The pumpkin man was a villager who was turned into a witch. He put the pumpkin over his head so that the other villagers would not recognize him as a witch. And he saw what happened to the green villager and he wanted to help him. He was able to revive him because she could make a potion of healing cause he was a witch. Think about that.
