Praying Remix reacts to Dlow’s reaction on stream sometime, I originally thought remix won as did many but the way Dlow described his thought process made me think about the battle in different ways. The only known fact about this battle is that it was ridiculously close😁

Point of gbb is to battle and destroy opponent by skill and crazy sounds, why do these beatboxers win with showcase routines, it used to be counters win you battles, now its who is artistic and structure, emotions ffs, its aa BATTLE, Remix bro u won this fair and square

It was close bro, Osis took this for me. I’ve seen this battle at least 50 times now. It’s the best battle at gbb24 for me. It was close anyone who thinks it wasn’t just needs to open their eyes. Osis just had the better night. Can’t wait to see you back gbb25

Osis had it for me, but your rounds were so dope. It was so close. Like dlow said, beating your rounds requires something really fucking extra, and in my opinion, Osis, by a very slight margin, delivered that something extra with his precision, structure and variation. On a subjective appreciation level, though, your rounds are living rent free in my mind now lol

I think the main reason you lost was because ur rounds have felt very similar in almost every way. And if u can mange to change ur structure and use ur ideas in in different ways not nessecairly other other sounds. But do them in different ways. Nontheless it was a very close battle but i feel like osis showed more identity and more matureness in his beatbox. But man u smashed it, im so excited to see you in the next gbb❤️

Plot twist, imagine the judges got confused with the colours and that is the only reason Osis won. Both of you smashed it, tough job to be a judge. Would love to see them give detailed feedback on their thought processes.
@GlitchhssСағат бұрын
💀 first of all Scott repeats the colors multiple times for a reason so it’s hard for them to mess up, and on top of that if they actually messed up it you would most likely see them visibly confused on why remix won since that wasn’t their intended votes. I understand your just making a “plot twist” scenario but it’s like criminally unrealistic

I was there live and I thought you clearly won. But then I also thought the rounds sound so similar so maybe they will vote for Osis
@remixs_apprentice4 сағат бұрын
This analysis is done by me after watching this battle more than 30 times now. In the heat of moment I also thought remix won. The reasons why osis edged the battle are 1. osis was more original in the first round as compare to a cover done by remix. But remix had more energy and fullness in his round for sure. osis is definitely was more precise and complex than remix. 2. tho remix had the best drop in his second round but it was followed by more simpler and kind of already done techniques compared to his previous rounds and elimination. His structure was kind of been repetitive at some point imo. 3. Osis had more variety in his structure and flow, he was standing more fresh in the battle than remix, lyrics are more original and shouts out loud his artistry. Osis did many mistakes in his 2nd round but the round itself was so crazy that it overshadowed the mistakes. Remix had close to no or simply no mistakes but some unclean parts tho. I am following remix since 2019-2020 and i have seen his evolution. If you see remix did prepared new rounds but due to sound system he was reluctant to perform them. All the other rounds which he prepared were from 2022 and 2023. I do want remix to surprise me in terms of structure and put his more artistry. I love you remix and i want you to win gbb next year.

I think there is no doubt that you NAILED the stage, the energy was 80% yours and 20% Osis and the crowd was in your favor. I understand also that these are battles, and energy on stage could be considered the number one parameter when judging. This is however debatable. Judges probably considered many more factors. Sometimes too complex and too technical could be considered spammy and less musical. I think you were SO CLOSE to actually win anyway and in many parallel universes you actually won.
@paullegend679813 минут бұрын
Same as what happened to King Inertia, you can't keep doing the same round over and over again. Some beatboxer already did all those sounds in that style already.... and although it's you, it still robs you of your uniqueness. Stuff just doesn't hit as hard as the first time you hear it - that first time, it blows you away. You don't get that same feeling 2nd, 3rd, 4th time.
@cert0403Сағат бұрын
You are a beast bro, that could go either way WHAT A BATTLE!! 🔥🔥 PD: I've seen some comments and yeah, you should take a look at D-Low's reaction if you haven't seen it yet, he's the only one that reaaally made me understand why Osis won.
@leonardotiezzi8499Сағат бұрын
Let me preface this by saying that I loved this battle and I think this was sooo close, but for me Osis took it. I understand where your opinion on crowd and judges reaction comes from but in my opinion it isn't this simple: Taking myself as a reference, I think I reacted very similarly to the crowd: I was going crazy during your drops, and It felt like Osis had a smaller ammount of impactful moments. But one thing I noticed is that while during your rounds it felt like my enjoyment was kinda going up and down (high during the drops, but low during transitions and buildups, as I found myself to just be "waiting for the next drop"), during Osis' rounds, my enjoyment was overall higher, even if the hype never "peaked" like in your rounds. Basically what I'm saying is that even if I found myself reacting harder to you, I still enjoyed Osis more overall, so thats why I think reactions can't be considered a decisive factor. Of course idk what the judges and the crowd were thinking so I might be the only one feeling like this, but this was just an attempt at providing a possible reason to why the judges might have voted for Osis. I've yapped way too much, still think you absolutely killed this! Hope to see you even stronger next year!💪
@AndrewChickenСағат бұрын
Like Dlow said, if you said "get smoked" instead of "get down" and transitioned the counter into the track better, you probably would've taken the battle. That double voice drop was INSANE! Or, well, it wasn't Insane? That's a different track!

The issue with D-Lows analysis is it has nothing to do with ability to understand music and skill level, it’s how much he personally subjectively weighs one objective category over another to the point where you can predict who he will pick based on that category alone. (Technically this is fine and the responsibility of that judge to decide, because it will likely be even across all performances) He is extremely analytical, and is technically the “smartest” beatboxer in his ability to understand intricacies, structure, replicate complexity, songwriting, and skill, but people don’t understand that he can actually have his own subjective preference and bias to weight one “objective” category over another of equal points to where it is actually dangerously unbalanced. I don’t have a problem with his analysis, I have a problem with his ability to think it’s balanced. Dlow personally weighs “originality” at a higher ratio over anything else that his analysis is not actually as “equal” as he thinks it is. He is technically saying that “originality” is more important than counters, overall power, and frequency of pitching combined in a battle, and is even basing his analysis on “what can this person do in the next round”, not on the overall performance that just happened. It’s not my place here to judge or critique him and can see everything he explains about Osis winning from his perspective, (I don’t disagree with him by the way), I just don’t think he is not actually as balanced as he thinks he is which is an issue.

this battle felt a bit like a less extreme version of dlow vs tomazacre. everyone i know says tomazacre won "the battle" but over the whole competition its very narrowly in favor of dlow. i think if osis didnt mess up his r2 he would have won surely. this way it was close andi would personally vote overtime or osis as he was a bit fresher. also think you could have given julard a closer fight. edit: if you went 2nd you probably win this battle imo (with double voice drop)
