Is it okay to be white? It’s a crazy question to ask, but it’s apparent that anti-white hate has been rising in the United States.
My good friend ‪@jamesklug‬ interviews people on the streets to ask their opinion, and this is my reaction and commentary to it all.

It’s ok to be whíte, isn’t saying it’s better to be or best to be or preferred… it is just saying it’s ok. When anyone tries to say that’s racíst and you can’t say that, what they are really doing is trying to frame arguments in order to control debates. They can do that with anything, that doesn’t mean people have to accept their framing and attempts at controlling debate. In fact I’d say it’s important not to, because it’s simply giving them control in every single debate and that isn’t ok.

I am white. As I look at it. In human history, it was often the white people who colonized other countries. In Africa, in Australia, on Turtle Island, the whole American continent. When the whites had contact with the people on the American continent, something happened. The whites destroyed the belief and belief system of the indigenous people. And installed the so-called white supremacy. They put up a Christian church all over the American Indian reservations. They are opressors. They should give the land back to the amercan Indian people. But it is very difficult to restore some kind of justice here. But I am white and I don't feel the color makes me more or less than any other people's colours. Nevertheless, I was honestly shocked when I discovered what the white races did to the people in America. I don't want to belong to such a culture.

My boyfriend is “white” (Polish). His grandpa was in a concentration camp in the holocaust. My grandpas new wife is German, her grandma was taken from her family during the holocaust because she wasn’t blue eye blonde hair. I know a lot of people whos families went through great tragedies not very long ago who aren’t black, yet none of them walk around with the audacity to control other people and make them feel bad. If it didn’t happen to you specifically then shut up. I’m so sick of this ‘my great great grandpa went through this so you need to pay for it’. I wasn’t there BYE.

But that doesn’t effect me rn( besides easily burning in the sun) from where my ancestors would have started I am by far way more privileged than they were. I couldn’t imagine hating other races for something that happened to my 4 times great grandparents from 4-5 generations ago. @levii6126

@@pinkitydrink exactly! I noticed recently that SOME not all, dark skin people, tell mix people that their ancestry of slavery no longer matters because they got “white washed”. Basically saying they don’t get to be black anymore because they’re light skin. And I’m like ummmm if we’re gonna pull the victim card over slavery that didn’t happen to us, then it shouldn’t matter who made babies with who. That still happened to their ancestors in their family. So either we all stop using ancestors as an excuse, or everyone should beable to talk about the enslaving of their ancestors, without getting treated like theirs doesn’t matter just because theyre white. We all have a family history. I wish we can just talk about this normally instead of making it competition or scoring brownie points. In reality most races got their fair share of being killed or enslaved. If we keep doing this, it won’t be long before another races lashes out on another to the fullest extent.

She would CONSTANTLY tell me how much she hated that her daughter was dating a white person, and whenever I'd eat over she'd remark I had no culture or tastebuds because white. It fucking sucked, I dated her for 2 whole years and had to put up with that. She also would remind me if I "broke her daughter's heart" she'd have her family members come to where I live and get violent with me and my family... then I was cheated on lol. Guess it didn't matter when my heart broke. They actually accepted that guy into the family and gave him gifts like sneakers... because he was black. I wish I was fucking lying.

There's so much casual racism in black culture, especially towards whites or even those who are non-black and I honestly think blacks neeed to stop being victims. I, as a black individual, believe that the only way forward for black people is to stop blaming whites for our losses and take some accountability. I swear to God it makes me sick to my stomach because our ancestors didnt work hard in slavery for us to cry about how we need reperations for something we didnt even suffer for, get over yourselves. The first step to change is to recognise a problem, and the problem in our community is a lack of responsibility (pinning blame on others).

Oh, but black people still reap the repercussions of slavery. Or, you don't believe that? Do you live in the U.S.? Black people have been killed for jogging, walking, bird seeing, hiking, breathing, minding their business, etc. Where does accountability factor in there? Our ancestors "didn't work hard in slavery". They were beaten mercilessly and the ones that survived, survived at all costs. It's a very broken, and traumatic past black people have in the U.S. It isn't shared by many because darker skin in any culture is seen as being less than. America has not made amends that black bodies have contributed to its wealth, along with other immigrants and people of color. Our cultures has internal conflict, but when that conflict is also a diabolical, external one it's even worse. The first step isn't for us as black people to recognize the problem. We know the problem, and it's not only a lack of responsibility on black people's part. It's not "pinning the blame on others" as you say because that's too rudimentary.
@chance_y1356

@@too2great8 Black people definitely suffer the repercussions of slavery, however reperations aren't a sustainable way to pay us for the endless years of slavery, its a mockery. That being said, the opportunity for black people is so much better nowadays and there genuinely isn't a reason to complain on average, those examples you gave of injustice are so rare nowadays, however when they do happen people tend to sensationalise the number of black people damaged by racial prejudice so it doesnt stand as a reason for why black people are still suffering in America. We are at an age where we are so aware of the division in this community caused by racial oppression but yet many choose to represent being black in a bad way, a lot of toxicity is highlighted and praised like using racism as rebuttal 24/7 (it's more common than you think) when racism wasn't even present.

As a Mexican, when I use to go to school I was experiencing more racism from black people then white people. I would make fun of and discriminated for speaking Spanish but never once I had told them they could not speak their native language. I had a class in particular that this one girl kept targeting me because I would speak Spanish or find out I was Mexican. The whole class would be on board with her. I never had once anyone stood up for me but a white teacher. I would have to be my own voice just to prove I’m no less then. I know better that one individual doesn’t explain a whole group. To this day, I still remember it and honestly it just explained her as a individual. I wish that if people felt the same way, they should not spread it amongst others. I never want to experience that and nor do I want the people around me to experience that either. I just hope some day we could all hold hands again and say it’s okay to be who we are, it makes us no less then.

It is interesting. As a native American, who grew up in a small isolated community it took me sometime to get use to non-natives bc the way they behaved was so different. They're loud presence was pretty intimidating and made them look so outgoing and full of life. And bc my people weren't represented in the media, I always felt judged by them 🫠 I thought I was lame bc I didn't understand their humor, ways of viewing the world, the political correctness, or the (possible) lack of awareness that their existence must feel like the whole US is their "reservation" so everywhere they go their behavior is seen as normal. I'm not like that anymore 🙃 they're just people and I overthought it bc younger me just wanted to feel apart of their world which I eventually realized was me making it a "us", "them" thing

As a kid of two mono-cultural ethnic enclave raised parents, "white" means nothing. Give me your heritage and then let's talk. Most whites don't really know theirs, so we have this wild notion that there is "default" and "non-white." It really is ahistoric to how every human has existed throughout all time. Also, being white in the south vs the west coast vs the east coast vs the midwest in America is going to mean very, very different things even if you keep social class identical. Great video, as always! Oh and for nerds, White Trash: The 400-year Untold History of Class in America is a super fascinating book, by Nancy Isenbreg. Highly recommend. Or Shelby Steele's: White Guilt How Blacks and Whites Together Destroyed the Promise of the Civil Rights Era or The Great Demographic Illusion Majority, Minority, and the Expanding American Mainstream by Alba, Richard D.

I'm white and from Belgium (with a past history that is touching colonisation obviously) I'm a little concerned when I see some people thinks like this woman, even some white folks. That's not okay, like racism isn't okay that's crazy. Seeing in the comment some people judge on how people act, answer and react and I totally lineup with the fact that your actions, how you treat, how you care (or not) about other people is the main focus. Treat people how you would want to be treated and regardless of how people are treat them with respect cause you only get what you spread in the end it's cliché but it has some truth in it.

I remember reading a quote from a Holocaust survivor. He said that no one has control over what race, religion, or ethnicity they are born into. What they do have control over is the content of their character. I have lived by that quote ever since. What defines a human being is who they are on the inside, not the outside. There are plenty of black people who are amazing people who do great things, and there are plenty of black people who do evil and terrible things. The same thing can be said for White people, Asian people, Hispanics, etc.

I’m so glad I found you, Amir! And now you’ve introduced me to another creator that, like you, is doing so much good in this crazy world. You all should definitely do some collabs. Hopefully soon! I really want to thank you for all you’re doing to try to snap people back to reality. It’s so hard not to feel discouraged with all the recent changes and shifts in policies, language, culture etc brought about by these maniacs. I’m a very logic-driven person and like you continue to point out, none of their positions can be justified by anything resembling logic, science, reality or anything that can be considered factual. And the way you’re presenting this problem and breaking it down is amazing. It’s so clear and concise and sensible. Hopefully it will help wake people up from this nonsensical, destructive, divisive delirium they’ve been wallowing in recently. And for me personally, it’s so helpful to see others that share my opinions and beliefs on social media. It’s not easy to find when you don’t fit into any of the typical boxes like Liberal, Democrat, Conservative, Christian, Atheist, etc. Like you I feel we’re overcomplicating things which is causing mass confusion. It seems like people are so desperate to understand, to belong, etc they’re resorting to joining these extremist groups and swallowing their ideologies without even thinking, let alone questioning any of it. If I had to label myself as something it would probably be as a Progressive but I don’t agree with everything associated with that, especially anything related to “wokeness.” So I often feel like I’m part of a dying group of people that fall somewhere in the middle politically for the most part, don’t ascribe to a particular religion (my lifelong belief has been that if everyone just followed the Golden Rule we wouldn’t need any other instructions on how to live) and values some traditions and foundations while being open minded enough to consider change if it’s logical and does more good than harm. While there are a few other creators I support and mostly agree with, your viewpoint is the first one I’ve felt this closely aligned with in every area I’ve heard you speak on. Which is even more amazing considering on the surface we have little in common as I’m a white, heterosexual woman old enough to be your mother. So thanks for giving me some much needed reassurance I’m not the only one of my kind and for restoring my hope that we still have a chance at turning things around before our country and our world become unrecognizable hellscapes of misery and disorder. Keep the inspiring, entertaining, important content coming❣️

Impoverished rural blacks have more in common with impoverished rural whites than with urban or middle class blacks. Poverty, location, culture, environment etc has a *huge* impact on someone's life. I've worked in some horrible, low-paying, dirty jobs, and all the different people from different ethnic backgrounds had everything in common on account of working at a low-paying, dirty job. Classic Jesse Jackson-style politics was on board with this. For a movement that's subtly Marxist, it sure can lack any class consciousness or a sense of unity with the fellow laborer.

Amen, AMEN!! 👏👏👏👏 SPEAK AMARI!!! Don't stop, keep it coming.✊ The rational minds of this country hear you, and we are with you. United we stand, Divided we fall. "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." Don't fall for shit you can't even see, or even know. Don't allow those you know in your life, that are filled with hatred, take away your goodness. Doors will close, opportunities will be lost, solitude will be inevitable, despair is where you will find yourself. I Have been discriminated against for being white, a woman, and bisexual, multiple times in fact. However, even still, I NEVER let those miserable, sorry- ass, pathetic, and hateful people take my goodness. I have actually thrived in this life.. In fact, I fed off of them and used their hate to climb. One thing I have taught others that needed a hand up, was an expression that came to me in these moments of fire long ago, which is... "Underestimate me, don't bet on me, I'm counting on it. It is then when you've let your guard down, and you think you've won, that you will not see me coming. It will be then where I've only just begun."

I am a Christian woman who is not perfect, & I sin everyday... this young lady (who I consider to be a bonus daughter)... she does not understand my side of this subject. It isn't that she is a lesbian that I don't approve of... its the behavior... its that she is like most who think that if I don't vote for "her rights", that I am against her. That couldn't be more further from the truth. Bad behavior is everywhere. For me, participating in something that reflects back on you as bad... it shows other people your character... that character wouod be visible whether you are straight or gay. I love her to pieces... but like my 2 own adult children, they also do things I do not approve of. It isn't about being singled out "because...". It's about behavior & how you react to others. If she ever does confront me, I am going to point her in your direction to explain where I am coming from, because you say it so well. Keep up the positivity & I feel blessed to have found your channel & you! Duces♡

He was being interviewed on some mainstream media station by an African American news caster who tried to go in on a CRT angle of Freeman's career and life. Freeman completely smacked that down and the interviewer was flabbergasted and awed. He ended up asking Freeman how we stop racism and Freeman's answer was 'stop talking about it'. The argument that Freeman made was essentially the more we talk about it, the more power it has over us.

One skin colour is being judged by what some people in the past with tje same skin tone did... yet we ignore what ALL other colours have done in the past AND are doing now. It's insanity. I'm white and I'm neither proud nor ashamed. I didn't choose this. I didn't work for it. It just is. It's neutral. Same with my sexuality. Nothing to be proud of or ashamed by. It just is. To be fair, apart from those two women and that old white man, other interviewees are pretty sensible in their response.

I truly wonder what that first lady would have said if the interviewer said "Agreed. I don't want mixed grandkids either." 👀

I will never forget an anti-interracial meme that came across my Twitter feed one day. It was a picture of an interracial couple. A black woman being held bridal style by a white man. The meme said, "When you forget who YOU are" and then it showed a picture of a black woman being held bridal style by a KKK member and said, "You forget who THEY are." That such a meme was created and circulated around really shows how bad things have gotten.

Who raised that woman?? To hate your own grandchild for the Color of their skin? Wow that’s some of the most pure racism I’ve ever heard / I’m surprised she’s not out there lynching whites and Asian’s since she hates us all so much - if he had asked if she liked natives or Hispanic’s guaranteed she’d hate them too - I feel sad for her. To walk around bathed in so much hate for everyone around her she sees - she needs God so much - I pray she seeks him before it’s too late

It's so sad to see the state of this country. I wish we would move out of race/identity politics, but that's what keeps the current politicians in power, so it most likely will never go away.
