I feel like bts were testing the industry with dynamite. it was catchy and cute but the lyrics were random. it was done by Daniel Stewart who said that he had just written random phrases that were popular and put it into a song. bts chose it and didn't do much to change it and put it out. the fact that this was the song to get the grammy nomination shows that the grammys were waiting for bts to release a song like this. its fucking disgusting. and the audacity to put that ridiculous montage of saying how prestigious the recording academy was, and how they tried their best for diversity RIGHT BEFORE THEIR PERFORMANCE was just so shady. like bts said that dynamite was to bring joy to those who heard it, and they made it so that "a lot" of people would hear it. I admire the boys so much because it takes a lot of courage to post that video. Grammy did really do them wrong. Most people are saying ARMYs are mad because they did not win. All of their reactions made me really sad but something about Jin’s, Jimin’s, and Taehyung’s reactions hit different. Bts' reaction to the loss really says a lot about them as artists, people and their journey and attitude. They've never let anything stop them before and they're not gonna let that happen again. This isn't new to them. Namjoon said in an interview that they feel alienated in the music industry. You didn't catch it but in that video of them reacting to the results, you can hear him say "I told you". The press are ripping them apart and so are a lot of antis online. Yet they are as classy as ever. I don't know if you keep up with weverse but as sad as the grammy night was, it was really beautiful the way bts were comforting armys right away. Many of them posted on weverse thanking army and saying that they're thankful. Then they hosted the live right after. (Also namjoon posted a gym pic to distract us 😂) Their humility makes the loss feel even worse because it amplifies the fact that they deserved the win. They're definitely smiling more for army but i do think you see their genuine attitude here too. They're looking at it from the positive side while acknowledging their disappointment, and being thankful for the fans. They seem to have a very healthy way of accepting the loss. They're there for each other and they promise to work even harder (i wanna scream at them bc no they don't, the industry needs to be less shitty). I think this attitude plays a big role in why they're so successful. They just stay humble and work even harder. You missed it because you were talking then but they said it's 12:30 pm in Korea and they've been up the whole night because they started getting ready for the grammys at 2am. They also said that jimin just woke up and that's why he is so sleepy. I'm sure he is sad too but also he's just so tired for staying up for like 24h. The entire timeline on twitter was crying on grammy night. First because of the loss and then because bts is so amazing that their first instinct was to comfort the fans 😭

Wanna get more upset? Look in the background when Hobi is talking up close ...and you can see in the background for a few split seconds a cake with the Grammy on top of it. It seems they had already prepared to celebrate their win and made the corresponding cake. When I saw this I totally bawled my eyes out. It broke my heart. And by the way, Jimin had his face almost covered not only because he was so bummed but because he was EXTREMELY sleepy, he actually closed his eyes a few times during the Live....cute babies had been up since 5:30 or earlier in the morning and it was basically noon or some time around that when they made this Live. It saddens me that they keep saying 'they will work harder' these guys are so gracious, it was the Grammy's that let them down, the whole show was a shambles using Bts for views. These young men are so talented, so hard working, so professional - and they care so much! In my opinion, they have been ignored by the Grammys for years, they have had many Grammy-worthy songs and albums. I think Dynamite is a good bop and lots of fun at this time with the pandemic etc, but it’s not their best song (they killed the performance though). And no one can beat them in terms of performance, they are so multi-talented. It really hurts me that they think they have to work harder - music is their whole life and has been since they were children, basically - they were working 16 hour days as trainees when they were young teens, they pour their hearts and souls into their music. The western artists who were nominated but didn’t win either don’t really care, or they are angry because they feel entitled, while our boys are sad and feel that they aren’t yet good enough 💔💔💔 I only care because it meant so much to them. I just want them to be happy, they are so beautiful inside, with such kind hearts...I look forward to some new (not better!! They are already brilliant and don’t have to be better) music and performances and eventually some concerts - I would die a happy death if they included South Africa on their next tour (and I managed to get tickets, I believe they sell out in seconds) - I have multiple sclerosis and my dream is to see them perform. I completely understood because at that point I was exhausted myself it was a very very long night, I got like 3 hours sleep and had to working in the morning. I watched them live, and I never noticed that at 16:46 there’s a whole fudging Grammy cake in the corner Hobi was trying to show. I cried even more when I found out, I just want them to know that everything they’ve accomplished is worth more than a single Grammy. Also that in America, sometimes people just use others for promotional advertising, correction they would use BTS for additional views. As long as they know that they are worth more than a scrappy piece of metal that will rot away, ARMY will fight to protect them and make sure that they work hard for people who actually deserve. Sorry for my huge rant, since discovering BTS, they have made me happy in so many ways. And have been the topic of many new conversations. If y’all haters have enough hate, find something you truly love. BTS has such a huge Army because people feel like they are a part of this huge family. This fandom is a place where anyone can join, no matter your gender, age, race, sexuality, etc. It’s a place to truly feel accepted and loved for who you are. With them I feel that my struggles even for a moment all disappear. And I’m willing to fight for them and protect them in anyway just for that moment. Although I know this comment may not get any views or likes, I truly hope that as long as this reaches one person who can relate with me. Like being happy with just a performance and not an award, I’d be content you spent your damn time reading this whole ass essay prompt.

When they posted this, I cried watching this. They were being so strong and trying to not show too much disappointment. That’s what hurts the most. Because they want to win for us and we want them to win because they want it. It’s really shameful how the Grammys used them to hype up viewers but won’t give them the recognition they deserve.

The grammys literally have tens of tweets about bts before and after the ceremony. They used them to get people to watch the show. I was so shocked when they didn't win and I'm still sad about it. I'm not the most mad about the loss, though, there are snubs every year (I'm also still not fine with the fact that they were only nomimated for dynamite. MOTS:7 was the best selling album of the year with BE at #4 despite being just a few months old. When it comes to pure sales, MOTS7 was #1, BE was #2 and MOTS: The Journey (japanese album) was #8. So they literally had 3 of the 10 bestselling albums of the year (according to IFPI) and they didn't get a nom?) What makes me more angry is the way bts was treated. Despite knowing that bts wasn't gonna win, the grammys used them to sell their show. For the entire 3,5 hour main ceremony, they teased that bts will be "up next". 3 HOURS. They had them dressed up and on camera at the other side of the world in the middle of the night, knowing that they wouldn't win. Their category was pushed to the preshow and not televised despite being like the most anticipated category. Same with other POC categories btw. Now there are people dragging bts for "losing" even though artists always have more losses than wins. What does it tell you that bts' loss is getting more media coverage than any of the winners? Or that during the grammys, the army hashtag for bts was constantly trending higher than the grammys. Like a few articles have stated: while the grammys keep losing relevance, bts keep growing. So who really needs who? Btw the ratings for the show were the lowest ever in the history of the show lol armys didn't watch it legally to boycott it. Bts' vlive had like the same amount of views as the grammys even though it wasn't even close to being their most viewed live. I wouldn't give a shit about the grammys if the boys didn't want it :)

Breaks my heart when people just mistreat them and use their popularity for their own benefits. They didn't pour all the blood and sweat for this moment. They deserve so much more.

I may be too late to watched this, but i want to comment about the guys, seeing through their eyes i know they are all sad inside, they cried and you can see it to their face and eyes. 😭 More ARMY too feel the same as BTS 😥 These kids are the most humblest among Artists around the World. Suga is very street smart and has been around the block (i.e., used to get scammed on the music he produced/wrote when he was very poor, you prob know this) so he's seen how ppl can be and how the world works with all its politics and ugliness. So I think he somewhat saw it coming (or at least think there was a large chance the grammys would backstab them) since he was the first to start laughing it off and clapping. He's such a wise and smart person. (Suga actually said at one point in the past that he thinks they should/could do a solo performance in 2021 and win a grammy in 2022 or after. He was already aware of how xenophobic the scammys are and how protective they are of their anachronistic ways/their own turf. He knew they can outperform other artists a million-fold but tearing down this barrier will have to happen bit by bit if at all. Hoping at least Suga's predictions come true in 2022..) Jimin btw is just falling alseep during vlive b/c he is SOOOOO tired. It was 5:30 AM when the winner was announced (I watched it here from Korea too). They were up, all dressed up, watched the entire pre-grammy ceremony, did interviews after the announcement and watched the grammys, then did this vlive right after which was around 2:00 pm in Korea. How exhausted they must have been...but they put on this vlive immediately to comfort/appease ARMY. 😭

Damn, every time I watch their VLive after Grammy, even to this day about a month or so later, it still breaks my heart and makes me cry. Bangtan Sonyeondan deserved the Grammy but I love how positive they are, humble they are and how caring they are to ARMY. IMHHO, they truly deserved that Grammy. I’m not saying the other nominees didn’t work hard or didn’t deserve it, but EVERYONE knows how extremely hard BTS works to try to perfect each and every performance because they do not want to let themselves down but more importantly to them, they don’t want to let ARMY down. Everything they do pretty much is for ARMY because they know ARMY helped them get to where they are now. Next month (May) they are nominated for a Brit Awards (which I believe is equivalent to the Grammys) for Best International Group. They are up against Fontaines D.C., Foo Fighters, Haim, and Run The Jewels. I hope they win but make sure to watch if you can.

BTS is classy. They were disappointed, but stayed positive and were comforting US. Imagine that! But they saw we went all out for them and were ready to go to WAR on their behalf, lol. I just love them so much! What hurts is that they immediately said they just have to work harder next year, and I feel that it really has nothing to do with hard work. I'm not hating on the 2021 winners at all, but I say with much confidence that NONE of them worked harder than BTS for their win. I want a GRAMMY for them because THEY want it and deserve it, but I'm so angry! It's such BS! It feels like HS all over again. Disappointed by the GRAMMYs, but incredibly proud of BTS and happy to be ARMY always. As for the VLive, poor Jiminie kept falling asleep, he was so tired! Lol. They were awake for almost 24 hours and were all beat. I wish the long day and night had ended with the win for them. Next year, if the GRAMMYs stop their nonsense!

I'm hurting so much everytime I saw this. The boys really works hard for this and they deserve to win more than anybody else. GRAMMY'S for me are racist. They don't want Asian to win the Grammy.
