1. Both of you were raised well, your parents did an excellent job & made beautiful kids inside & outside. 2. Yesterday I was with my in laws, went to church with my mom in love, ran some errands with her afterwards and she made us lunch when we got home, nothing fancy just a simple meal with tea. 3. Moral of the story, I think mother's who do this exceptionally well make are rare but they exist and I do not see how as a makoti you can navigate a new home if your mom in love is not loving. Not saying it's their responsibility only, but it just so much easier when it comes from them😊

42:28 During the day we have Christmas lunch kulohubby then later one once everything is done we drive and visit ekhaya siyokonwaba khona since we are in the same village/town. His idea was that our child/ren need to spend such moments with both their families, angaphoswa kukhula nabatshana bam ekhaya nakowabo. Also he understands the culture of a Christmas celebration yasekhaya kumnandi kakhulu. He tries to give me that balance or ndiyophumla ekhaya xa kudinekile.

It didn't matter if we were home or apha ekapa, lamama ruled sana. There were family meetings held and I would know only when my husband would come back. I watched someone win at this makoti thing. After first visit at home, observed all expectations, when she would be helped and when not. Next December, she brought all kinds of things to make her work easier. Eg brought Bucket of scones from cpt , for tea things , or tools that make house work easier and after. That way even with little assistance at least the work wouldn’t be too tiring

The scones was a way to avoid having to make them from scratch each morning at home as was the norm at the husband’s. Bringing those buckets with heating elements for bathing water for the family etc

Reason for this was that umntwana mna andimazi so kufuneka umama andifundise umntwana and also bathi xa usemzini umntwana andizokwazi ukumhoya coz kofuneka ndibe busy then the hubs family iyeza izokubona umntwana after ewise inkaba bamphathele ke izinto. After a month or so my family takes me back emzinam nabo bandikhaphe with izinto zomntwana.
