I believe one of you said something about speed being irrelevant if Thanos has the space gem. Not true if you factor in reaction times. In order for Darkseid to be able to control being octillions of times faster than Thanos, he'd have to have a proportional reaction time. So if Thanos were to use the gem to teleport, chances are Darkseid would be able to react and strike before Thanos even realizes that he's arrived. I made the same argument against instant transmission in Supes vs. Goku way back.

By using these seemingly useless numbers, we now know that Darkseid's slowest potential reaction time is octillions of times faster than Thanos'. Oddly I think this varies. DC's top end heroes and villains (powerwise) are more powerful than Marvels but I'd say Marvel's street level characters tend to be more powerful than DCs. This being because Marvel tends to give superpowers to almost everyone whereas DC has more characters that are either unpowered or have very low end powers.

Back when Marvel and DC were on more playful terms, they had numerous crossovers, where Captain America met Batman, Superman met Spider-Man, etc. One of them had cosmic beings putting about a dozen or so items from each universe in the other universe, and seeing whether the Avengers or Justice League could get more of them first. Well, one of those items in question was the Infinity Gauntlet. Which was found on Apokalypse, they actually showed it there. Darkseid was wearing it, saying something alone the lines of "Is this trinket what you're after? Take it, it's worthless, it's power doesn't work here." Fun fact, because of those crossovers, Hawkeye is the only character to have been both a member of the Avengers AND the Justice League

Retnuh Knight I’m not sure if you’re referring to the Deathbattle fights or the actual universes the comics are in but overall Marvel has more powerful characters and concepts such as reality warpers like Franklin Richards, Mad Jim Jaspers, The Marquis of Death, etc. That doesn’t mean DC doesn’t have their own powerhouses. It’s just they don’t have as many which is fine since that’s not really the focus at times.

Death Battle's Thanos is the one the MCU's version SHOULD'VE been. A man who's madly in love with death (both the concept of it and the Angel of Death,) feels that all life is meaningless and revels in causing suffering. Darkseids avatar did that on his own. Basically his avatars are weaker parts of him with completely seperate thoughts, similar personalities and the same mind Its kind of like a pet for true darkseid basically. The avatar probably thought if he got the gauntlet he could have all the power within that universe. Even if his true form is above the gauntlet his avatars can probably never be universal.

Completely OP, while Marvel characters have alqays retained more weaknesses, either in character or in strength. It's the same as comparing Quicksilver to the Flash... Jack Kirby created both Darkseid and Thanos. Jack himself stated Thanos was nothing like Thanos, but more like the new god Metron. Later Marvel tried copying Darkseid traits on to Thanos. But Thanos would never be or beat Darkseid. Thanos is a want a be. As for the Thanos helicopter is was an easter egg. Thanos had one in the first comics.

If considered Thanos wasn't that much evil as darkseid .Thanos only wanted for the balance of the universe and was converted into a bad guy because of a girl .But darkseid was pure evil from the beginning . darkseid became darkseid by killing his own brother and that is pure evil .Thanos only kills half the population and scares the rest so that he could rule over them while darkseid didn't even let any body in his way live and kills everybody he tries to stop them. .so darkseid is more evil than darkseid and powerful
