6:10 THAT'S MY UNCLE! He was on the show in 2009. They bring in people that applied by phone or email to be the ones that fail and college or amateur athletes that practice the course to make sure theyd have people that make it. The $50k prize is fake and win or lose they'd pay you $1k for showing up. My uncle says it was some of the best fun he's had as everyone just hung out and drank when the cameras weren't on. The announcers ARE there, just the segments where they're in the booth in suits are recorded after. Edit: the backstory they gave is fake as well. His name is Mike and he's not from PA lol

bruh. When contestants went on wipeout, they signed a waiver that basically stated that the contestant is well aware of the possibility of serious injury or death and that they cant sue if it happens. ESPECIALLY in the US

Sadly, I remember hearing just recently about a contestant that got hurt so bad they passed away from their injuries. Didn't check to see if it was true or not. But then again, watching this show. It's surprising there hasn't been more.

Yes and, I could be wrong, but I remember reading that the contestants are fully responsible for their own injuries and medical bills resulting. Yea they got paid a few grand but with American health care.. that'd only cover a quarter of the bills
@ocifer20 күн бұрын
Signing a document saying you can’t sue doesn’t really mean you cannot sue, but you just have to go through the courts to make a judgement as to whether or not the terms are actually fair. I’m assuming they were, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility that a judge could void the terms of a contract.
