I’ve noticed that Mizuki has their hands behind their back, compared to Ena’s hands reaching out, it is quite a contrast. It could represent their hesitation for change, even if they are able to accept it.

I was talking to some friends about it, but mizuki has always been careful about her expression and how she's perceived. we get those little moments of dysphoria coming from her throughout the stories that really add up to that. we know she's been extra careful with her hair since having it at a short length it's a reminder of the past, so having her with her hair cut short looking hopeful and relieved after being outed so aggressively means SO MUCH... she received so much love and gentleness that she let go of the thing most tied to her gender expression to look just like the two people that love her and that she loves the most (ena and yuuki). they're rewriting the past and making a better future with it, specially with the sakura blossoms representing her past events and how she feared change 🥺 + ena and mizuki have matching sakura blossom promise rings on their new outfits and their trained cards forming a heart with the sakura branches

What i noticed in Ena's trained artwork is that there is a butterfly shape in her front of the dress, and some butterfly looking flower on her head, which is same for mizuki's trained card. Could that also be that no matter what mizuki is, ena will always be there and their friendship bond will never break, which can be why mizuki is smiling? Also this whole set is so refreshing to see, like a new beginning to nightcord too :)

enas card looks really bittersweet, with how she comforts mizuki ☹ THE WHOLE SET LOOKS SO GENTLE enas trained : her facial expression sorta reminds me of one thats like- glad? its really gentle and sincere even if she shows it subtly, you can tell shes happy to have mizuki back as she welcomes her with open arms ( sorta? ) with how her hand is extended towards mizuki. mizuki untrained : im assuming mizuki untrained is connected towards enas untrained, with how shes crying. I havent read the story yet and im waiting for it to be posted on youtube, but if i were to guess, shes being apologetic abt how shes avoided ena , as well as all of niigo. mizuki trained : her facial expression seems to be a look of acceptance with the support she found herself to have in niigo about her identity, as shes seen crying tears of joy. Its also worth noting that after the events of mizu5, she has begun wearing skirts in her trained cards regarding her focus events, as from mizu1 to mizu4, shes been seen wearing shorts every time. the colours in the card, that being consisting of light colours and whites. Whites are usually centered around purity and innocence, and comparing to mizu5, the white flowers were caged, and if i assume correctly, symbolize how she can never get to the stage of being seen as pure? or at least how she views it ( also with how there was red tainted in her clothes. ) I feel like the white flowers symbolize the change of views, both in how she views herself, and how she thinks niigo views her. That being seeing her for who she is, not her secret? Please correct me if im wrong on this part. i'll try and make a doc for both mizu5 and ena5 for my analysis

This set is genuinely majestic and ethereal. The outfits, expressions, perspective, symbolism, everything. As an amature artist, i truly adore the work that the team is putting in. The artwork for this game has always been good, but you can really see the improvement over the years. And as a mafuyu fan and kinnie, i take that little smile as a big win for the community, im letting the wedding bells toll🔥🔥🔥✍️✍️✍️🔔🔔🔔 (also dec 7 will be the one year mark of me playing pjsk and the hyperfixation has stayed surprisingly strong)

7:24 Meiko’s problem was the same as Mizuki, holding back. However, Meiko’s reasoning was that time is needed before ppl can reach a point where they can be honest. Which is true. Mizuki also told Mafuyu she needed to run so she could have time to figure things out. I think all the vocaloids do have good advice, but Meiko believed Mizuki would have more time than she had.

Another thing I noticed about the Mizuki card was, people say when you cut your hair it represents change or new beginnings so I thought this detail was beautiful!

I MISSED YOU LAURA!! ALSO THE SET IS SO PRETTY!! I dont have the jp sever and im VERY behind on the stories (i joined in april and the most recent story ive read is “imprisoned marionette”) but i saw a little bit of Mizu5 and she looks so happy now! Mizuki is one of my 3 favorite pjsk characters besides my son and Tsukasa and im glad she is happy!! I felt like i related a lot to the very little i have seen of Mizu5, and i kinda relate to her being somewhat scared of change because when i came out to my friends and stuff, i kinda felt that way. But yeah, this is very sigma and i cant wait for the translatations of ena5 :D

I love how every card gets progressively more purple. Ena has some almost red ish tones in her card, Mizuki brings her trademark pink into it, MEIKO darkens the pallette while Kanade just fully leans into it. So cool. Also, the cherry blossoms move further out of focus with every card. Will be pulling for this once it comes to EN, for sure

I’ve noticed that In Ena’s card .she looking like she is finding the butterfly/reflection [Mizuki] . She couldn’t find her , so she cried. But in this she is reaching out of her hand as if she found the butterfly/reflection and she is showing her path to the light. Also , I am curious what will be the next Ena event instead ‘Why do we do art?’ And ‘Secret of Mizuki’.

I've seen someone saying that MEIKO's hairstyle could be based on both Mizuki's (left half) and Ena's (right half) hairstyles. And from what I see myself, her bangs (middle) were kept to a minimal change and resembles her default, so this might be symbolizing how MEIKO is the "bridge" to the reconnection between Ena and Mizuki. I'm not so good at describing these things with words, so I hope this isn't confusing (and forgive me for my MEIKO bias lol)

I might be remembering things wrong but I think this is the first time Mizuki is smiling like that in a trained card of a niigo event, they usually do it on the untrained and the mix events Also I love their hair, I never expected them to cut it and they didn't need to but the fact is a middle point of their sister and Meiko is so 🥺 but the extra detail of it being paler shows that being in the empty sekai for so long had an effect on them, finally after 3 years after the lower event Ena found Mizuki 😢

One thing that really struck me about Mizuki’s card was that she looks so much more like womanly than any other card. This is worded weird but let me explain this card feels like this is who Mizuki is on a deep level this is what her soul looks like fully embracing who she is and maturing through hardships. Like how Meiko is and “womanly” doesn’t seem like the right word I’d rather use the Japanese word “Josei” which just feel like calling someone fem, refined, and elegant. I hope this makes sense 😓

Mizuki and (Their/he/her?) trauma from their past friends and being betrayed and called weird has a connection with cherry blossoms if we look back to Secret Distance where their feelings started getting worse and wanting to be friends with Niigo but not knowing if it'll truly happen where they can tell the Secret and not be hurt, so after three years I'm really hoping the presence of a lot of cherry blossoms and cherry blossom trees in the card mean something to Mizuki's mental state, but I'm pretty excited and scared

I think it’s still safe to say that their/her should be used for Mizuki. He/him would be insensitive and clearly not what Mizuki identifies with, otherwise they would not have reacted the way they did and disappeared.
