The BTS army is WAAAAY different than those other “boy band” fanbases. BTS have TONS of male fans, as a matter of fact the majority of their fans are over 30. "I don't know what their nationality is and I don't want to say the wrong thing.." I call this respectful. I'd rather hear this than "So they're like Chinese, right?"... lol... - BTS is known to have the sickest stage performances... Some artist sound good in the recording but a blah when performing life, but BTS is actually a lot better LIVE... - For an easier, friendly nudge, especially if you're an American, try MIC DROP, Steve Aoki's mix - If you want to see some hardcore, check Daechwita, AgustD. Or Joke, RM. Cypher series. Ddaeng. Ugh. - Into dance choreo? ON Kinematic Manifesto. - You like cinematic stuff? ON the MV - A romantic dude? Black Swan, any version. You name your taste and BTS probably has it. Want to see how good they really are? MMA 2018, MAMA 2018, MMA 2019, MAMA 2019. Live. Thank you for reacting, we love it!

your reaction is so refreshing i could cry. so many people arent careful with saying their nationality and so many mock them for singing in korean so seeing what you said was really amazing. bts are a 7 member group from south korea people label them as boyband or kpop but theyre so far from both titles those can be a part of their identity but too many write them off as just that. they do all genres of music theres 3 rappers and 4 vocalists they started as a hip hop based group and are heavily inspired by old school and new school hip hop even though they also incorporate other genres. idol in particular is a song made of traditional korean instruments mixed with afro beats the dancing incorporates traditional Korean dances and some African dances like the gwara gwara. this song is about them loving themselves and telling haters to mind their own business they get a lot of hate people calling them westernized people being racist towards them especially recently because of covid19 and after they gave a speech at the united nations. they also came out with a english song recently for the first time and many tried to use that against them so this performance was like a f u to those people that theyre proud to be korean and no matter if they make songs in english or korean theyll always be korean. sorry for the rant anyways please react to "This is BTS introduction to BTS part 1 by Xceleste" its the best way to get to know what bts are about :)

Filmed in Korea in front of a traditional Korean palace. I suggest watching one of their live mini concerts e.g. Tiny desk concert or Commencement concert. They are very generous with online content during the pandemic. Not to be missed, their Billboard 100 no. 1 hit Dynamite. First time completely in English. If you really want to know about them search for Bts ON Commentary film. You can watch it before or after watching their ON MV. Just a note, though a lot of BTS fans enjoy their looks, a majority of the people, including men love BTS because their songs heal, because they are game changers in the music industry and for celebrities. They want to engage with their fans, they are a group of humble and extremely hard workinf young men who write/produce/organize music that tells a story, music that touches peoples hearts and music that stand up haters and negativity. They are Korean, they love their country as do many of us/fans/ARMY (Adorable Representative MC for Youth) fam correct me if I'm wrong. 💜 BTS has a very powerful socioeconomic system. Take a dive and get to know them like John Cena and others did, you will be pleasantly surprised. Enjoy going down the rabbit hole! 😀👊

I see you got plenty of their basic info, lol, but yes the BTS demographic is literally anyone who enjoys their music and their message. Their company's tagline is Music and Artists For Healing, and BTS write so many songs about so many topics, each member contributing to their music, so reading lyric translations will really, really help you understand wxactly what they're about : ) PLUS they're all just really down to earth, hard working, and actually super humble guys. Let's see, if you listen to anything, maybe one of these will spark your interest ^^ disco pop- Dynamite anthem- ON hard rap- UGH! soft rap- Outro:Her something hopeful: Zero O'Clock sad ballad- The Truth Untold Jazzy- 134340 R&B- I Like It Latin- Airplaine pt. 2 rock- Ma City house- So What fuck the system- Baepsae (Silver Spoon) young love- Blanket Kick sad love- Dead Leaves EDM- Fire haunting- Louder Than Bombs comfort- Magic Shop and I'm not really sure what genre Pied Piper is, but boy do I love Pied Piper, lol BTS has I think around 200 songs, and then they each have solo projects they've worked on, and all 3 rappers have mixtapes as well! They have an unreal amount of content, and I hope if you continue to listen to them, you enjoy their music!

Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole! Suga, one of the members said that "you'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice", and I can see that your are very honest and open-minded in your reaction! BTS does not fit in a box and cannot be confined to one genre since they want to expand their horizons and explore various different sounds and styles. Thus their fans range in all ages and come from all around the world since there is something in their discography for everyone. Through them I have also discovered songs/genres that I previously may not have listened to. The guys also write and produce a lot of their own music and are very hard-working (once seen as the underdogs in South Korea and signed to a label on the verge of bankruptcy). They have come a long way from there, but they are still very grounded and humble. They are genuine and truly love their fans. They try to spread positivity and awareness through their music and initiatives, which is why they have such a large, diverse and loyal fanbase. After all, what other "boy bands" do you know that have been invited to speak at the UN general assembly twice? ;) When you check out the music video for Idol, it will look very colourful and random, but there is actually a deep meaning behind it. So once you watch it, I recommend that you also watch the explanation video by DKDKTV. Also, they have a remix of this song ft. Nicki Minaj so check out that version of the MV too :)

They have over 200+ songs you can choose from depends on what genre you want to hear. They cover just about every style of music even hardcore raps, r&b and neo souls. Also their fans are not just teen girls. You will be surprised to find out how wide range of demographic fans they have. People often have prenotion and brush them off first just because they are a boy group from unknown country and have pretty faces. However, if you look into a bit more about who they are you will find out they are not like any other boy band you've known so far. I myself am a 62 yrs young fan and never been into any boy band nor anybody before.

Thank you for this positive and genuine (not clout chasing) reaction! I like to believe they chose this song, setting & outfit on purpose for their first Jimmy Fallon stage because there were quite a lot of xenophobic reactions when it was announced they would be performing. IDOL is all about them being proud of who they are and telling haters to fk off. They really embrace their Korean culture and this song has a lot of traditional Korean elements to it. I recommend you check out Mic Drop and UGH if you want more hip hop or Daechwita (this one is a solo but a lot of first time BTS reactors tend to fall deeper into the BTS rabbit hole after listening to this one because it's not some stereotypical boyband music). I also recommend ON and Black Swan, some of their newer stuff. Their discography has a very large range. BTS doesn't have a specific sound other than just "good music" and I wouldn't say they cater to a specific audience either. They just make music that they like and will get their messages across. Maybe check out John Cena's short BTS blurb from his recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon. He puts the reason why so many love BTS in an easily digestible manner. Fun fact: they practice singing while running on treadmills, hence the on-point vocals while dancing that hard

Hi, some things about this boys. *Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop. Kpop ist a genre and bts are know for their great repertoire of genres. Kpop is an industry in Korea, and not all singers/rappers/musicians in Korea are "kpop" 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce in all their albums, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) used to read a books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul: 7" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Murray. 4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres but their base is very hiphop / rap. Also you can find subtitles in every possible language thanks to the fans, u only need to search with the name of the song or Activate cc. **Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals.

They do use autotune here and there but it is for the 'effect' and style of the song, not to cover or alter their voices.... they often goof around in "behind the scenes" style videos and such and sing without any music or microphones (other than those picking up their voices for the video) and you can clearly hear the tone and quality.... I am 50 and i've never seen a group of talented guys like these guys. Period. Thanks again! Hope you check out more. Their discography is very diverse and extensive. Enjoy!

There is a remix of this song with Nicki Minaj. If you want to watch that dont forget the cc. Their lyrics are always the best. Also the fandom Army is a very divorce fandom. Most of us are in their 30s 40s. And they also have a very big % of male fans. You can watch This is BTS an intoduction to BTS part 1 or Nobodies to Legends 2019 by xceleste to get to know them more if you want.

In kpop they have a training period which results in pretty high stamina so that they can sing/ rap while dancing. They have also been know to train singing while running on a treadmill to practice breath control etc 😊

I suggest either Armypedia or Tiny Desk ...there is no choreo for those particular performances but you get to hear their live stripped down vocals of a few of their songs, chill atmosphere and their personalities shine through. Also the songs from Armypedia are from really early on in their career.

Idol is a blend of Korean and African beats and the leg dance move is called the Gwara Gwara, a South African dance. This song’s lyrics addressing BTS’ haters (especially allot of racists and xenophobes diss them allot because they’re Asian). They are wearing traditional Hanboks and filmed at Korean Palace, it’s like They’re saying to haters, doesn’t matter what you think of me because we’re proud to be Korean, our culture is Awesome and we’re killing it (BTS are at #1 on billboard 100 USA for three weeks now with their song “Dynamite” and constantly breaking Worldwide records). Lyrics “I know who I am, I know what I want, I’m never gonna trade....cuz you can’t stop me loving myself!” BTS are different from other bands cuz those boy bands only sang and tiny dance moves, they didn’t rap and dance at a skilled level like BTS. Also BTS mixes different genres of music and also talk about socio-political issues, class division, mental health awareness, psychology, literature, philosophy, self-love and empowerment. They also train like athletes and sing while on treadmill as part of their performance training that’s why they are so good live. And their live performances are MJ level amazing-BTS are on another level!! BTS fans are diverse all the way -60’s+. I’m in my 30’s btw, and my brother in his 20’s introduced me to BTS. I think you will like “ON Kinetic Manifesto Film” and “Fake Love” MV’s.

I'm glad you enjoyed their performance. BTS is known foe their stage presence. It is missing one key element and that's ARMY (their fans). When you have 60,000 people singing "You can't stop me loving myself" it's powerful. BTS discography is full of hits, they have a performance every night this week on Jimmy Fallon. T recommended watching their iHeart Radio performance that took place last month. Also if you get a chance you should checkout some of their lyrics, their songs usually have a deeper message.

THANK YOU SIR, thank you so much. BTS and Army love people who respect diversity, and cultural differences

One thing about BTS: > they are NOT your typical boy band by any means ( no offense to other boy bands out there) > their demographics would shock you - they managed to capture young kids, young girls ( that would be expected right?) but also serious hip hop lovers, heavy metal heads, women and men of ages you would never think possible, given they are a "boy band"; their fandom called Army is most varied you can probably come across ( all races, all ethic backgrounds, all sexes, all musical tastes, all ages). Army even has subcategories like "Army moms", "Kpop dads" , "Army seniors" lol. Their music is honest, sincere, incredibly well done, , experimental, constantly evolving, deep and healing, that´s why 25% of their fan base is 40+. There is a real SUBSTANCE to them, they address issues that truly matter to people. They do not usually sing about money, drug, sex, pretty ladies and all that stuff that you see everywhere else. They better peoples lives, they save peoples lives. Who does that? You do not find anything like that anywhere else in Kpop, or in pop.

BTS are the best! I'm so happy to see you finally reacting to them. I think you would be surprised by the fan demographic. I would suggest you react to BTS 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima or a solo project of one of the members Agust D 'Daechwita'. If you haven't seen the latter video, as a music lover, you are truly missing out. After seeing both those and you can still say you are not a fan, I wouldn't probably believe you!😁

Start with the rapline in the group. I seriously recommend you listen to OUTRO TEAR, UGH AND DAAENG. The DKDKTV explanation videos are recommended on the last two suggestions because it will show you their brilliant lyricism and multiple meanings and symbolism. Watch the lyric videos first with English translations and then live performances because they are fire! Then you should watch their MMA 2018 and 2019 PERFORMANCES BECAUSE THEY ARE EPIC! Seriously... MICHAEL JACKSON LEVEL BRILLIANCE 🤯👌💯🔥🙌♨️ You won’t regret it. Also fandom demographic is not what you think it to be. Watch the XCeleste video on this particular subject because it is backed up with facts. Let’s just say fans in the 30 to 40’s age demographic are higher and male fans account for over 30% 😎

bts's discography is huge and they have songs for every single taste, the first thing you need to know is that there is 7 members, 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, now to a little list of recommendations if you like rap/hip hop: outro tear (only the 3 rappers in it) if you like ballads: zero o'clock (only the 4 vocalists in it) if you like a mix of both but leaning more in the singing: magic shop if you like a mix of both but leaning more to the rap: mic drop if you like edm: so what if you like r&b: I need you if you like more of a rock/pop vibe: fake love if you like more pop: boy with luv if you like mellow edm: let go if you like songs with synth: louder than bombs like I said, they have songs in almost every genre, you should really pull up their discography from spotify and just listen haha I guarantee you'll find some that really fits your type

It isn't hard to figure out that it is impossible for BTS to have a fanbase comprising of only young teenage girls. BTS' mots:7 is the best-selling album in 2020, Dynamite is the bestselling song, their concert stadium venues sold out in minutes, their official merchs are always sold out, any product they endorse sold out including massage chairs and cars. Any fashion they wear, frequently too. And then there is the usd 1 million donation by fans for BLM raised within a day. This monetary power comes primarily from older age groups, the working and monied set. The majority of BTS' fans are in their 30s, 40s of both genders. Thank you for the reaction, looking forward to seeing more. 💜
