Absolutely.... most people don't understand hyperinflation. Partly perhaps, because they've always assumed that currency has "intrinsic value", but in realty its just a belief system. After reading your economic collapse book, and watching youtubers from Venezuela, Romania and Lebanon .. that loss of currency value has played out in very similar ways....especially regarding the banks ! After learning from yourself and the others.. I'm starting to see tell-tale signs in the UK. One of them lately has been how small shops have started diversifying into selling things completely unrelated to their main business,.... a takeaway fish and chip shop now has half the area with shelves of groceries...a beauty parlour selling also music CDs...even a gymn has turned half the area into a coffee shop..... crazy ! Yeah....any videos on living with and preparing for hyperinflation would be greatly appreciated....👍👍

Im currently halfway through, but seems like she doesn't fully grasp the difference between "hard economic times" and "economic collapse". Even in the Argentinian collapse there was still a functioning global system. We could very well be entering a period where the entire western financial and banking system collapses. "budgeting" isn't going to cut it. Only thing that matters is do you have access to REAL wealth/resources (what Chris Martenson calls first order wealth). Food, water, power, commodities, etc. and ways to protect them.

Excellent points, I often say similar things to friends who have a couple of grand spare cash and start looking into investing in precious metals and bitcoin but have at best maybe 2 weeks food.

Survival Lily looking at this ongoing worldwide economic crisis through the lens of a theoretical financial planner and ignoring real facts of what people actually did to survive economic crisis. Also look at China economic crisis right now cause their banks randomly suspend accounts, accept deposits but block withdrawals, overwatch how much you can withdraw, turn off their atms, do not allow people to close their accounts, or compeltely shutdown their physical banks which other banks in other countries are doing similar behaviors now. So people should not expect bankers and govts to act honorable during bad economic situations and all financial plans fail or will need to be adjusted a lot because there are always unknown things that will disrupt your plans.

The shortcomings of our education system is the root of many of our problems. But most people don't care to learn. So, if you live in the US (or maybe in the EU) what would be a good second currency to have a stack of? You talk about how the USD still had power after the ARS dropped, so what if it is the dollar that drops?

If the dolar drops theres a good chance that some other currency is doing better. There tends to be a balance to these things. A global financial collapse? I believe it would affect the weaker currencies more but in any case theres gold, silver, even bitcoin being popular in places like Venezuela and many extremly poor african countiries.

I was thinking about that with the car, like you if the $20,000 in your account is gunna be worth $10,000 in a few months, if you can even access it...its a no brainer.. Also I would say buy a small to medium pannel van if you could, that way you can work 101 side hussles..

I seen Survival Lilly in the past but she is a lot better with dealing with the woods than going out of that lane, have she not read stuff like yours and Selco's on how bad these events are? It is Mad Max that is the nearest I seen in movies to describe the situations presented especially in Selco's case.

WTF did she just say ??? She switched to variable interest ??? OMG. NEVER do that ! Always stick with a fixed rate ! Thanks for your video Hernandez. I've learned a lot from you over the years. (and I'm mid-60's in age) Also thanks for confirming my guess or question-whatever, on purchasing items before the collapse. I'd think it would be best to max out the credit cards on items that hold value. Since all my paychecks go direct deposit, I'll be left with what I have of value on hand. That would include "junk" I find with my metal detector.

Look what the value of cars did from 2019 until 2020. Same with homes, building supplies. Buy low, sell high is a basic rule of making money. Her topic is as you say, more like advice for "normal times". The chart she drew is what all high schoolers learn before graduating. I unsubscribed to her channel a long time ago for a reason. lol
