The Astronaut is a love song to ARMY that Jin co-wrote with Coldplay. ARMY is represented by the little girl who is about 9/10 years old which is the age of the fandom. Jin calls ARMY his earth, his home, in another song, Moon. Purple is our color. Many many other references such as items in the room and even the blank squares on the crossword spell out For ARMY in braille 💜 He flew to Buenos Aires & sang the song with Coldplay at their concert last Friday & you can find it on the BTS YT channel. jin has to enlist in the mandatory military service in Korea for 2 years which is serious business so this a a goodby song for the fans till he can come back to them. he co wrote this song with chris martin from Coldplay and just performed it in their concert in Argentina. it was so emotional, everyone was crying their eyes out !

Im sure BTS members are some of the kindest people really. So many people who have seen and met them have confirmed it. Jin is leaving for mandatory military service, thats why he released this song as a temporary goodbye to his members and army. He'll be back before 2025. Soryy this is long but you might love knowing some of these fun facts about the MV you were a part of! There are sooo many details in this MV that mostly only armys will be able to notice/understand and here are a few that really stands out. I hope it helps you guys understand why it is such an emotional one for the fandom. - There are many other BTS MVs where they used a small girl to represent the fandom so the girl here represents the fandom, ARMY. - She's wearing a purple helmet in a later shot(purple is the official colour of the fandom) It was black first because purple was never a special colour to the fandom until after a few years of their debut when Taehyung gave it a meaning. So it kind of signifies and captures a small detail of the timeline of BTS and ARMY, in a sense. - They chose a girl who is around 9-10 years old because it's the same as ARMYS age; the fandom was formed around 10 years back. -If you look closely there is a braille tattoo on his neck and it reads "ARMY" - The suit Jin wears at the beginning of the MV resembles the one he wore to the first day of school in real life (there is a photo of 4-year-old him wearing a suit that looks exactly like that) The kid's drawing on the wall shows him wearing the same suit once again. It's basically to show his past and innocence, reminiscence of his lyrics from "Yet to come": "Somewhere deep inside your heart, there still lives a young boy" - Chris Martin makes a cameo in the MV as the news reporter reading the news - The blackened-out spaces on the crossword (in braille) reads "For ARMY" - The guitar you see in his room is the same guitar Chris Martin signed and gifted Jin when they met. - If you notice when he was on the street people ignored him (which was the role you guys had to act out) but the "astronaut" caught his attention. Jin was cast on the streets randomly by a Bighit staff who saw him get off the bus. He never intended to be a kpop-idol and never auditioned. So the astronaut here could represent the company itself who found him literally on the street one day. - The shot of his room has elements that represent all BTS members - Books = Namjoon, Guitar = Yoongi, Instant camera = Jhope, Flowerpot (like his "serendipity" bubble) = Jimin, Vinyl player/Boston bag= Taehyung, Speaker/Radio = Jungkook) They're all there, close to him. - The pickup truck has a lot of meaning because it has appeared in many of their past MV that's connected to the BU ( Love Yourself Highlight reels, the HYYH era) In those MVs, it was Jin who used to drive the boys around in a black pick up truck ; it symbolises the time they cherished together and their memories. In this case, it was a pick up truck (reminiscence of the ones in their MV) that finally stopped and took him "home" In a way, Jin was like a lost astronaut that happened to crash land on earth which was unfamiliar to him just like how he ended up as a part of BTS without ever dreaming for such a path. It was unfamiliar and he was unsure about it (that was the reason why he had a stoic expression most of the time) until he met the little girl (army) who cherished him and to whom he taught things only to realise later how they both made each other happy. He realised home was where his "family" is ; his family comprising of his 6 brothers and ARMYs. Towards the end, Jin looks hopeful and eager as he hears the sound of the bicycle bell which indicates that the little girl(army) is waiting right outside (fun fact: the first option for the fandom name they had was "bells" and they later changed it to ARMY) ; that when he returns back from the military, army will be waiting for him. These are just a few but there are soo many other details. I hope you react to his LIVE performance too (You must listen to the speech Chris Martin gave before the actual performance. It's emotional but beautiful all at the same time

This is a nickname he jokingly invented for himself when he learned that he went viral after the BBMAs in 2017 for being so handsome at the red carpet. He's such a funny guy. Please do explore more BTS, as reaction videos or on your own. My suggestions would be either their recent performances, or Jin's solo songs, or songs by the four singers of BTS. Jin's voice really shines in live performances. Recent performances: * "Run BTS" at their Busan Concert. The song is so hype and the choreography is fire. * "Butter" at the latest Grammy Awards. Best performance of the night. Jin's solo songs: Epiphany, Super Tuna, Awake, Moon, Abyss, Tonight. Songs by the BTS singers (the other three are rappers): The Truth Untold, Dimple, House of Cards, Zero o'Clock. Oh no, I've recommended so many songs. I'd suggest starting with "Run BTS" and "Dimple".

lol i can see how u guys were ignorant about kpop or bts in general and compared them to someone like 1D. While I have great admiration for one direction, bts is light years ahead of them. I hate the comparison honestly just because bts puts their blood sweat and tears into everything they do and they were the underdogs in a very competitive industry. Theyve worked their way up and was the sole reason their company didnt go bankrupt. Theyre different from the typical boyband since they actually write and produce their. music on top of the 14+ hours they were training to sing and dance before debuting. Everything was stacked against them and they still prevailed. Also you will never see a group as dedicated to their fandom as much as they are. Truly one of a kind and I cant wait for them to reunite in 2025.

You guys are adorable! I’m so glad that you got to do this and see Jin up close. He’s the most wonderful talented kind and caring person. I can’t believe that you actually bumped into him and touched him! You will be the envy of 90 million people around the world! Just to catch you up on what happened since all those years ago when you watched them, BTS is the biggest artist and band in the world and has been for several years. (Check out IFPI Charts, Billboard, & Touring Data!) They sell out stadiums around the world. I have been to eight stadium concerts in the US alone. We do not consider them kPoPp at all. K-pop is an industry within Korea but there are many many Korean artists who are not Kpop. As we say BTS IS THE GENRE. They are genre-agnostic true & authentic artists who do not fit in any box. They are artists who write their own music as well as produce much of their own music. Sometimes however they have friends and other songwriters cowrite songs. This song was written by Coldplay and given to Jin by the members who are very good friends of BTS. ARMY comes in all ages, genders, nationalities, races, and professions. The little girl represents ARMY, and Jin has always said we are his Universe, he is the Moon that is orbiting around ARMY (Earth), and when he is with us, he is home. Jin wrote this song with Coldplay, and he wrote it as a love letter to ARMY before he goes into the Military.(In South Korea, all able bodied men have to serve, and it's his time to go) He will be enlisting after his solo promotions are done, and he already has his service date of December 13, 2022. All the members will have to enlist after their solo promotions are done, and they will all serve 18 months, and they will reunite in 2025. I've been BTS ARMY since 2020, and this song touched my heart and I felt it with every part of my soul. I cried the first couple times I watched it. Jin performed this song for the first and last time (until after his service and he is back in 2025). He performed it in Argentina with Coldplay recently. Please watch the live performance.
