the fact that Dahyun wrote Gone and then didn't say a word for 2 minutes and 13 seconds, sitting back and letting the members do their thing then coming in with probably the best flow on the album, is probably my favorite part of the album.

If they hadn’t fully renewed their contract with the company that year, “When We Were kids” would have been their last song before renewing their contract. So this song means a lot.

When we were kids hits me I think because I basically grew up with twice. I’m about to turn 23 now and graduating college, and the song makes me remember when I was 15-16 back in high school when I first started listening to them.

'talk that talk' MV. related to 'scientist', as Chaeyoung said, the hand in the big screen is her as 'ChaeStien' (mad scientist in 'scientist', which also can refer to 'Blofeld' (james bond's villain)) so, in my theory, 'talk that talk' happen during 'scientist' before the egg hatch, as TWICE(spy) went into cyberspace to save the cat which got manipulate by 'mad scientist' (might be all the cats. :D) so in 'between 1&2' as ONCE & TWICE can refer as, they want to hear word 'love' but not by fame ('queen of heart' because you can do it too.), not by fear (brave), not by lie (gone), be simple (basic) as a child (when we were kids). :D (but couldn't figured out about 'trouble' (which Jihyo credited for wrote & produce) :P) anyway, have a good day. :)

This is my favorite Twice album start to finish. Brave didn't really catch me until I saw them perform it live, and it became one of my favorites. The intensity and passion they performed it with in the middle of a long set of hard choreo was incredible. Jihyo especially poured her heart out in that stage. Also Jihyo's high note in Gone is I think her highest belt in any of their songs, a high f# if I remember. Incredible album.

You may saying twice lowkey top 5 kpop artist. But i think most people will acknowledge tht twice bp & bts are the big three in kpop, if not at least in their generation🫡

In this album brave & gone are my personal favorites but basics creeps up on me, Brave feels like a nice late night car ride while also being oddly comforting like a warm hug, and gone perfectly puts rage into a TWICE song for me. The way I could blast them both on the same volume while getting different vibes I really enjoy. This is why I love twice they capture emotions and are so versatile. Hearing this album and formula of love live in concert was amazingggg!

Ooh Eyes Wide Open _is_ an amazing album as well; but Talk That Talk is one of my top 5 TWICE songs probably so I'm glad you're checking it out. Luck to you in not buying a ton of albums, K-pop really know what they're doing in having me interesting in actually owning all these albums that come with photobooks and photocards etc, it's definitely not addictive 🙄 Also yessss that QR code was so cute it took you to the instagram post where they first announced the name of their fandom, which I know you like 😊 I think the hammer-throwing and the cat on the screen was some kinda reference to an old Apple commercial I don't really know? As for any K-pop artists having "a thing with cats"; well they do seem to love comparing idols to animals (like Nayeon being a bunny, Tzuyu being a deer; and IVE having this occasional lore thing where they're all secretly cats; meanwhile Dreamcatcher's JiU and STAYC's Sumin are also "bunnies"; Billlie's Haruna is a turtle; Red Velvet Suelgi is a bear; etc etc etc) Glad you liked Talk That Talk, it's super late here (I'm in Europe I hate this time difference hahaha) but looking forward to watching the rest of your album reaction ♥

In case anyone hasn't mentioned it yet, Talk that Talk is a tribute song by Twice to their fans "Once", in this MV there are a ton of references to their previous songs and the cat itself is, yes, a reference to the cat from "Scientist" and at the same time the idea imitates an 80's Apple advertisement, which in turn is based on the movie and/or novel 1984 by Orwell.
