Looking back over the vid, I just want to make sure we’re on the same page. I wasn’t bashing 4c hair in any way. I was just saying, with 4c hair the curls or coils are so tight that it doesn’t even look like a curl pattern, and when your hair is dry and matted, it doesn’t look like you have a curl pattern either. ALOT of people (including myself in the beginning of my hair journey) mistaken their hair for 4c when really all they need to do is moisturize their hair properly.

I don’t know who this comment is for? But! As a black male whose parents are from west Africa and their parents parents were from west Africa (so not mixed with any European blood to my knowledge) I can verify that his methods WORKS. I have 4c hair (I guess), I’m of the opinion that all Type 4 hair defaults to 4c when extremely dry and not moisturized (please correct me if I’m wrong) My hair is quite long and natural, been growing for about 2 years. I spent about 100 dollars and five hours in total to achieve the look, needed to get a hair dryer plus the other hair products. TLDR - Follow his steps exactly and you’ll get what you see! what was your morning routine when u first started doing curls and ur hair was shorter? Like at the start on ur first shake method video, what was ur routine in the morning?

If you want some clear advice ima just help you out a bit. 1) Wash your hair with Shampoo and Conditioner. Depending on how much hair you have, you could possibly go in with a deep conditioner. Make sure to detangle too. 2) Moisturize that hair, use a leave in along with some water, depending on how much moisture your hair holds, u might need an oil. The methods are: L.O.C and L.C.O, but if you hold in moisture nicely, I suggest just using the L.C. ( Liquid and Cream). 3. Styling ur hair should be fairly easy, get a Curling cream, curling smoothie, or something that's meant to define your curl pattern, such as the amazing Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smothie. Along side ur curling cream product, u should add a gel such as Eco Styler or maby even wetline xtreme gel. 4) Make sure everything is distributed in your hair evenly and try and find a reasonable ratio of how much of each product (including water) you should use. Make sure your hair is detangles and all that's left is to shake your head all around. If u have questions you could search up some wash and go's with the shake method or maby ask me.😁👍

I fw your videos man! 🔥 I’ve just started watching your videos a few months ago when I cut off my hair and I like your content! I would recommend not saying people’s hair isn’t moisturized so it looks like 4c. 😂 it could just make people in the natural hair community look at you as if you’re not that educated with type hair since the comment was very stereotypical. 4c hair is coarse, wiry, and verrryy coily. I promise you his hair does not look like yours when he washes his hair. Definitely not hating on anything bro! Just giving some advice that I’ve learned myself throughout my journey💪🏾
