I really loved Paradise Problem (definitely had spice) and This Summer Will be Different. I’m glad they both made the list. Also, Lynn Painter’s YA is superb! Probably not up your alley but I love them.

I love Emily Henry. I've read all of her (adult) books. She is a gem. You know I love to support an Ohio author! I Beach Read and Funny Story are probably my 2 favorites of hers but they are all 4.5-5 star reads. I really enjoyed Bride; it is very different than her other books! Just for the Summer was great too. 5 stars for me. Paradise Problem was fun too, secret marriage of convenience! Not in Love is much more of an erotic romance than a rom com like her other books.

Man traditionally published books are polished to heavens! And it's not necessarily a good thing! I personally declined a hybrid publishing offer on my first book just this year because they would suck all the life out of it. Honestly, I believe any author on their own is better an editor for their books on line and developmental level. I think authors have intuition that gets polished away in traditional publishing. Sometimes more opinions are not better, but a watering down of something otherwise stellar. Just my take. I really love the original angsty and emotional romance! Keep it raw!

Endless Palace is very romantic, it's whole thing is a romance through time. But I'm surprised it made it. It's very Fantasy/niche? Absolutely loved it personally, but it's definitely not gonna hit well on a broad scope I think 😅

A book is a best seller. Write as many more books as fast as you can to capitalize on this, no matter quality or writing. 😡
