Someone probably already said this, but isn’t it weird that Lauren is FU RI OUS with Jen, totally cancelled here. But Brody is totally not to blame? Even when he rightfully said I’m sorry, she said why, it’s not your fault.. i mean, i understand there’s such a thing as girl code, but shouldn’t it be seen as equally shady of Brody that he hooked up with one of the best friend of a girl he’s (been) kind of involved with? I think it makes sense. Lauren likes Brody and it's possibly mutual but they haven't committed to anything. Also she didn't seem to be that open to taking things further in previous scenes when he was clearly trying to. Should he have realised she'd be upset? Maybe, but it's more on Jen to protect Lauren's feelings as her friend.

to be honest I agree with Lauren about the whole Jen thing. Brody is also to blame like he knew that was her best friend and he still kissed her. Like it takes two to tango. Brody was flirting with her and playing into it during her birthday. I think Lauren's anger with Jen Bunny is from a long history of Jen pursuing guys behind her friends backs and this particular situation with Brody was just so blatant and captured on camera that Lauren was pissed off -not just about Brody (which the Jen/Brody hook up was probably just annoying) but the full scope of Jen's history with Lauren and their friend group and the fact that she would disrespect Lauren on her show, when Lauren was the only reason she was getting filmed and entree into the scene, it was just a case of don't bite the hand that feeds you and Lauren making the move to cut off shady ppl. This is the time period where the Hills fame is really starting to take off and keeping someone in your circle who has already proven themselves untrustworthy would not be a smart move.

Ugh I am just not her supporter in any way lol she has always just been extremely controlling to me after her relationship with Jason and it's so unwarranted most of the time. The whole Brody thing was so stupid when she says now that they were never anything more than just friends. If that was the case then there shouldn't have been any problem and I hate 'friends' who hate your relationship and either try to sabotage or exclude you because of it. That's not a real friend to me. If someone is in a relationship you don't approve of you don't push them away if you actually care about them, you keep being supportive and hope for the best.

I'd hate to be judged for how I handled everything in my 21 year old life. I think it was also before The Hills and during Laguna Beach, Jen apparently reported a whole bunch of inside information to news outlets. Lauren initially thought it was Lo, which was why she didn’t appear much in the later parts of LB and earlier The Hills seasons.

I still think Lauren was told she had to “forgive” Heidi and Brody for the Jen and Brody situation by the producers because they still wanted to tell a “friendship” story with them and that’s why Lauren appears to be overreacting to small things of Heidi spending time with Spencer. She was still furious about Heidi trying to set up Jen and Brody and was made to pretend she was over it for the sake of the storyline. It’s crystal clear that Lauren gave up on their friendship before she was accusing Heidi of abandoning her for Spencer. Lauren is level headed most of the time so that would explain her blatant over reacting to certain situations.

I think the difference between Jen and Brody is that Lauren knew and trusted Jen for so long. For Jen to do what she did (especially when she knew it was wrong... she kept asking for reassurances that night from Heidi and Spencer who egged Jen on), it was a betrayal of trust. Lauren was into Brody, but it wasn't that serious so he didn't really owe her anything. Like he could have hooked up with any other girl, and he would still be in relatively the same position; Lauren and Brody could still have a chance. But from Lauren's perspective, how do you try and make it work with someone (Brody) who hooked up with your best friend?

I feel like the reason Lauren constantly says it isn’t Brodys fault or shouldn’t be awkward is because at the end of the day she just met Brody. Guys will be guys and that’s not like he really owed her much at that point. However, Jen was her best friend from even a kid and something stupid like that is not what a best friend does. Agree! Also she liked Brody but they weren’t in a relationship. He’s not going to know much about Jens friendship with Lauren. They were so young too. Had he done that now in his thirties he would know better not to go near Jen after kissing Lauren. I think Lauren just wanted a fling but she didn’t want her friend in the mix.

So Jen Bunney actually comes back on season 3 episode 10. Lauren and her make amends and she comes to her Halloween party. Fun fact that party is where we meet Cory Audrinas ex. I don't think Jen and Lauren are friends anymore but yes Lauren does forgive her eventually

I honestly kind of get why she would be more mad at Jen than Heidi and Brody. Brody was a guy she just met, so like it was weird of him to hook up with her friend, but there isn't as much baggage as there is when you're betrayed by someone you've been friends with since you were literal children. And she SHOULD be equally mad at Heidi but Heidi is lying to her face about not being involved, so to Lauren at this time I see how she could feel like it was all Jen. She hadn't watched the show yet at this point to know it was Heidi's fault too, and Heidi certainly wasn't owning it.

I think in the beginning Lauren actually like brody i think their thing was real in the beginning but then producers forced it still after the jen bunny thing n thats when it started becoming fake . Jen was wrong and she knows it. This episode solidified how fake Heidi was though. She could have owned up to her part in pushing Jen and Brody together but she didn’t. Lauren only having smoke for Jen and none for Brody is bullshit, but it’s also not surprising for young women to take that stance. I think it’s because you almost expect boys to do you dirty, it‘s different to be hurt by your friend. But I don’t like how she doesn’t hold him accountable at all.
