My fave performance of hers in Sea of Hope is Read My Mind (originally by The Killers), love the vibe! I do love 'Because I Love You' too, but it's more of a ballad. The girl is Lee Suhyun from AKMU, a duo with her brother. I'd recommend her solo song Alien! The boy is ONEW from SHINee, I don't know much about them, but I really like Replay. Onew is part of the boygroup Shinee (also known as "the princes of k-pop" lol) and they've been active since 2008! All of them are unique, excellent singers and they are well known in Korea. It's definitely worth checking out some of their stuff, even if not for reactions :)

The other lady is not "not famous". She is another superstar in South Korea. Although Blackpink and other girl groups are more widely known in outside of South Korea because they dance, giviing opportunities to cover to overseas teenagers, Akmu is one of the biggest names in South Korea as well. I would recommend watching killing voice Akmu. By the way, please cover IU's another live concert performance sooner, hopefully "hold my hand". It's so pleasant to see you cover IU's live performance.

Rosé is in her element in this show. Su Hyun (from AKMU) has a solo track called Alien ...the MV is fun but I much prefer the dance performance version because AKMU are best known for their vocal chops and choreo isn't their forté but Su Hyun really surprises in that clip. Another (former) YG artist I'd love to see you react to is Lee Hi, who has a very distinct vocal style. Lee Hi and Su Hyun released a song together under the name Hi Suhyun called 'Im Different' which features an acting cameo from Jisoo. Its a great song and a great introduction to both Su Hyun and Lee Hi.

This was more or less an impromptu encore and spontaneous idea. Rose didn't prepare for this song, so she had to look up the lyrics (thats why she is looking at her phone). The other two that joined Rose here are very famous as well of course. The woman is Lee Su-hyun (from AKMU), also an YG artist (you've seen her in Babymonster's "Last Evaluation" series). The man is Onew (from the boygroup Shinee) and an SM artist. If you remember: The concept for Sea Of Hope was: celebrities (actors as well as singers / musicians) run a beach bar doing everything themselves, including cooking and serving the food / cocktails as well as entertaining the guests ("normal people") with their performances in between. That's why Lee Su-hyun and Onew had still their aprons.

An interesting sidebar about this performance, if you notice the very first seconds of the video Lee Suhyun was holding a blue binder. She was searching through it to find a song the three of them could sing. Literally seconds after she announced IIAGY as the song, the pianist and guitarist started playing and she began singing almost immediately. There was no discussion between the three, no rehearsal, it was here's the song let's go. I'm sure you noticed Rose' was reading the lyrics off her phone and at the end of her performance she looked up at Onew with a look that said 'did I do ok?". On the show, this episode was about 45 minutes long and the build up to this performance had Rose' working as a waitress, serving drinks and taking orders from the few invited guests in attendance. A performance involving the three was scheduled but picking the song was completely random. Three very talented and experienced artists. In this trio of stars all three shined equally bright. All of Rose' performances on Sea of Hope are well worth reacting to. There are also 2 other powerful performances no involving Rose' that are must see as well. One is the solo artist Sunwoo Junga performing her hit RUN WITH ME. And the second is Onew performing his hit SELENE 6.23 Please add them to your list, they are both very powerful and emotional performances and I know you'll enjoy them. BTW, if you enjoy Sunwoo Junga's performance enough you could add her performance of Frank Sinatra's hit MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE she also does on the show. Always enjoy your reactions and looking forward to much more from Sea of Hope.

In case others watching don't know about the show Sea of Hope where this clip is from, it was a Korean show where various celebrities staffed and ran a beach side cafe. The singers on the show would occasionally take a break from their work duties to perform for the guests. That's why they are wearing aprons. Rose was a special guest and appeared on only a few episodes. This performance was an unplanned encore which is why Rose is reading the lyrics from her phone. Great Reaction CoachCastTV! Lee Su-Hyun and a couple of South Korean Actors and Actress and a couple more singers are the ones who ran The Sea of Hope! Rosé and Onew were the first two Idol’s to kick off this new show! This took place in 2021 as COVID restrictions were gradually being eased! After Rosé finished her Solo project she spent about a week on Sea of Hope! I believe this was produced by JTBC TV who also gave us Jisoo’s Snowdrop K-Drama! 🤘🙏🏻

As some people has already answered the people singing with her is Lee Su-hyun of AKMU and Onew from Shinee. You should definitely check out AKMU, they are fantastic. The group is "just" Su-Hyun and her brother (who writes and produces their music), but the talent between them is immense. The guy is Onew from the Kpop group SHINee [pronounced Shiny] (one of the OGs, they debuted in 2008). Onew is SHINee's main vocalist. The lady with Rosé is Lee Suhyun [pronounced Lee sue yoon]. She is part of a music duo with her brother Lee Chan-hyuk called AKMU [pronounced ak moo], both of them and as AKMU are signed under YG ENTERTAINMENT. They're known as "the Nation's Siblings" and have a reputation as being TRUE artists, writing every song they have ever released. Their genres included Kpop, Soul, and Folk pop. You should check out their life story. So moving. They were so dirt poor and struggled until they made it big as AKMU. I recommend their song "Dinosaur". Trust me, it's a good vibe, it's not exactly a ballad so Mr Coach will like it but you'll feel like you're soaring.

@@CoachCastTV I think this is why other ppl recommend other groups specifically boy groups? This is for the same reason. Look blackpink has been a group for what 8 years? I'll use BTS as an example since they are considered both the best female and male kpop group. BTS has been in this kpop world for 11 years, blackpink on the other hand only 7-8 years which is still a long time don't get me wrong. When ppl say blackpink loves music I believe them yes I truly do believe it but to not make a comeback for there fans in almost 2 whole years? BTS is in the military and STILL doing music. Mind you they will be in the military for 2 years. They've been focusing on themselves only WHiCH is awesome, it's great I luv it but this is MY way of saying you guys should rlly look into BTS/ or other groups that have been in the industry longer? Idk blackpink is awesome but since they've been doing solo activities for 2 whole years? In my opinion it's better if they disband which is what fans have been saying for the past year now. I love y'alls reaction dw but maybe consider watching BTS. Definitely would have been a better introduction to kpop

Sorry to interrupt our angel Rose, but had a interesting tidbit to pass along for all us (G)I-dle fanatics. KBS World has posted a segment of their "The Stations" interview/music show with the queens of concept chaos, (G)I-dle, and it's must-watch if you're a fan. They do both "Fate" and "Klaxon" live, as well as a medley of Summer Songs from other singers they've enjoyed, marking a rare chance to see Idle do songs different from their style. Inbetween, the host quizzes the girls who are their usual scattered selves anchored by Soyeon, who comes in for quite a bit of ribbing. It's also fun because the show is shot in a large auditorium and the girls do "Fate" up in the aisles, so some of the audience members were treated to the girls performing almost within arm's reach, lucky bastards. While we're waiting for Soyeon/Akali and company, check it out when you get the chance....
