hello, nice to see you again in another ABBA song there is much to say about "One of us" (1981) 1) It is a beautiful song, it has a soft melody and melancholic lyrics that allow Agnetha to shine with a very sweet voice, and a catchy and harmonic chorus 2) was ABBA's last big hit, #1 in several European countries and #3 in the UK (last Top 10 of their 18 in a row between 1975/1982) 3) recorded at the end of 1981, the two couples were already separated (Agnetha & Björn almost 3 years ago, Benny & Frida a few months ago) 4) the official video is very good, it shows Agnetha (with a more mature beauty) acting sober and convincing rebuilding a love life from a move 5) In my opinion it is together with "Slipping through my fingers" the best song from the album "The Visitors" , where the melancholy and rawness of their lyrics is most pronounced in the context of a complex album of musical exploration away from ABBA's signature pop, and an image of the four singles over the two couples now I suggest You go to another way, two greatest worldwide hits and beautiful ballads pop: "Fernando" (1976) or "Chiquitita" (1979) My greetings to you from Buenos Aires, Argentina South América

Thank you Eduardo, I appreciate that very much. I prefer to let people know rather than give them false hope which is what is happening in the world today. I play what I play and if people like it they come, just like you did. I think people forget that there are 1000s of them and one person the other end, me so it's impossible to honour everything that gets flung my way. People think you just deal with them individually when in fact they are part of 1000s of other people. When you get 100s of 'do this and do that' its impossible plus its not easy especially with copyright. I actually had to fight for Sumner Night City. So to me honesty is better because people then know. I play good music by original artists because they are worthy not copies. Also being more mature doing this stuff and in the media I see more and know more than most how all this works. There are many marketeers posing as subscribers to push their stuff and they actually make it bad for the honest soul who just wants to listen and have a good time. That's why we see and hear the same acts constantly on YT. Mostly for views and marketing pushing their clients. I won't do that as they dont pay me for that. I run my channel my way. Honest, Open, sincere, and inclusive so everyone can understand what I say (subtitles which I write myself for each video), so it's a lot of work. One video can take up to 4 hours and possibly days when fighting copyright. So taking on another element of say requests when I know its not possible would be silly, because I wouldn't be able to honour it and I believe in being honourable. That is why many chsnnels have Patreon etc. Sone even charge for interactions which I do for free. I respond personally, and gave fine 12k replies and more so that's a lot of time too, but I care. No channel does that. I also have to earn a living so the little time I have left needs to do just that. And things are real tough Eduardo. If people were quick to help the channel like buy a coffee or t-shirt as quickly as they ask for reacts then that would help. I hope this makes better sense now. Like you I really care about what I do and for the right reasons. As for you information you write about the songs that's fine because it actually educates people. I will be playing more ABBA just so you know! They don't make them like that anymore Eduardo, not sure where talent has gone. Have a blessed Wednesday. Psyche 🌹

@@psycheinc-theSLC What a detailed delicate and personalized answer Thank you very much for this courtesy of giving me an important part of your time. It helps much more to know the context of each person and situation Even more so in these difficult times with altered moods on social networks, where sometimes there are sterile discussions about who sings a song or who is the best group (limiting myself only to the field of music) I am a mature person, 64 years old, musically I grew up with The BEATLES and their solo careers, they have been the group of my young years and at my 'third age' I find in ABBA the group that brings me closer to and identifies more with the best years of modern music (even more so at this time when ABBA has made the most unexpected comeback in the history of modern music and the most incredible concerts with their 'ABBAtars' are about to start in a few weeks in London) That is why I like to share the few things that I was able to discover about them from such a geographical distance, watching videos, reading notes, studying rankings Sometimes I can accompany some links to television or live presentations, which I believe are not within the scope of blocking on KZbin because they are not official videos. example of ABBA benefits: Waterloo at Eurovision Chiquitita for UNICEF the live songs from the Australian 1977 or London 1979 tours and other more specific links Well, that's all I wanted to share with you, as a way of thanking you for your very attentive response. Again I express my absolute respect for your task Surely we will see each other in some other video of yours about ABBA, or perhaps about the Beatles, or some very specific situation that attracts me I leave you an affectionate greeting from a distance from Buenos Aires Argentina South America (PS: sorry if my English is bad, I try to do my best with Google Traductor)

ABBA was (and still is) really good at it. Catchy melodies, but arranged in a very complex way, so that even the "demanding listener" can have fun with it. In addition, lyrics from real life with which everyone could identify.

What’s more amazing is that they held no grudges against each other, and continued to be friends up to now…which culminated in the recording of the Voyage album - Bjorn mentioned the vibes during the recording was one of love, bonding and friendship. They have shown that they can still deliver great music, but more importantly, how to live with each other in a spirit of love and forgiveness. Way to go, AꓭBA!

Awwwe this must have been a dark time for them all... the last ever album they did together before they divorced and all went their separate ways. I remember reading that most of their video pieces were all done separately for this album, I think this video looks like they weren't together in the same room filming this piece.. looking at their expressions in this beautiful video you can see this was the beginning of the end, and Frida looks incredibly sad. They must have been so very strong and professional to have continued working through their painful personal situations at this time.. bless them. I loved "The Visitors" album.

Hey there Psyche, thanks for sharing that, not a song I can remember hearing but don't Agnetha and Frida harmonize so well. Now, I think I may have outed myself on the last Abba post, myself being a young lad trying to be cool way back then. I had a crush on Agnetha and this post brought back memories. Dancing Queen is one song I loved, there I have said it. Abba is timeless, they will still be playing their songs in a 100 years time I suspect. I agree with you about Abba songs at weddings and such like, once a song came on, particularly Dancing Queen, everybody got up to dance. It crossed boundaries and cultures and made people smile. Wishing you a peaceful day and hope Loulou is healing well, Rich

Yes I have - I think people think that the word 'Reactions' means the first time and actually it doesn't mean that not even close. People change the meaning of words to suit themselves. In fact me reacting will be the viewers first time seeing me react to it. Some songs I play I haven't heard for over 20+ years so it's like going down memory lane. Incidentally I haven't seen the video but that said, if people want to see people who have never seen Abba, then they would need to follow a young channel as most have seen them. Also they will put FIRST TIME SEEING etc.
