Well I used to play on arrows + scroll for weapons (not builds) and be good at the game lol (I killed EU pros like Vico or Tropex in ranked). I switched to zqsd (wasd) chapter 4 season 4 bcz I thought I ran into a skill ceiling with arrows so yeah. All I can say now is that zqsd is better for mechanics but playing on arrows is unmatchable for movements (bcz you can use your thumb and index fingers at any time while building, but also you can use your index middle and ring finger to move when youre not building so thats incredibly more optimized than zqsd and makes right hand peak so much easy to set up (but thats not optimized to build and stuff, that's why I needed to choose weapons with the scroll even tho I still had P for the shotgun and O for the pickage). So little finger to build, jump, crouch, sprint, pickaxe & shotgun, and middle finger to edit.

i use scroll wheel to switch weapons. if you set preferred slots... make it 1) AR 2) Shotgun 3) SMG/pistol. then you roll around on 2. then you can shoot and are 1 click up or down of the wheel to switch weapons and finish it off.

If you go into settings in fortnite it is also possible to get one button reset, I have that. So you don't need any macro or scrollwheel and it's completely legal because it's a setting that exists in the game

I use the Razer tartarus pro keypad. I use the D-Pad for wasd with my thumb and all 4 other fingers for everything else. But that isn't the weirdest, the weirdest is the fact that I use my mouse left and right click for jumping and crouching. So I use my index for shoot on the keypad and pinky for ads.

I love watching these cuz I have the most optimal binds lmao. E to edit wall and stairs side buttons shift for cone and v for floor which I hit with my thumb. Only thing that could be more optimal is if I used wasq but that’s about it

When i used to play fortnite, i would use my thumb for most of my binds. wall: b, floor: n, ramp: e (the exception), and cone: m. my edit was also v which i used my thumb to hit as well.

Keybinds really dont matter, it depends on the person and what theyre comfortable with. All my builds are on my mouse (mmo mouse), ive played with the same mouse since 2012 so im comfortable.
