I was so distracted by the visuals I didn't realise the meaning of the lyrics until watching this, it makes me love it even more. I'm so impressed how quickly you're able to interpret meanings, lyrics, visuals and even noticed samples all the time.

I always love when NCT 127 make songs about how unique they are. This one is basically that they aren't like anyone else, always outside the box, doing their own things, challenging kpop conventions and because of that, they succeed and the facts and the stats bear that out. They talk about being a flash point where they are the spark of trends and ignite change. They talk about how there are always questions about what they do but they don't bother answering or explaining because if you get it, you get it. People talk trash but will always pay attention. People wonder how they can do what they do and push the boundaries but it's just them.They gamble but ultimately win (the tapping and black jack lines). They are literally talking about how they make art yet that art will always be outside of the frames everyone else is working in. They reference famous artists and artwork (and the Louvre, the most famous museum in the world) but they only compare themselves to Banksy, which is clever. Banksy is known for using the world as his canvas and spray paint as his tool and his work is never meant for frames like other artists. He's an anomaly and revels there as do 127. It's a great representation of who not only NCT is but especially 127 because they are the most Neo and experimental of the units by design. Masterpiece.

A lot of the references here are also to creatures and gods from Korean mythology (hence the trailer introducing them as the Deities of Seoul). Each of them is portraying a different immortal powerful character and I love how many ideas they are layering in this!

The art references remind me of NCT U's "Baby Don't Stop." If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend it. Taeyong wrote his own lyrics in the song, and in verse 2, he says: "Yeah, play, play, play, play, play, I play in Paris (referring to plaster of paris) Stay, clay, sketch, dirt, dough, I'm gonna knead your body (referring to sculpting) Rothko, Auguste Rodin, Claudel (artists) I'll fashion you with warm colors All day holding, hold me tight (All day) Btw, Taeyong also choreographed the chorus of "Fact Check."

I appreciate and agree with one of the meanings you pointed out which is: Many people believe in things that are in the headline of a newspaper or TV or on social media and immediately make a judgment based on what "OTHER PEOPLE SAY" instead of going and checking the facts themselves first. Sometimes what you hear and see is not really what it seems. People should have critical thinking and always check the facts before jumping in a judgment.

Their teaser is called Deities of Seoul, you should totally check it out to connect more dots. Someone said the tattoo is the rune alphabet that represents they are like god or what idek. So when they stood beside the side of the building they have no tattoos but when they danced on the bridge, there are tattoos.
