If Chanel's performance was a full on explosion of entertainment, Paloma's song was like an enchantment. The finals on Saturday with different music styles will be exciting to watch.

This is still one of my favourites of the whole festival. It just gets under your skin and stays there, and her live vocal is fabulous. I quite like having something pared back and done near perfectly as a change from throw everything at it, but both are fun. I doubt it'll win, but I'm glad she's in the final.

I don't think it is a winner but I applaud her for bringing a pared back song to life. She managed to do what Yianna Terzi (Greece 2018) couldnt do and for that Blanca deserves a pat on the back.

The staging was so beautiful, it reminds me of Marte (Junior Eurovision 2019 Spain), Also her vocals are great i'm glad she qualified

If you know more about the lyrics and the story of the song it all makes sense much more… just listening to her the beauty of the song, her voice and performance, and the poetry of the lyrics, made me emotional. Then I found out it’s about gender violence, about a woman who finally is liberated and has a positive message of finally being free… then I found out that it is about a specific crime that happened in Spain in about 2008. A woman was found dead in her pool (hence the title and how it is represented in the performance). It is believed that her ex husband organised her murder. The house was called “los naranjos” ( the orange trees) and in the song she sings about “azahar” which is the orange blossom). Blanca wrote this song for the soundtrack of a documentary of this crime… look it up, the name of the woman was Lucia Garrido. The song is about the truth coming out, her being liberated, and as the lyrics say “let everyone see”

Its beatiful but a little "one note"... Staging reminds me of Marte but i dont like the dress and the styling at least its lacking some details imo... Stronger eyes. The staging itself is what you come up with if you have no particular idea. I dont think you need to invoke water Just because the song is about sth with water.

It is beautiful but yeah it does run out of steam a little at the end! If they tighten the camera angles on her and less pan outs it would definitely make it better! I think they tried allot of DIFFERENT idea with staging just in case people started to tune out....but I think if the camera just focuses on her I think they dont need all the OTHER stuff :-)

This was my Favourite of semi 1! After a somewhat unimpressive start to Benidorm fest for me, Blanca came on and just blew me away. I thought I might struggle to stay engaged with the song live, but she is such an expressive vocalist and I really liked the simple staging. I thought it worked for her song and I was just enthralled in her performance from start to finish. I liked the sheet in the back because I liked the water projection on it 😅 but maybe the stage was a bit too small for the floating dress idea to be fully effective. Some of the camera shots felt a bit jerky, especially towards the end, so I hope they smooth those out for her performance in the final. But overall I thought she was just fantastic. And she sounded great. I was really impressed.

THIS WAS YOUR FAVOURITE? YAY YOU TOLD ME HAHA! I liked it before the performance and now I REALLY like it! She did an excellent job keeping momentum for three minutes in her performance as the song can run out of steam! But, she did well to keep the momentum going with her performance.

I prefer the song by a lot (this and terra were my winners from beginning) and clearly the best vocals of the night.. and i found her staging as fantastic for this song as I found Chanel’s for hers! ^_^ whilst I enjoy the show of Chanel it’s still not a song I’d listen to without the visuals.. but I’ll always listen to Blanca!

I couldn't agree more, in fact, yesterday, I was watching the show with a friend and I said to her exactly the same thing about the pan out camera movement. I really wish they fix that because as you said it kind of breaks the illusion achieved till that moment And it's very unfortunate. Overall, one of the most remarkable and captivating performances of the Benidorm fest, and i would be very happy if it ends up winning

Blanca Paloma was a pleasant surprise in Semi-Final 1! I didn't even like the studio version, but she is an interpreter! I got emotional with her performance. I don't think it will win, but she can be very proud of this and it definitely deserves to be in the final.
