Elize has mentioned that the imagery is to represent the dual sides of humanity; good and evil, and that we should be strong to overcome our evil with good. Noora Louhimo is from the power metal band Battle Beast. She's incredible. I'd recommend their songs "Black Ninja", "King for a Day", and "The Golden Horde". Noora is a beast! As far as Amaranthe goes, this is more of a power ballad and not entirely typical of their sound since the other two male vocalists are not in this one. You should definitely check out "Archangel", "Fearless", and "BOOM!" by Amaranthe. They will blow your mind.

Loving the channel. Don't know if you plan to branch into other genres but if you do give a listen to: Homefree - Acapella group so no instruments other than their voice/mouth. Gangstagrass - Interesting mix of Rap/Bluegrass which is fun "Barnburning" would be a good jump off point Killswitch Engage - "Hate by Design" if you want an appreciation for Jesse Leach's vocal range.

When I first heard this i kind of missed Nils and Henrik on the vocals, the dynamic the three of them have is fantastic, and the song didn't really grab me right away. I still liked it (all of the singles from their latest album are great) but after several more playthroughs I have to agree, this is very, very good. Since you mentioned playing it for your daughters, I do have to suggest "Dear Daughter" by Halestrom (it's not a rock/metal song like most of their portfolio, and wouldn't usually be the first suggestion from them but it's probably the song every parent should play for their children) just bring tissues, chances are you will tear up, I know I do and I'm not even a parent. And another one "Song of Women" - The Hu Featuring Lzzy Hale (from previously mentioned Halestorm), they are a Mongolian rock band with throat singing.
@oceansoul0853 жыл бұрын

Such a great song and great band and their new album most likely will be my favourite album this year🤘.. You are getting sucked into the vortex of powerful women in metal. I personally think this is the salvation of metal. Your tag line is that you missed the last 15 years of metal. Not everyone will agree, but I feel that metal was on a downward slide most of that time and even earlier. Too many bands sound the same, and it's all about being loud and angry. The women have brought completely different energy to metal, and I can't get enough.

Dead on about the crown of thorns and the adversity Jesus faced being the parallel. As my main recommendation, check out *Arch Enemy* _Reason to Believe_ It shows off a lot of their newest singer's strengths and introduce you to another current female powerhouse in metal. Some bonuses. Here's some duets and ensembles though since you liked the one here. *Amaranthe* _Do or Die (featuring Angela Gossow, former lead singer of Arch Enemy)_ Check out the music video since its a 2020 single. *Within Temptation* _Somewhere (featuring Anneke van Giersbergen)_ *Black Symphony tour* Might actually be "the best duet ever". "Somewhere The Best Duet Ever " is the video title. It's from their DVD. *Nightwish* _Phantom of the Opera_ *End of Era tour* This version is with Tarja Turunen the first singer of Nightwish and Marco their bassist and sometimes male vocalist. Floor Jansen also has a great rendition with Henk Poort if wanted to see how she stacks up. *Delain* _The Gathering (featuring Marco from Nightwish)_ *Masters of Rock 2017* Another great female singer and paired with Marco in a song he thrives in. *Within Temptation* _Paradise (featuring Tarja Turunen)_ I recommend the music video for this one, just because it's great video with a good concept. There are live versions out there too but the quality of the recording while decent isn't quite up to snuff. *Epica* _Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live_ Simone is another great singer. *Exit Eden* - _Impossible (Shontelle cover) LIVE @ HH Metal Dayz_ Exit Eden is four female singers from four symphonic metal bands doing metal covers for pop songs. Amanda, the oldest one, was the vocal coach for Floor from Nightwish and Simone from Epica.

Amaranth’s comment: "Devil and saint, martyr and sinner, betrayal and loyalty - 'Strong' essentially underlines the dualistic nature of what it means to be human. In an increasingly polarised world, we found it incredibly exciting to reach across the metal world and find collaboration and unity with the phenomenal Noora Louhimo. Even if the world around you is on fire, and if you find yourself at a disadvantage, remember that there is always one part of you that will remain - 'Strong'."

If you haven't seen/heard it yet, you should react to "Zombie". The original is from The Cranberries and the cover by Bad Wolves (who where supposed to have the lead singer of The Cranberries with them, before she sadly left this world). 2 for the price of 1? ............ try 11 (yes, eleven) for the price of 1 !!!! *AYREON* with *_"The Day That The World Breaks Down"_* : Do I need to say more? Btw1. helping you to pronounce the names the right way: it's not Floor Jensen but Floor Yan-sun (take it from someone who has the same last name 😉, but unfortunately not related (or ... ?)). Btw2. As allways, great reaction (including the "(hi)storytime "👍). Btw3. Initially, they were called Avalanche” when they started out, but a guy from up north in Sweden owned the rights for it. He threatened to sue them, and they decided it was not worth the fight since they already had another idea in mind: Amaranthe, meaning “the never-fading”; something that stays fresh forever. It had a nice alliteration with Avalanche and it felt unique and had a cool meaning
