Another thing that is worrisome is the fact that boys will also think this is how women should look. They could end up expecting girls they are dating to not have cellulite and have a tiny waist.

I found my husband actively following/liking pictures of a veryyyyy risqué cosplayer just after having our second baby and it knocked me down so hard! Between postpartum hormones and my body still recovering from pregnancy, it shattered my confidence. Watching your videos made me feel so much better, and in turn I looked into some real photos of this girl. She was so...normal! I found hips, curves, cellulite and skin texture. Thank you for giving me the confidence to step back and look at the world through a realistic lense. I am finally coming to love myself as a strong mama of two, this body has done so much for me! ❤

As if living my life in a culture where everyone has something to say about the next person’s body wasn’t enough… and people my age have more purchase power to get invasive surgeries done to make ourselves look like facetuned….ENOUGH WITH THIS BODYSHAMING CULTURE!

And as we get older a lot of people view women over the age of 30 as old which is insane! It’s like we’re old trash as soon as we’re 30. I hate that. Ageism is so frustrating. Turn 30 doesn’t make you forget all of the things that happened to us when we were in our teens and 20s

Influencers have the right to post what they want, but it doesn’t mean they should. With great power comes great responsibility, these influencers are irresponsible. Yes it’s harsh to say, but we gotta call it as it is. People see it as harmful to society, But i see it as a harm to oneself. To feel you’re not going to be accepted so you edit yourself to THAT extent beyond recognition, let’s not talk about society, let’s talk about the betrayal to yourself.

Absolutely girl! We are just starting to understand that we need ethical principles and limits also in social media, not just in "real life" because virtual reality is part of our lives and we need to get responsable for what we post. I teach philosophy to young teens and I believe is very important to show them the apparent truth behind this kind of content and to be critical and not compare with this persons, we need to start teaching than at every single school ASAP, I have to change my program to teach it because it's not in the curriculum but it's so important.

Makes you wonder. If 95% of us has cellulite and it’s clearly just part of us, then who and why made it a ‘thing’ and came up with a name for it???? It could be known as… you know thighs ? We all have them. Fascinating, isn’t it?

Marketers did. To sell cellulite cream & treatments. It's a historical fact, like the invention of "BO" as a marketing term (and Coke's Santa Claus, which actually majorly changed people's idea of Santa. 🤯) It's genuinely brilliant, isn't it? Like how "natural" brows are in, yet there are more (& more expensive) products & treatments "required" for them than ever...

I don't feel bad for these women who Photoshop their photos and when they get caught complain about the beauty standards. They are literally perpetuating, causing and participating in the beauty standards by editing their photos while pretending they aren't to begin with. No pity at all for them. If they are honest about their photos being edited and show that it's not real or tag that it's Photoshop then you know that's a totally different thing and I have major respect for that. But you don't get to complain about having to follow a beauty standard when you are literally perpetuating it. Like I did not feel bad at all when Khloe Kardashian freaked the f*** out when that normal photo of her leaked. She is a MAJOR perpetuator of the standard she's complaining about. That would be like me complaining about my house being robbed while I'm also committing robberies of other people's houses.

I read a comment on tiktok the other day that said something along the lines of "even the beauty standard can't achieve the beauty standard" and its so true, the media has created such unachievable standards that even people who have access to so much money can't even attain the standard. To think of it from the influencers standpoint it must be horrible, feeling like you constantly have to alter yourself otherwise people will discover the real you isn't as godly as they thought. Body dysmorphia must be so rampant within this community

This is the biggest problem I think. STOP Calling a standard! There is nothing standard about that, these are the exception. People need to stop finding the most perfect picture of the most perfect person and call it a standard. Calling it an unobtainable standard, still labels it as a standard. Men don't thin Arnold or Stallone are the standard, we understand they are very unique.

What gets me is how easy it can be to see that someone has a filter on their face, but if there isn't anything warped in the background, just how believable and well done some of the body editing is. If the proportions aren't absolutely impossible it's so easy to accept what we are viewing as reality! Crazy. Can't wait for having internal organs to be fashionable again 🤣😘

So if you are a woman who lives your life showing off how confident you are and how much you love every part of your body, I just want to say thank you. You're not just helping yourself, you're helping everyone around you!

ok honestly love these videos, I'm the 'fat' one in the family and I'm always being called fat or being compared to pig by my family members, breaking much of my confidence, and up to this day, I'm still quite reluctant to wear certain clothing. I'm not jealous of influencers or anything it just gives a false stand of what beauty stands are and what is expected me to keep up with and anyone can post what they like but, influencing standards to a point that it destroys common image or natural body types making young girls especially to hate themselves is a bit disappointing.

Steph, *thank you* . Tash is the first model you've covered who has anything like the degree of cellulite I have after years using a wheelchair. I'm naturally slender, + against all odds my bottom is still pert, but I am dimples from knee to hip, & honestly I so often feel like no-one beautiful looks like me, even under the retouching. I live in terror of being seen in bathers, & I stopped dating because I was constantly in my head about a guy being excited to get me "out of the wrapping-paper" + then being super disappointed or even turned off by what I look like naked. Thanks for making me feel less alone. You don't know just how much these videos are worth; every one improves a life. So thank you, dear lady. Thank you.❤

When I was young, I did have that insta-body growing up on the sunny beaches of California. Slim, fit, hourglass, long legs, no cellulite. I remember not feeling good enough or pretty enough. I spent my gorgeous youth feeling insecure because people were so cruel. Women were catty and jealous. Men where either too afraid to approach, or sleazy. Even my mother was uncomfortable with a beautiful daughter. I'm 57 now and old habits die hard- it's still a conscious decision to remain in a state of acceptance. Oh, and nothing much has changed- women are still jealous, and men either avoid me or proposition me. Girls, love yourself in all your glory!

I guess the thing that bothers me the most is when "influencers" like Tasha are known for their bikini bodies and make tons of money from their photos and the difference between the photos and real life is so huge. She's not just smoothing out cellulite and correcting skin tone... she's making herself appear taller by significantly thinning out her legs, making her waist several inches smaller with substantially more muscle definition. It's frustrating to see that she essentially has a career as a flawless bikini model when she actually is very average, and there are many people who look pretty close to her edited pics in real life and they are working real jobs.( And no, I'm not referring to myself as I am average as well)

I remember the first time I saw a dimple on my thighs, I was doing a photoshoot and the photographer was like, "work it girl"! You are absolutely beautiful! Ladies we are nurturers by nature, our bodies are the vessel of life. Anybody who thinks that social media is real needs a class on photoshop. I mix music as a producer and it's no different in my world. When I work with an artist I have to enhance them through mixing techniques to get their voice radio ready otherwise it would sound blah, mediocre, basic. Nobody truly sounds good on a beat without some compression and EQ. So while enhancements are great, it's all extra. Humans are just silly with all this internal representation they give meaning to. If you don't go within, you'll go without. Stay aware!

It's a collective action problem unfortunately. Tip for better sound quality - look up what a sound booth looks like - it’s that ‘eggcarton foam’ and they are small… so try getting a 3 part foldable ‘wall’ made, insulate it with either that foam or just cardboard egg cartons - ALL OVER…. It’s not pretty, but by moving the ‘wall’ closer to you reduce the echo… put some on the ceiling too ;) You can even get sound proofing that’s georgeus ( often used in movie ‘theater’ rooms.. ) they have some that have that insulating stuff behind som wood paneling… But you don’t need to!! Every hard surface gets echoey… so try looking in to thick curtains and hang them up on the walls!! You could even just pull them aside when not using the space, but even 3 sides that are completely covered in thick fabric will help…. And for even more - the floor and the ceiling.. - and maybe some epic backdrop ;)

One thing I'd love to see tackled more is Tiktok filters. Usually when I watch tiktoks on youtube (don't have tiktok myself), it often makes me kinda insecure because everyone's so cute. Then last week I realized it's a filter that creates this look (it honestly made me feel so much better realizing this). Also, I realized you focus mainly on cellulite and skin, but I love these kind of breakdowns because it makes me realize not everyone has those gorgeous legs, and most people have the same kinda legs as I do (my own insecurity), and also that people look a lot less tall in real life.

Thank you so much Stephanie for always keeping it real. I absolutely adore you for all you do at trying to help so many to realize how fake and toxic social media in general can be. I am scared to see how our youth and young adults will be affected by all of these visuals of "perfection" in 10 or 20 years time. I see so many getting surgery, fillers, botox or even "Thread Lifts" at younger and younger ages and it's truly frightening! I'm in my mid 40's and I can tell you that all my friends have "tramp stamp" tattoos on our lower backs because they were all the rage and NEARLY ALL of us regret them. While I didn't have breast implants done, a lot of my friends did and I can't think of a single one that still has them any longer! They've ALL had them removed as they've caused problems (and yes, they're just not as popular as they once were in the 90's and early 00's as you can see by the many celebrities and models getting them removed.) Can you imagine how these girls will feel having butt implants, BBL's and other surgical procedures done at such a young age when trends change every 10-15 years as they inevitably do? Look at every era in the 1900's and how all body types, eyebrow shapes, lips, etc changed dramatically every decade! Heck, look at "Instagram brows" or "Contouring" or "Under eye concealer" techniques from even 2015 and look at how they've changed in just 6 years!!!!! Let the lesson be here that if you take good care of your body and skin, (taking the advice of a good doctor and dermatologist) using sunscreen and starting on a regular skincare routine from a young age and do the bare minimum until you really need it, you can look amazing at EVERY age. I've had to remember that not everyone gets the chance to age. It took having cancer to realize that not every day is guaranteed and I'm thankful for every day I have. That doesn't mean I don't care about my beauty routine, it does help me to remember how lucky I am to be able to age gracefully and with my health. 😊 Thanks for helping everyone to remember that they're perfect just as they are! 💕 Sending much love to you all!

Please keep making these videos! I am 14 turning 15 and even though I think that these kind of pictures don't affect me, at the end of the day they do affect me. Videos like these, especially your videos, have got me loving my candid and "ugly" photos and selfies! You're sending out a very important message into the world

You're videos are honestly so helpful! SO sorry that they're getting taken down. I think youtube see's the change you and others like you are bringing to our society and demonitizes it because they know how much money they can loose if girls became confident in their own skin. Thanks so much for all the work you put in for these videos!!

We need more people like you giving this kinda messages to the world, specially when the most affected ones are teenagers/young girls/men, I wish I had heard this kind of stuff as a teen.

When I saw this video thumb nail I thought "oh another person bashing women for making a living" I respect you and this video so much. It is a person's right to look however they want and when its literally a woman's livelyhood to look a certain way, there is no shame in that. Its a job and half the time MODELS DO NOT GET TO CHOOSE IF THEIR PHOTOS ARE EDITED. Could you imagine everyday a new strangers edits your body, pointing out all your flaws on a daily basis. Showing you a "perfect" version of yourself if only you didn't have this or that. I feel more people should watch your videos for the straight body positive affirmations.

I ended up losing my job, my depression got worse, acne breaking out something fierce, and I've gained around 5 - 6kg as a result. I have been feeling very low and have been overeating. Your video has helped clear my head; I'm going to slowly go back to my old healthy eating habits.

Seems like once an ig model or influencer has a certain image, they will maintain it no matter what. So even when they gain weight (bc as humans we all fluctuate) they have to edit even more to keep up that image they’ve been perpetuating. So the difference between ig and reality becomes even greater and more damaging to said influencer and their fans.

When I was 16 I had never really paid attention to celebrities, but there were girls in my school who I thought had a better body than me. I decided to research things that could improve my health, food, excercises, how much sleep I should be getting. It took 4 years to figure out what I liked to eat that would promote health, how I wanted to workout, and what workouts my body reesponded too. And then another year to have the body I wanted. Sometimes these things take patience, but if we put in the work in to be our best selves, we can see results we want to see!! It was an empowering and fun journey!

I am so thankful to have found this channel ❤. Even at my age I find her videos so helpful. I'm 39, I teach dance fitness classes outside my full time job & have done so for the last 13 yrs. In my late 20s/early 30s, I was a size 2. After knee surgeries from serious injury I had to slow down with the frequency of classes, therefore reducing my workouts. At 39, I'm a size 6. Sometimes a 4 depending on the brand. I'm also short (5'1), so because I'm short, I make a conscious effort not to go past size 6, for my health and to keep exccess weight off my joints. Obesity runs in my family line so my entire life, I have always made a conscious effort to constantly be athletic and moving so I do not fall into that. I continue teaching my dance classes, even on injuries; I just modify what I can & have reduced the days. It's hard. I deal with body image issues and I have days where it bothers me emotionally. I can call it out & recognize it's an issue because it has caused me to isolate. Anyone that knows me personally, would never think I battle with body esteem issues, but I do. Women deal with so much unnecessary pressure regarding beauty standards, weight, hair, nails, dating/marriage, the pressure to have it ALL career wise, etc.... its just too much!!! Meanwhile dudes will be any size, roll out the bed 🛌🏽 throw on a t-shirt and barely comb his hair and society says nothing 🤔.. the math ain't mathin' and I'm TIRED of the pressures. Everywhere women look, it's in our faces 24-7. Her videos have been so informative.
