Thinking about it, they shouldn't make 3pointers worth 2.5 since it's in the name "3pointer". But maybe they should move the line back to 25 feet to make threes harder, but still worth taking. I just want to see teams shot less threes and diversify the game with more dunks, middies, post penetration, post ups...etc. Find the balance. 20 to 25 three point attempts per game should be the stsndard. 30+ is too much and a 4 point line would ruin the game.

Hell no. The game is fine the way it is. Making the 3 point line further would force games to become more like 90s and early 2000s games. We don’t want to see 2 bigs going at it. Would much rather see the game today. Curry made the game better in every way

@@HM-ef1qj Well I disagree, I find the old school game to be much more entertaining. But what I suggested wouldn't make the game like the 90s or early 2000s. In the early 2000s they shot around 15 three pointers per game, I suggested that number to be bumped up to 20-25, because I see the merit in the shot. But I would like to see all positions starring from point guard to center and I want to see more physicality, more defense...etc. because that's what makes great scorers impressive, scoring despite great defense being played. Whilst I'm not necessarily a fan of the 2004-2014 period of basketball, in terms of pacing, balance and average ppg it might have been perfect and it's a great compromise between the old school fans that liked the 90s and early 00s with the modern fans that like the game of the 2010s and 2020s.

Those 100 points were harder earned though. Also bad example to use Kareem since he played in the 70s and 80s where teams regularly scored over 100.

The problem is that people shoot threes nowadays cause it’s cool. The Warriors for example shoot threes because they have shooters, they play to their strength as that’s their best way to win. But the only reason why kids nowadays want to shoot 3s is not to win, but so they can be like Steph Curry and do a little dance, the concept of shooting a 3 is more important to people than what basketball is about, winning. I think that one dude was right to say you should be limited in the amount of 3s you can take, not so much in college or the NBA, but definitely in high school and younger. Flight especially needs to be limited as well 😂
