see while Tae was driving was the last one they performed in before COVID hit - it's where they had their last concert, and where they were supposed to perform for the Map of the Soul concert tour as well.
