Lav Luka you should react to Nuclear Bomb compilations!! They are terrifying but kind of beautiful. If it wasn’t for the radiation and them being used on people it would be amazing to see one go off in person I think. Like how we love fireworks and thunder/lightning I think we’d get that feeling times 10. Also check out a video on the Zhar Bomba which was the largest nuke to ever be tested by the Russians. It shattered glass 600 miles away and the shockwave circled the Earth 3 times. That’s insane.

You didn't notice the sentence the reader said about the most likely scenario, a calm lava flow that we saw in Hawaii two years ago. Even that is very unlikely to happen in anywhere near future. Yellowstone magma chamber has about 5-10% molten magma and it locates parsely around the chamber. That really is not eruptable. Gases can't escape either. No worries there. A big eruption has about 0 possibility at the moment and near future.

I saw something about the person standing on the edge of the volcano. He is a New Zealander & he made hit own heat shield suit. He had always dreamed of the chance to stand on the edge of a volcano. The magma lake is much further away than it looks in the picture but even so he could only stand close to the edge for a several seconds at a time. Talk about being dedicated to a dream! There is nothing the US could do in almost any magnitude of eruption of Yellowstone. If it were a moderate 'blow' or above, there is little you could do in the UK. If a big 'blow' happens even the people in the southern hemisphere would have little they could do. Pretty scary stuff.

In regards to a plan for the Yellowstone eruption... Our government monitors the volcano. It's predicted that the land around Yellowstone would suddenly raise by a few feet. This would give us a few days (3 days?) notice before it errupts. Giving people time to evacuate. Some have been some pretty stupid ideas but thankfully they've been nixed. Idea #1 was to drill a few smaller holes into the volcano causing smaller eruptions and relieving the pressure. However, scientists quickly said the smaller eruptions might CAUSE a super eruption as could the vibrations from any GIANT drill big enough to puncture the crust. Idea #2 has always been suggested sarcastically. It involves some sort of cap or plug which would just make things worse because the pressure would just build even more causing a LARGER SUPER ERUPTION Idea #3

The suits can resist temps up to 1,650C (3,000F)

If you are a gamer there is a game that you can play on PS4 that you can go to Yellow Stone. I have been to Yellowstone about 10 times because I live less then 6 hours from the park. In Horizon Zero Dawn in the DLC add on you go to Yellowstone and it is so realistic the 1st time I saw it in game my jaw hit the ground it is so close to reality I felt like I was back standing in Yellowstone. This game is BY FAR my favorite game ever because it is a blast to play over and over and in my opinion it has some of the best graphics I have ever seen in a video game. I will say the game starts out slow and I prefered to play on story difficulty 1st and grind through the entire story and then go to the Frozen Wilds DLC and do everything possible up there and then go back to the main area and try and do everything possible before starting to play on Ultra Hard or Very hard for a while and get use to killing bigger machines on a harder difficulty. Once you've gotten use to those difficulties start NG+ on Very Hard and that is when HZD really gets fun. It really is a beautiful game and its worth playing once at least just to get to go to the Frozen Wilds DLC and walk around the hot springs, guisers, and boardwalks that you can go to in person because it's so incredible how close to real life they were able to make Yellowstone in a game. You could always look up Frozen Wilds DLC speed run on Ultra Hard and get to see the DLC that way but you'll definitely enjoy it more if you play it because you can walk around the area as slow as you want and enjoy the beauty for yourself.

Let me put this to rest here and now.... For a volcano to erupt there has to be a sequence of events and these events have to follow in order to be a real eruption (and not just an explosion that lasts a matter of hours-the way A LOT of volcanoes do in the ring of fire). With that said, for a major eruption in Yellowstone there would have to be a lava dome. No dome, no real eruption. As a matter of fact the caldera in Yellowstone has been sinking a few inches a year. Look at Mount Saint Helens. That eruption taught quite a bit to the USGS. The "dome" was actually a bulge on the side of the mountain. There's your clue Sherlock. The only other eruptions since then have been Mount Pinatubu in the Phillipines and Mountserrat in the Carribean. Because of Mt. Saint Helens the USGS was able to evacuate people and save lives in both cases. To the tin foil hat wearers that say "don't trust the government" on this or any subject, I speak from a lifetime of study on this subject.
