Best self-empowerment song: I am the Fire by Halestorm. I’m surprised that I don’t see them in the reaction videos. They’re the first female fronted band to win a Grammy in a metal category. When my mom was diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer and I was falling apart, my friend told me to play that song again and he said to me “Bobbi, don’t you know? You ARE the fire! You can do this.” Those words and that song have helped me survive so much the past four years. Unfortunately, just a few months after my friend gave me those words of encouragement, I was explaining to a pastor why another Halestorm song meant so much to me, and why i needed to have Dear Daughter played at Mom’s funeral. That’s one of their slower songs, with Lzzy Hale playing piano as well as singing. One of the lines I play over and over in my head is “Dear Daughter, I was just like you. And just like me you’re gonna make it through.” It reminds me that Mom survived losing her parents, made it through being a single, teenage mom in the 70’s, made it through stage 3 Hodgkins, made it through so much until the radiation destroyed her heart valves and lungs. And then I have to play the first song: “Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough?
To follow the desire
That burns from within
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
I am through with this
Cuz I am more than this...” Seriously, you should do a reaction for I am the Fire, Lzzy’s vocals will blow you away! And play Dear Daughter for your daughter.

This song, according to Demi, perfectly captures how Demi's relationship with their ex-fiance, Wilmer(I believe his name is), ended. Demi wasn't ready for marriage and I did learn that Wilmer used Demi for attention. That's what I've read. I've seen other reactors be so dense and not realize it wasn't him that left the alter, that was in Demi's head, it was actually Demi that walked away. Also this song reminds me that people need to learn how to love themselves before letting someone else love you. "Erik", and I read this in a comment, is Nick Jonas(Demi's decade long friend since Disney), and I don't know all the details on that. I'm assuming Wilmer didn't like that, I guess. I can understand why dudes feel weird that another man is close to the girl, because the dude could be a problem. I don't have experience with this, so I'm just guessing. I think if you trust each other you should be okay, I think. I've never experienced that and I don't have male friends, the last male friend I had was when I was 8 years old. 5:40- I don't know Demi's business like that. I did watch Simply Complicated(Demi's documentary, which I only saw once), but I don't really know much of Wilmer. All I know is that they were engaged, and broke it off. That's it. 9:15- That's why there's elopement, but that's not what this song is about anyway. 9:52- You're not getting the picture. It was never about the wedding. The main message is about loving yourself completely, BEFORE surrendering yourself to another person. I'm guessing Demi struggled with self love in their life(Me too). Self love is a process I'm still trying to conquer, not there yet. I hope Demi is doing better.
