At 33:00 when you are flabbergasted what MK chose, it's not that he picked an island because there's none. He is just not sure whether it's north or south so he is "hedging" in the middle of italy, but because of the shape of Italy (especially factoring in Piemonte and Sardinia) it's not on land. You don't have to choose land, just be closer or lose as little points as possible. Same thing happens at 45:00 Same can be seen sometimes when people pick in the Baltic Sea when they try to hedge the Nordics, Baltics and Poland, if you have no infrastructure to go with.

Only Northern Europe looks like Cananda and only sometimes. Canada looks a lot more like the US than Europe on average tbh. Just a colder US. Europe has the old world, regal appearance to a lot of their buildings, but Canada and US have this more modern, messy look (hard to explain). Also, the reason Canada doesn't appear as much is cuz there isn't that much streetview coverage in Canada, as in most of it is covered but there aren't actually that many roads compared to the country's size. It's pretty empty overall tbh.
