It basically tells about a person who yearns our God's love. The person feels that the love for Him was not enough, that made the person afraid Allah won't returned it. So he beg for it. At least that's the way i interpreted the lyric. That's why i am in tears everytime i heard this song.

Hi nephi. Thank you for this video reaction. Raihan is the original group singer of this song - Sesungguhnya. Raihan is the legend of nasyid group in Malaysia. (a group of singers that sing the songs related to Islamic theme). The only group that manage to sell their records more than 1 million copies and no other singer ever beat this record. The other guy that you mentioned, named Che Amran. One of the Raihan's singer. Actually, the main singer used to be Nazrey Johani, the one who created this song and the lyric. But, Nazrey already come back to his hometown to continue preaching Islam and taking care of private Islamic school. Raihan used to be lead by Zairie, but he was passed away a few years back. In their era, Raihan used to travel all around the world including Africa and United Kingdom. They are the one who inspires other Islamic Theme singers all over the world to perform Islamic songs publicly. This song - Sesungguhnya mainly about a monologue between a human and his creator (God). The monologue telling that he is craving for God's love, trying very hard to feel God's love and show to God that he already submitted himself to Him. It’s kind of feeling as human we thought we able to return God favor however we never able to return because whatever God give us, one breath and everything in this world cannot be paid by us as human. However God never ask us to pay in same amount because He knows we never able to pay him. This is "nasyid" or simply known as Muslim gospel... This genre is mainly focused on godly and religious awareness/reminder to its listeners... This is a colab between alif and a group called "Raihan". Raihan is indeed a giant in Malaysian music industry, to date there was not a single Malaysian artists had overtake their record in bestselling album back in 1997/1998 (cannot recall the exact year). This is Raihan's song called "sesungguhnya" or simply translated as "indeed" or "surely". The song mainly focused on seeking the ultimate love from the God/pray for heavenly afterlife/ total submission to the God. Oh yes, vocal harmonizing is one of a things among nasyid singers... Raihan used to be a very big "Nasyid" group in Malaysia during the 90s & early 2000.... one original member had passed on and the former main vocalist Nazrey is my hometown mate, he left the group & now concentrated more on 'dakwah'.
