I was a die hard The Hills fan back when it was on, I was in my late 20s, no kids. Heidi's scene with her mom did not affect me. Now watching as a 42 year old mom of 3 girls, and seeing Whitney's reaction as Heidi's mom is twirling Heidi's hair, looking at her daughter's face. A face that does not look like the one she'd seen a million times before broke my heart. I cannot imagine what her mom was going through. To see her beautiful and once confident baby girl do that to herself. Wow.

This is exactly why LC was bothered by Heidi's behavior, she saw what was happening before anyone else did, how her friend was spiraling down the toxic mess of LA. Everyone was so hard on LC for it back then, when she was actually the only one who had a spine and said what needed to be said in regard to Heidi.

For anyone curious, Heidi talks a lot about her plastic surgery on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She got it all for free and does regret some of it. She was looking for a boob job and was talked into a lot more, and didn’t have any fat to pull for the “re-shaping” they did so that was one of the many reasons it was so dangerous and hard for her to recover. I'm an emerg nurse, and just the other day someone came in post op from cosmetic surgery. Extremely hypotensive with significant blood loss. They ended up going to ICU. I second this! At least wait until Spencer’s freak out before you stop watching
To be honest I applaud Heidi for that conversation with her mother. I feel bad that she felt she needed to have it, and she was stunning before but She was completely honest about all the work she has had done. There are so many videos on KZbin by plastic surgeons suggesting what they think certain celebrities have had done. Yet they all completely deny having anything done. No Botox, no fillers, lifts, no implants all natural when it’s clear things have changed Eg nose shape. Which sets the unrealistic body ideals for women especially young girls. At least they can look at Heidi and know if They have the money it’s somewhat attainable for them.

omg, you guys have watched 91 episodes with us. Are you really going to stop when there are 9 more to go? 37,000 people are watching with you. You can do it! I think if you change your attitude going into each episode and stop looking for "unbearable scenes," you'll enjoy them a lot more. And I know that the Heidi stuff is hard to watch but it's the most real thing we've seen on this show in a long time. We're so close! Let's finish!

I am so glad to be joining your community of supporters! I just found this two weeks ago and have binged The City and now almost all of The Hills. I love y'all so much and you're so adorable together. Y'all make watching this so entertaining and I love the BTS info. Keep up the great job you two ❤. I do wish Heidi had seen a Dr that insisted on her talking to a counselor before committing to all that she had done. You could tell she was just trying to erase herself and that's heartbreaking. I think plastic surgery can be a wonderful thing if it's done responsibly and for the right reasons.

I watched the call her daddy episode with Heidi and she talked to her mom before she went there and told her not to say anything negative or anything and the producers told her mom to say how she really felt and the at Heidi needed to hear how she really felt. There was a lot going on but Heidi was actually very upset and hurt by all of this

Really appreciate y’all reacting to this last season in particular. I remember rewatching it a few years ago and remembering how sad and intense it all was. I think it’s good to get another viewpoint and shed light on these issues and what the remaining cast went through.

Please finish season six and book end the series - the reactions and content you produce is still worth it and will be more satisfying than leaving the least few episodes hanging in the balance. We know this season is bad but feel confidently saying we will still be here with you 🙏

A good example is how sad and bad this episode was but the conversation that had generated in this community is proactive and important 💛

The part where it cuts to Kristen drinking with Stacey is obviously scenes from their Vegas trip. Production dropped the ball on that.

I think absolutely finish the series if you can bear it- I think this last season is actually pretty entertaining with Spencer's craziness! BUT if you do end up moving on to kahu a beach early PLEASE AT LEAST watch the series finale on its own. Would love to hear thoughts on the ending scene and I hear there's an alternate ending too!? Which would be so cool to see a reaction to along side the ending that aired

Wow I feel for Heidi so much. That whole family honestly - watching your daughter get absolutely destroyed (not just physically - I'm not trying to make a dig at her plastic surgery) by LA culture would be devastating. Not to mention the position Heidi was in then? My heart goes out to every 20 something girl that feels what she was feeling. I was not expecting the hills, that let's be honest has been nothing but painfully boring repeat storylines to produce something so tragic + exploitative. Feelin real weird about it

Omg I had never seen this episode of Heidi's procedures I always thought she was so beautiful when the first season started and during before she got all this work done. Okay and seriously, what does she put in her hair that makes it look so silky she always has the best hair.
