bill medley is the guy with the deep voice he also did the song in the 80s with jennifer warnes called i had the time of my life, which was a song on dirty dancing sound track.

Stella - now you really should react to Soul and Inspiration. It also features those deep baritones from Bill Medley as well as some solo verses from Bobby Hatfield. And of course, their beautiful harmonies together. Soul and Inspiration was written by the same writers as this song and they wrote it as a follow-up to the success of this song; also peaked at #1 for three straight weeks in the US. It's another beautiful love song that will touch your soul.

I grew up with this song, I have always loved it, it is fantastic. But let's look at what is happening here. The woman he is singing to is already emotionally detached, and he is trying to salvage the relationship. He may do that, but she will wander again soon. She is not invested to the degree he is. In the end, this relationship is doomed, and his agony will continue until it is dead and buried and he recovers from mourning from it. He has not done anything wrong, but family court will probably eat him alive and spit out his financial bones for her. How do I know? Been there, done that, suffered for it, do you want to see my emotional scars? No matter how committed he is to the relationship, if she is not similarly committed the courts will punish him for the failure and reward her. I cry inwardly every time I hear this beautiful song.
