Regarding Namtae, it was a difficult time not only for him but also for WINNER and fans. We didn’t know if YG would disband them or not! We didn’t have any word for months until they made their comeback in April of 2017 with Really Really and Fool. I think that trauma caused many to disassociate themselves anything Taehyun. WINNER doesn’t perform songs that he wrote and even made a 4ver of their debut songs cuz fans just wanted just the 4 members to be on it. Taehyun has gotten a lot of backlash and also Knetz hated on him while he was a member of Winner and it only got worse after he left. He has gone through a lot of things and hit rock bottom and rehabilitating nowadays and even started to post videos on his YT channel. Over all, there are those fans who completely dropped him, those who feel bad for him and those who still support him. But I think it was the best decision cuz WINNER’s dynamic is much stronger and they’re happy and Taehyun will also get to that point. Thank you for your reaction 🥰💙

WINNER still holds the record for fastest win. Nobody ever broke that record. That video is really well done. Except for the fact that they got the no. of days wrong. It was actually 4 days, not 6. So yeah, they are the monster rookie. WINNER is really different from the common YG groups but they are special. They are gems that are well loved by the general public. I totally agree with @internetsnathan. They are no longer idols, they are artists. It's just amazing how they shine regardless of OT5 or OT4. They can easily capture the heart of their listeners. I would gladly watch the whole SOSO online concert with you. Since you already started watching solo contents, you might want to check out JINU's solo, "Call Anytime". Hoony hasn't debuted officially yet but he also have solo songs included in WINNER albums. So please check out the members' solo concert performance. FYI, Winner still hold the record for fastest win from debut. Nobody / Group break their record yet. The narrator was wrong about this. Regarding Nam Taehyun, when he left, it was said that YHS wanted to disband Winner (not sure how true it is). After that NTH getting himself into scandal after scandal.

Of course, WE WANT WINNER WEEK 2 AND WE WANT CROSS SPECIAL CONCERT HEHEHE. It's up to you. Their earlier songs are also great and easy to listen to but they don't really perform the songs that Taehyun wrote since he left the group. They're content and happy separated and both the members & fans prefer that.

I'm glad you reacted to that guide because it really summed up most of their journey. I do think they missed something tho. When they came back with Sentimental they were expecting to do as good as with their first album and it didn't happen. YG is famous for being strict with what they put out so it seems like the process of releasing that song was tough. As someone who started listening to their music until REALLY REALLY, it seems to me their sound had Taehyun at the center of it and he prefered a more indie band type of music which was vastly different from what YG usually does so the members felt like the ugly duckling of the company. When Taehyun left Seungyoon became the main producer and Seunghoon apparently requested for a more youthful sound so they made a lot of changes for the best. Seungyoon has confessed their song FOOL is about how he felt he drove Taehyun away. It was a really difficult time for them and they felt they were being forgotten. That's why YG decided to send Mino to do the survival Show me the money which is for rappers and was hugely popular at the time. He did really well and became popular because the songs he put out in the competition were on top of the korean charts thanks to Zico who was producing them and of course Mino's lyrics. His most famous song in the show was Fear featuring Taeyang. After that he was casted in the second season of the variety show New Journey to the West which was a hit. So he became really popular in Korea. When WINNER finally came back with REALLY REALLY people were paying attention and the song is just so catchy that it was an instant hit.

Love this reaction although Winner still holds the record of the fastest win and it’s 4 days, not 6 days. Some were not really emphasized like how they were put in hiatus right after a successful debut killing the hype. All cause of YG. Would love to see an Everyday album reaction.

Rewatching the WINNER concert with you will definitely be fun. 😊 The great 2014 idol group lineup from the big3: WINNER (YG), GOT7 (JYP) and Red Velvet (SM). There also groups from other companies like Mamamoo, Lovelyz, etc. All very successful. 😊 YG also debuted AKMU in early 2014, you can check them out as well. AKMU and Winner are the YG artists that are less YG style. As 5, Winner released 4 MVs: Empty, Color Ring, Sentimental and Baby baby. So if you wanna check them out as 5, that would prob be it. If you like variety shows, you can also check out Winner's Youth over Flowers. Mino won this variety show for Winner from his other variety show (New Journey to the West). They were "kidnapped" and was taken to Australia for a vacation.

I would recommend SEUNGYOON’s 365 live band version on 1theK. The video itself has no lyrics, but to feel the song I’d recommend to read them before watching His album is a treasure, best thing that happened to Kpop And I’m telling this as Mino biased😂 his 3 albums are awesome too..

Okay so I can kinda give you a rundown of who was doing what in 2014 when Winner debuted. So JYP had just debuted Got7 about seven months ahead of Winner, though several of the Got7 members showed up on Win Who Is Next. So at that time they had Real Got7 on youtube and then their variety show I Got7 that aired on Mnet a couple months before Winner debuted. SM didn't have any boygroup debuts in 2014 (because they'd just debuted Exo two years prior) but they debuted Red Velvet roughly in the same time frame as Winner. And then Exo at the time had Exo's Showtime which ran from the end of 2013 into early 2014. So in general 2014 was a strong year for the big 3 in general. In terms of non big 3 stuff Vixx had their predebut survival show MyDOL in 2012 and then Vixx's MTV diary in 2013 that were sorta in this era. And BtoB had Cool Men on MTV in 2014 as well as the KZbin series BtoB: Black Box. I'm sure I missed a few but those are the ones I specifically remember from this era.

Idk about now, but WINNER were considered quite tall for Korean men. BIGBANG are like 160-170 in average, and the tallest member T.O.P is nearly the same height as Jinwoo I also know that Stray Kids are small🥹💙😄

On your first question, i could say that as compared to Team B, WINNER's edge is their distinguisahble personality. It was the reason why they struggled as a team, initially. But fortunately, they were able to get around it, specially during Really Really era.

It was clear even before debut that Taehyun struggled majorly with his mental health so it really was no surprise to me when things went down, but he really was the essence of winner at that point. Like the video pointed out he basically wrote the songs for their sentimental + baby baby comeback and was at that point the "face" of the group in the sense that he had a solo music video, was getting a lot of attention, etc. So more than a shock when he left due to his mental health, I was more so wondering what direction winner would go down after him musically. I'm not going to lie, I do enjoy their earlier work more, just because it's more the style of music I enjoy but I'm glad winner is still doing well. Taehyun has been through a lot and is still going through stuff but he seems to be doing a bit better so that's great!

And personally, he is a great singer but I prefer the current vibe. His songs as unfortunately my least fav, they are good though, I like Tonight.
