there’s a fan theory that her next album after 1989 was going to be a rock album, especially because she had bleached her hair platinum, performed songs like the one you reacted to as rock instead of pop(testing the waters), and she even hinted at it in another music video. many ppl think it was scrapped though due to her being cancelled in 2016 after the kanye drama. all the songs she wrote during that era never saw the light of day because she dropped reputation for her comeback album.

Yea this is 🔥 I like her 1989 tour performance of Out of the Woods and Wildest Dreams/Enchanted. She does some great live acoustic of blank space and piano version of Out of the Woods at the Grammy Museum as well as at the Grammy’s. I love her performance of Lover on SNL (she’s performed it live countless times but that’s my fave). But the best is acoustic Cornelia St live in Paris and Death by a Thousand Cuts live in Paris.

Taylor doesn't mime, when she has an instrument on stage she always plays for real. That being said, she isn't Jimi Hendrix and everyone knows her first job is to sing, and playing an instrument is just a bonus on top. The consensus among Swifties is that she's playing the rhythm for real, but it's recessed in the mix behind the real rhythm guitarist who's doubling her. This way if she flubs or something goes wrong with her transmitter, the rhythm can continue without her and won't drop off completely. In essence she's basically backing up her own guitarist.

Agree. She always had 4 or 5 guitarists with her on tour; they are always there when she stops to sing. But, she never has the guitar unless she _is_ playing. She doesn't use her instruments as just props.

Just another example of how incredibly versatile she is as a performer! I agree that this could be the best performance of this song. Would you consider reacting "The Man Himself" by Gang of Youths? They just released their new album "angel in realtime." and the entire thing is PHENOMENAL! Easily a contender for Album of the Year even though they are wildly underrated here in the US.
