My reaction to the Habs selecting Juraj Slafkovsky first overall. I was shocked and speechless at first, but I respect the pick more and more every day. I also wish I recorded my reaction to the Kirby Dach trade!

A lot of fans in Montreal know and understand hockey better than some NHL scouts. You can access shift by shift game play for most top 10 prospects. So we knew Wright was the better player but Slaf has an extremely high ceiling but can also result in only being a 40 point player if he doesn’t improve his game. Development will be very important for Slafkovsky whereas Wright just needs to play with more intensity.

Slafkovsky was a way better pick just think him on a line with caufield and suzuki he's the goal scoring piece they needed. The kirby dach trade made up for not taking shane wright to say the least. Happy to see what montreal might be

@@UCeqPYMelzGDpOLEaFMs hear about Wright for like 3 years here in north america, he was disgustingly good during his ohl rookie season, let along his u18 performance as a 16 years old last year. We were hype for him more than slafkovsky who is a riser. Still i'm pump to have him but you need to understand the context. Both of them will propably have amazing careers. That being said, he's an amazing player with crazy upside and i'm hype to get him!

It's just business my dudes! I also thought that the Habs were going to go with SW but only because it was the logical choice (for the past couple years it was said that he would be 1st in 2022). What didn't play in his favor was the fact that his game was different as soon as we learned that MTL had a very good chance of picking 1st. It's like He either didn't want to play for MTL being from ONT ...OR he felt like he didn't have to prove anything anymore. Probably the latter.

Slav was a bad pick. He's too big and doesn't play physically. Big guys get hit harder because it takes more energy to move them. Small guys go flying... Big guys dont... It gets absorbed. He's going to suffer so many injuries he'll never play regularly. 1st rounder. 👏

@@canada4life551 Absolutely- Do not under estimate the magnitude of the world stage - at 17 yrs of age and the pressure - he dominated those men. wright will go back to kingston next season, and will be top 10 amongst kids in points again.. be positive, it may change your life..
