I can't believe it: It's like a group of sociopaths got together to make a television show centered around exploiting someone for the sake of bullying them. You would think the television industry would have learned about the worst-case scenario when it comes to people who feel mislead. Case and point; The Murder of Scott Amedure. Long story short; The Jenny Craig Show brings a man (who had a long history of various mental illness) on their show with the premise that he was to meet a secret admirer. The show failed to disclose that the secret admirer was a man while they read all these descriptive fantasies to a guy, who was led to believe his admirer was a woman. When the whole thing is finally revealed, the Jenny Craig show continues to drag out all the sordid details for the rest of the show. The now-embarassed takes the scenario as a massive humiliation and literally KILLS the secret admirer several weeks later with a shotgun to the chest. You can't just play with people's lives like this. It's reckless and extremely dangerous. You can't possibly know how people will react to this sort of nation-wide embarrassment planned on a long-drawn schedule. People can get seriously hurt; it can ruin someone's life, it can be considered deeply traumatic, and it's just downright cruel to lead someone by the nosejust to dash them against the rocks for public amusement.
@Acoolakim0076 жыл бұрын

the producer and one of the judges was the man who produced the "hostel" movies. the girl who won was an actress, she was in one thing before and one thing after WB SS, it makes me a bit suspicious that everything is fake. like, there is just too much irony and horror flick cliches stuffed together. big tit girl with clothing straight out of a crappy "scary" movie, her voice is obviously, obviously, obviously off and too much.. the "all by myself" isn't tone deafness, it's someone purposefully freestyling notes. there are too many clever lines and ironic statements. honestly though if this were real that would be beyond fucked up but i would watch because of morbid curiosity
@summers75546 жыл бұрын
As a kid when I watched it I was never quite sure, but the whole thing reeked of a one-off ratings trap the producers *knew* they would never be able to recreate again, and made on a shoe-string budget just in case the charade fell through. It was short, low quality, aired once, then re-aired one more time, after which it disappeared forever (even though I remeber it being relatively popular during its airing.) Also on your point about her being an actor, given where they produced the show I'm not at all surprised that contestants aspiring in all areas of entertainment would show up.
@seantylerfermin49276 жыл бұрын
What's the name of the actress?
@rkeratiloe16 жыл бұрын
I never watched the show but I can confirm it's not weird or off that she was an actor, aspiring or not. In the UK where these type of reality shows spring from you see the same type of people audition. That kind of person that aspires to 'fame' will go for every role and any chance to avoid a normal/boring life. They're usually the ones with minimal talent but are in denial so more likely to believe the hype.

She has a pretty good, not extremely good, start if she can reach that high because most ppls number one complaint when singing is an inability to increase range.
@snickle19806 жыл бұрын
No. Some people will never be good singers. Some people will always be slightly off key. The problem is that people who mean well continue to support them with praise. Oftentimes, the support comes from other poor singers. Your singing and your channel is a prime example of this. You're a poor singer, and believe that all this girl needs is training and practice. Your attempts to stay on key succeed more often than the blonde on stage, but not often enough. Certainly not enough to encourage others. Sorry.

I'm not sure getting someone's hopes up about their dreams only to be crushed in front of thousands and thousands of people is really worth the payoff. A quick laugh for the people viewing and they go on with their life and that person has to deal with this forever.

Her voice honestly could have used some vocal lessons and she would have been decent. I’ve heard way, way worse. Never mind I saw the second vocal clip with My Heart Will Go On. 1. She shouldn’t sing out of her vocal range. 2. She is a little tone deaf. 3. It’s really not the worst.

the blonde girl wasn't THAT bad of a singer, but i think they chose her to win bc of her looks. she fits the whole stereotypical "pretty blonde girl who gets everything she wants" perfectly. this aired in the early 2000s, when there were so many movies where the antagonist was an arrogant blonde girl. idk, that's just the vibe i got

smurfinit48 honestly at first I thought it was just another stupid show like American idol but then I saw that it's to find the worst singer.. So yeah I understand now why you would watch it lol. It is kinda funny but it's also pretty terrible. Like I feel really bad for the girl getting put on the spot like that, and for all the good singers that got turned away and possibly gave up forever because of this. Hopefully they saw it on TV tho

I just started watching this channel, and I give you guys a big thumbs up for being NORMAL. So much strangeness online, too weird sometimes, its good you call it out. The girl who helps you out is really nice too, she does not even realize that she looks like an Eastern European supermodel. She has true beauty inside and out. Very rare today to see that.

No, I totally agree. It came out when I was quite young and I was really troubled by it. They intentionally picked people who weren't "intelligent enough" to figure it out. I kept watching just hoping someone would figure out it was a hoax so the station wouldn't make any more money off of it. They didn't. It's on KZbin if you want to check it out. I rewatched the "reveal" today and it was just as horrible as I remembered. They were all crushed... But all they could do was laugh....

Well if I remember correctly [ I watched the show as a kid on Much Music], they arranged the performances in such a way that the other performers were not aware of how bad their competitors were. I cant remember exactly how, but they made a point of explaining it in one of the episodes. It truly was some devious crap lol

Joe Millionaire was another one. They pretended the guy was rich, and he made like 19,000 a year as a construction worker. The girl he picked did one of those weight-loss food infomercials for a few years. They only found out he wasn't rich at the end...I wanna say...there was a prize they both got if she decided to be with him when she found out he wasn't really rich. (She supposedly didn't know that) and she said she still wanted him so the show gave them both a cash prize

this can ruin lives.. I met a terribly cringy elvis impersonator at karaoke one night and he actually had a card for birthdays and weddings and he sang and looked and danced nothing like elvis he just kicked the air and twitched everywhere same songs same leather jacket... he had a friend do these weird sound effects when he kicked. I saved the card luckily and years later i found it and googled him he made a low budget documentary and basically he won the gong show when he was a teen and it broke him... the gong show was not serious nor was it a talent show it was just weird and funny..but somehow he thought that meant he was truly talented and he is in his 40s/50s now with the same dream (and he was on jimmy kimmel cuz his parents had connections) they were saying he was trying to relive the moment again of the crowd cheering but it never happened again. Proof that a moment like this can make or break a person. Very sad.
