While I don't have a fav wedding movie, there is a quartet book series that I really love and all 4 books are about these 4 friends who run a wedding planning business together and how each of them fall in love and the books ends with the wedding of the 1st book's main couple and it's so sweet. If you haven't guessed they're all romance novels and the author is Nora Roberts, who's one of my favs. Series is called Bride Quartet and my fav book of the series is the 3rd book, Savor the Moment.

@seaztheday44182 жыл бұрын
It's truly a tragedy what happened to Julie Andrews' voice - they wrote her part in Crowning Glory specifically to remain within her now-limited vocal range and it physically hurts to know how restricted she became considering what a talent she had for singing and what a wide range she'd once had. It's my understanding she's since regained a little more vocal range, but without significant improvement to medical technology will likely never have anything close to the voice she once had

I am really surprised. I never was a fan of Princess Diaries 2 and one of the reasons was that I remember none of the love interests to be... well interesting. Didn't see this movie in ages and never drew the conclusion to other Chris Pine roles... and I think purely physically he grew into those. And then there is Callum Blue, the weirdest choice for General Zod ever; now I really wanna check out the romantic movies he played in afterwards to check out if he ever played male romantic interest ever again

My cousin worked with Chris Pine before. He's a director for commercials and several years ago they did a commercial that involved a lot of lightbulbs exploding (they were made of sugar) and after each take, they had to do a huge clean up, put up new fake bulbs, then do another take. So there was a lot of waiting around. Chris Pine apparently offered to help clean up, he chatted up all the crew from crafts people to PA's etc. My cousin said that even after 14 hour days Chris Pine was a total delight, he was very nice to everyone and never once complained. It just makes me like him so much more :)

I'm still kinda disappointed they didn't follow the books but it's still so good. And Chris Pine! Another fun facts: 1. Julie Andrews performed her own stunt in the mattress-surfing scene. 2. Hannah Schneider, who played the girl dancing with Julie Andrews and Raven-Symoné at the slumber party, is Julie Andrews' granddaughter. 3. Julie Andrews' line, "I've done a lot of flying in my time" is a reference to her iconic role as Mary Poppins. 4. Abigail Breslin's brother Spencer Breslin had a minor role as Prince Jacques, the kid who dances with Mia at her birthday party. 5. Sophia Loren is in the birthday party scene, behind Raven-Symoné when she first appears wearing glasses and a gold dress. 6. Heather Matarazzo (Lilly) came out as gay between the two Princess Diaries movies. She literally came out of the closet in her first appearance in this movie. 7. Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson was the official theme song for this movie. The music video shows Kelly going to the premiere and watching the movie. 8. The song that is sung in Mandarin at the royal garden party is Miracles Happen, the ending song from the first movie.

29:28 - This is the one moment in this movie that just wrecks me every time...Julie Andrews singing. After she had surgery to remove a lesion on her vocal cords in 1997, she was left without her singing abilities, even though the doctors had told her she would be able to after a few weeks. So, when we see this one scene pops up seven years later...anyone seeing this film, knowing and loving Julie Andrews as Maria in 'The Sound of Music', as Mary Poppins, or any of her other musical roles...this is so moving to see. It's not the glorious coloratura voice she had for most of her life...but she's in tune, and she is singing. That is enough. I love both of these movies...thanks, guys!

Favorite moments: 1. The entire bedroom closet scene makes me laugh every time. 2. The suitors scene. Especially with the hindsight on Prince William, it's hilarious. "I just love to look at him." "Me too." Also, some passing, very vague gay rep, a bit surprising for early 2000s Disney. 3. "I look like a moose." "But a very cute moose! Make all the boy moose go 'HWAH'!" 4. "If you hurt my girl, remember I have diplomatic immunity in 46 countries. Including Puerto Rico." Mattress surfing gets an honorable mention too, that looked like the funnest sleepover when I was kid, even though in retrospect it makes little sense for a royal 21-year-old to be doing a sleepover for her bachelorette party.

I love this movie so much! I don;t think anyone else has mentioned it yet, so I will. The random Stan Lee cameo (that happened years before that became a thing) is because he was friends with the director, Garry Marshall, who randomly asked his friend if he wanted to have a little cameo (cameos were a big thing with Marshall, a lot of the children in the movie were his relatives). It's just funny because, the decades that followed "Stan Lee Cameos" became a thing, which makes his appearance here retroactively funny. (It also means that there's a joke that this means the Princess Diaries movies take place in the MCU. At this also means were have all the Chirs'. XD) Speaking of Chris Pine, if you've seen almost nothing with him, that means you haven't seen the modern Star Trek movies. Those would be good to look into doing.

Speaking of singers this was indeed the era of Kelly Clarkson. American Idol was huge back then. I know of a 2000’s romantic comedy movie that I think all of you guys would enjoy. The movie is called 13 Going on 30 starring both Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo. 😇💕

Thank you for posting this on KZbin ♥ it's my favorite of the two. Anne Hathaway herself mentioned wanting to do a part 3 in an interview, but I haven't heard anything since, hopefully they do one and we see her and Chris Pine married with a couple kids hehe :D lol.

28:45 Julie Andrews wearing a Hooded cardigan while saying “I used to do it differently” and then couch surfing is actually a reference to herself as Mary Poppins 🥹

I literally bawled when Julie Andrews sang, several years before this she had had surgery on her vocal chords and they weren't sure if she would ever be able to sing again. 😭 When she was able to sing on screen (even if it was speak singing) for the first time. I just wept.

Kelly Clarkson’s song Breakaway was Written by Avril Lavigne for Avril’s First Album but she never ended up using it. I’ll always love Joe’s threat of 46 countries & Puerto Rico
