txt's debut really changed the trajectory of the next kpop gen

yes, txt was the first group from bighit after bts! so you can imagine the amount of pressure they were under when they debuted in 2019... they got support from many people (as well as bts fans), but some refused to see them past the "bts younger brothers". people need to understand that the members joined bighit when it wasn't a big and famous company yet and all worked really hard to be able to debut. even though they're from the same company, their sound and concept is very different from bts. txt have their own unique universe and style. and they managed to prove their immense talent over time :) they really have a no skip discography! i hope you continue to listen to their songs^^

The fact that the company actually facing bankruptcy makes it worse. But ofc, when they debuted ppl just assuming they got it easy (i mean, recent hybe group that debuted after hybe established really got it good tho ngl, that's why they're easy to climb up 😂)

The meaning of this song is also told in Nap Of A Star, which is 100% storyline and a cinematic piece of art. To me it is about self acceptance in puberty when the things that make you unique are the things you might get bullied for, and finding friends that also have insecurities but realizing that they are beautiful as they are (your horns/insecurities become your crown/ things you are proud of) Especially the first three albums the b side storyline MVs are beautiful and more like short films than MVs (Magic Island and Eternally) Should you watch Eternally, please watch a lyrics video first to hear the song, cause the song is cut up as the MV is a 19 minute long masterpiece.

Exactly! At this time nobody know it's a lore at all since lore isn't really a thing at that time. But after star seekers and the tales of magic island released, watching everything again makes sense so much!

Even during pre-debut they released photos and videos (such as the "What Do You See?" videos) that said "TU content certified by Big Hit Entertainment" so we all knew that they were going to have a storyline. And there was an article during pre-debut that said BigHit had worked on TXT's storyline for 6 years before their debut! The only thing we fans didn't know was how everything connected, or what more there was to the lore other than horns and wings. Those were fun times, and it's like reliving those times while watching these reactions

BTS is heavily hip-hop based but they've been experimenting with new genres since the beginning and that benefited them immensely. Trying new sounds made them really comfortable with doing many different things on stage. Since that process helped them grow as artists A LOT, it kinda became a bighit thing. The more you listen to TXT's discography you'll see they also try different genres all the time. They surely have their own sound but it's hard put them in a box. So, hearing you say they kinda sound similar because of dynamite and crown(which is fair on its own) is really amusing to me. I'm like "oh sweet summer child you have no idea". But, I'll say this to give a little sneak peak. When TXT released deja vu the response was "it sounds like a bighit song, this is bighit's sound" :)

Lyrics in this song explain the pain of growing up and the transition from childhood to adulthood, such as a person feeling like a stranger and not accepting himself, and he sees horns on his head at the beginning of the song, and at the end of it he describes it as a crown on his head when he accepts himself and finds sincerity or someone like him and helps him.

Same. I couldn't even sit through the whole video. I think I dropped it right after they were making fun of our fandom name, and then I read the comments and was like, nope, not my type of content! Did you watch the whole video?
@roselrii3 ай бұрын
@@indianmoa8807 i did but only the reaction parts, god the 'hater' kept complaining about the pause in the middle of the mv and even insulting the mv director while they're at it,,,, and i don't even know how the 'fan' thought that lovesong was generic at all... :(

I love how much you analyze the music. It's really refreshing to have a reactor who cares that much to understand the lore of TXT( especially when theirs is so complicated lol). TXT did actually face a lot of haters when they debuted solely because they came after BTS. A lot of people said that they didn't deserve their hype because BTS gave it to them and people even said that they didn't think it was fair to use the money BTS made bighit to lift up TXT. It was messy. The Ultimate Guide to TXT by beomiebear goes over it in more detail ifyou are ever interested in learning.

Txt are the kings of fun up-beat sounding songs with the most depressing lyrics! There is a viral video online of idols crying to txts first comeback song “run away” bc the song is so sad but sounds so fun. Also TXT and BTS are very polar opposite, sound and concept wise. When txt debuted with Crown people were so happy bc its was the complete opposite of BTS (since BTS is very hiphop focused)

I find myself enjoying all of reactions more and more😊 the way you analyze each aspect of the song from the lyrics to the mv really shows how invested you are in each reaction.

This was such an amazing debut song. To this day I love it. It's very distinct. "Oooooooooooh... Youuuuuuuuuuuu..." :)

The Korean title of this song is "One day horns grew on my head." The song is basically an introduction to their Star Seekers storyline (talking about horns growing on his head and fearing becoming a monster), but it can also be about growing up and feeling different from everyone else, like an outcast who doesn't belong, but finally finding someone who also is different (someone with wings, like the lyrics: "are your wings the same pain as mine?") and realizing that his horns can become a crown (his flaws or differences can become his strength). If you go more into their storyline (The Star Seekers), then you will see more references to the horns, and wings, and other things. They have another song called "Deep Down" (Korean title: "the horns that grew on my head were my crown") that references Crown and the storyline with a nostalgic, melancholic sound, although the lyrics are uplifting. It's a pop song with a Jersey Club rhythm and edm elements, and Yeonjun participated in writing the lyrics. (Which is interesting bc in the storyline, Yeonjun is the one who grows horns on his head.) It was funny, bc almost everyone at the time was doing dark songs, but then TXT debuted with a light-sounding song, and this set them apart from the other groups. Then as everyone else was doing light songs, TXT came in with a dark song suddenly, again setting themselves apart from the other groups. And then while everyone was doing the mainstream pop sound, TXT surprised everyone with the rock sound, and then suddenly there was a big surge of kpop rock songs after that lol
