Norwich supporter here. Never been the biggest fan of Sunderland as a club but I know the pain of relegation all too well, and being relegated to League one is a real kick in the balls, been there done that, don't wish it on any clubs in high leagues.. I think so - without checking, Sunderland played Vasas in the European Cup Winners Cup in the autumn of 1973 after they won the FA Cup in May. Sunderland won over two legs then went out to Sporting Lisbon in the next round. (I checked - we beat Vasas 2-0 and 1-0, then lost 3-2 on aggregate to Sporting (2-1 and 0-2).

I wasn't aware that this was the case until making this video. It was the same repetitive dross. This video was essentially for a laugh and to roast myself and my own club for bit of humour, but most of the comments just happened to be shite. They are a great team and will probably give Sunderland a good game when they go there and the loyal Sunderland supporters will still support them even if they end up in league 2 next season. I do feel for Sunderland, every league is difficult and I think league 1 will be a challenge for them. Its not quite the same but I support Leyton Orient. In season 2013-2014 we finished 3rd in league 1 and were knocking on the door to the championship. Season 2014-2015 it was a big shock but we got relegated to league 2, season 2015-2016 we finished 8th in league 2, season 2016-2017 we were hoping for a play of place to get back into league 1 but finished bottom of league 2. Last season we only finished 13th in the National league. We haven't had the best time either and Sunderland don't deserve this much stick I wouldn't wish relegation on any club because i know how it feels. Good luck in League 1 Sunderland hope you can go back up. But in the meantime, support a better team and enjoy Accrington😀.

Not a Newcastle fan, but they really don't have to be more creative. The big Sunderland jab at Newcastle was, "enjoy Burton away." "Enjoy Accrington away" is hilarious, because somehow you've ended up in a worse situation than Burton. And the jab at the end about the H2H results is just you looking for literally anything positive to take from your situation. We did that (Arsenal fans) when we finished second to Leicester.
