Reacting To The Attack On Titan Final Opening And Ending By Linked Horizon - NO SPOILERS

The second song is actually written in three parts and is a kind of medley. The first part is taken from 13 no Fuyu (13 Winters) with Mikasa's voice actress doing the singing. The second part is taken from Akatsuki no Requiem which was the ending theme from Season 3, Part 1. Finally, the third part is new and vocalizes one of the leitmotifs from the season 1 opening theme. As for the first song, I felt the same way at first, but then it grew on me the more I listened to it and picked out the parts from previous AoT songs that they've incorporated into it (as is their trademark). I can't get it out of my head now. 😝

Now I understand why the second song felt so familiar! I definitely recognized Akatsuki No Requiem, but for some reason I had never listened to 13 no Fuyu! Thank you! 😅❤️

@@CamillaFioretti Well, 13 no Fuyu was never used on the show, but it was included on the same album as the Season 3 Part 2 opening theme, so that's why. But all of the AoT related Linked Horizon songs are great and if you listen to them all together, not only can you pick out the different leitmotifs shared between them, but they actually connect together to tell Eren's story too. I think that's really cool. 🙂

From what I've heard, the specials are being split into TV episode format to finish out the final season, hence why Saigo no Kyojin was made to be the opening theme and Itterasshai was made to be the ending theme.

The opening just feels different because the story is too far different from when it started. Where the first one was a badass call to fight against a siege of monsters, this one is the protagonist challenging his former comrades to stop his genocidal rampage. The series is too different that Linked Horizon feels out of place now

@@Daigon95 Maybe you got misled instead? ;) The final, ending song for the anime is "To You in 2,000... or 20,000 years" that starts in the epilogue part of the special last "episode" just before the credits and plays until the very end. "The Last Titan" nor "See You Later" are included in the special, but were made separate due to the anime studio's decision (I don't mind that, as we got 2 songs and videos that go along them).
