It's probably not on purpose, but you refer to Crona as a boy in this recording. The episode states multiple times that Crona's gender is unspecified, and thus should have the pronouns they/them. There are multiple official Soul Eater statements that back this up.

Yeeeeeeah since King in Black came out exactly a month or two after this fight and Eddie took Knull’s place as Symbiote god, the result of this fight just flat out aged poorly. (Not that it wasn’t correct before it’s just that the episode came out at a REALLY bad time for the inevitable DB curse to kick in)
