San wasn't listed as a dancer until recently, he was previously listed as just a vocalist. KQ almost didn't debut him, because his dancing wasn't up to the rest of the guys, but he worked hard & now his fancams are the most viewed out of all of Ateez. Our mountain owns any stage he's on. Seonghwa is a rapper also. You can see him rap in the Japanese release of Dreamers & occasionally fancams capture him rapping like at Kcon recently. He was rapping on the sidelines along to Changbin from Stray Kids.

Thanks for more reactions to Ateez! FYI - Ateez was never meant to be just a dance crew or a kpop group that focused on dance. That's pretty much a misunderstanding that was perhaps picked up along the way because they were so good at dancing. But KQ always intended them to be a group with strong vocals and dancing but I think they just excelled so much in dancing that that's what they are really known for now. I have really enjoyed your reactions to them so far and I can't wait for you to hear some of their more softer, melodic songs. They do have a very diverse discography with a lot of different genres to choose from so it's really fun.

Ikr, they wasn't even a year old at tht time and suddenly MCs calling them 'Performance group'. Not sure if I'm wrong but haven't heard anyone calling an idol group as 'Performance group' before Ateez debuted. After that it's suddenly became a thing? Also, 'Stage presence' of idols wasn't a frequent discussion before, people only mentioned that when talked about 2nd gen idols but it kinda died for 3rd gen, but now it's a hot topic again after Ateez or specifically San and the demon line appeared in kpop scene~ I see Ateez set the standard too high for kpop now, and that's crazy!

@@MyLife_99z You are correct on both fronts. I think some fans thought that the "Global Performance Group" name was something that KQ came up with as a marketing ploy but it wasn't. I've been with these guys from practically the beginning of their journey. That title was actually given to them by industry insiders and the Korean press after they started getting buzz for being outstanding live performers during Wonderland era. Other idols and entertainers also started talking about how good their facial expressions and stage presence was around that time as well and then it just sort of stuck to them and that's what they've been known for every since. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing. It's nice to know that they are so well thought of. But I also really like when they perform their really chill songs where you can hear how pretty and distinct their vocals are. I really love their versatility as a group when it comes to talent and songs. It keeps things interesting and fun because you never know what to expect from them.

@@loveontopfan3100 Debut Atiny here, and same, witnessed their growth too :') Ateez was super underrated when they debuted, MV views not even reached a million! But they do their thing and broke the stigma that surrounds privileged groups. It's crazy how they received immediate recognitions from veterans, seniors, and fellow singers, but weirdly not from locals and general public, a truly unique (and frustrating) thing that happened to Ateez tht many groups didn't get to experience on early career. About their music, I love how they release every single thing on their own pace, planned timing, and dedicate entirely to the story lore. It's like they don't care the trends but made the fans thrilled to experience the universe they created. I agree w you abt the soft & chill songs. Songs like Promise, Utopia, Fever, Take me home, and Be with you have so much potential to become title track and could showcase their vocals well. Wish they would commercialise more of this side ^^

@@MyLife_99z It has been really fun watching them grow, not just with their fanbase but grow as artists and people. I have never seen a group this passionate about their craft to the point where they pour every ounce of their energy into every thing no matter how big or small. They seriously are the hardest working guys I've ever seen and I've been a kpop stan since 2nd Gen. I just really appreciate and respect their work ethic and the love and dedication they show to their craft. It's inspiring!

11:07 i’m not sure if you know this by now, but ateez were meant to be an idol group from the beginning. all of the members’ histories involve dancing and singing, e.g wooyoung and yeosang were bighit entertainment trainees, san moved from the countryside up to seoul when he was like 14 in order to pursue music, hongjoong joining kq entertainment and learnt producing from eden. i’m not sure where atiny got the idea that ateez were just going to dance, plus they were at an music company, so it’s kind of necessary to sing. but yeah, ateez are really great at dancing so i’m not surprised that people thought that they would be a dance group but ateez have a love of music and it would have been a shame for them to have pursued it.

Love your reaction. I'm amazed that you learn their names like immediately after watched them on KD, and even can tell who's who in Hala Hala just by their voices? For new fan that's really impressive! For their music, Edenary (KQ's music producer team) said they incorporated different musical elements by their eras (Treasure - Fever - World). If you listen to all of their songs by albums back to back, it's like a musical soap opera kind of thing. Everything's related, same goes to their storyline stuff and even in the choreographies and KD/ Immortal songs performances. They got all the good qualities into the production and that's all so genius and satisfying!

But the intensity of the dance…of how hard San dances especially, it’s a must see. San in Hala Hala is iconic.🤌🏼 It’s addictive to watch each performance of it lol. you should check out their “kq fellaz” dance performance videos. kq fellaz was their pre debut group name, there are 3 group performances and a yunho solo video, they are pretty short about 2 minutes or less each also about halateez, halateez is actually working with ateez to bring back emotion and art into the “strict-land” which is shown in guerrilla. in the rhythm ta performance wooyoung holds up a newspaper that shows halateez being called “terrorists” by the masked man that is basically the leader?/ruler of strictland. yea this comment is gonna be too long and boring so i’ll just leave it at that

Lol idk if you noticed but the irony of the pirates in the desert instead of the ocean during their debut Oh and the multiple time they hit the woah in the say my name mv. it wasn't really clear in the mv, you should definitely check out the dance practices
