They didn’t announce the winners there. That’s why they said if they keep playing, they were going to deduct points

They did announce the winners. It was just cut from the video. That’s why Jackson State and North Carolina A&T went one more round after that. You would’ve had to be there in person to hear who the winners were. Also after they cranked on each other, the announcer literally said that the judges were gonna take 30 points from the next band that plays after A&T stopped.

The winners were not announced the day of the performance, the winners were announced at the celebration bowl the next day
