Hey Duaffy, great reaction! Here is a quick summary of how every Quentin Tarantino movie goes, as you continue your exploration of his films: 1) Tension tension tension tension tension, buildup buildup buildup buildup (typically done either through dialogue or plot) 2) An intense release of said tension and buildup in a burst of over-the-top violence. 3) Either the dialogue or violence (or both) can be funny or comical . . . and it's "okay" to laugh. 4) His favorite genres are gangster movies, blacksploitation, westerns, and samurai movies. 5) His stories are told out of chronological order. 6) He likes feet. There. That's it. That's everything you need to know when you watch a Tarantino movie.

The earlier chase involving Mr. Pink gives us a glimpse into his character, and when he goes out the door with the diamonds, we hear him engaging the cops. There's no way he goes down without a fight. Definitely DOES NOT GET ARRESTED. Sorry that does not happen. But, up in my brain, and deep down in my heart, in that special place my imagination calls home, he makes it. He escapes with the diamonds. He slips through a narrow gap in the building, runs down the narrow lane, leaps over the guardrail and slides down to the freeway. He carefully weaves his way across the freeway and gets away. That's the way my brain says it happened. ( :E

My favourite bit of the movie is just the momentary gratitude and wonder that passes across Mr Orange’s face when Marvin tells him that he knew who he was. That he endured the worst of Mr Blonde and still didn’t give him up. Didn’t last long, alas, but still.
@bluebird32812 жыл бұрын
I think he was about to crack though, and that is why Mr. Orange shot. Mr. Blonde said he was just torturing him, but he absolutely wanted to know who the rat was. It was a tactic, though I am sure he would have lit him up anyways after he found out. Not dissing the cop, he held out longer than most people would have but that lighter getting lit..... Orange could have shot at any time during the torture but waited until the last moment. Just my theory

What a lot of people don't realize is that Mr. Pink did NOT get away. After he leaves and Larry is holding Freddy, if you turn your volume up you will hear the cops arriving outside and they are shouting at Mr. Pink and then you hear lots of gunshots. Shortly after, the cops burst through the warehouse door. For them to come in the warehouse that quickly means they shot down Mr. Pink.
@Belnick66662 жыл бұрын
I agree with that, but have quentin tarantino confirmed it? Could also be that they knew there was an undercover cop in the building needing help so they prio that over chasing after mr pink :o

Interesting thing about the Mexican stand-off - in the script, Mr. White shoots Joe and then Nice Guy Eddie, but when they were filming it, Chris Penn’s squib went off early, so he fell to the ground earlier than he was supposed to. Harvey Keitel’s squib also went off early after shooting Joe, so he fell to the ground too. Tarantino decided to keep it in the film as a way to get people talking about it.
