Depends on angel and how you hit the water, as if you go in feet first in a well made suit you split the water instead of taking it on full force, if you hit it flat stomach first you have a much smaller chance of surviving.

They never said she's not a Star Craft player, they said she's not exclusively a StarCraft 2 Pro. Meaning while she certainly played the game, she's played other games professionally. The stated reason for this 'clarification' was that they wanted the games she played pro to offer a skillset closer to that of piloting her mekka. It had nothing to do with 'removing' StarCraft from her repertoire. Just focusing her skillset.

That's what I said. The change in the lore was simply about her primary skill set (the game(s) she DID go pro with) being something closer to piloting/shooting, rather than RTS. She still played StarCraft, and was still famously good at it, and it is still one of her favorite games, even if she didn't play it professionally. One just needs to listen to her interactions with characters in Heroes of the Storm to get an immediate sense of how important that game is to her.

It's a common misconception that Jeff Kaplan is the one who changed D.VA's background, but it was actually Michael Chu (Lead "Writer" for Overwatch) who retconned her to no longer be a Starcraft World Champion, although she apparently does play the game.

I cried on this. I cried because D’Va was such a hero that she self sacrificed assuming but not truly knowing she’d survive the overload. Fell into the ocean and obviously had injuries. Still positive and upbeat and getting ready to do it again.

Are there any overwatch skins that are related to blizzard? no, but the blizzard world map and all the other blizzard-related things in overwatch seem to favor my point. while I don't have a vide of Kaplan saying anything about it (cause I don't keep that shit on hand) I'm sure its out there. you claim that Kaplan said there all in the same universe do you have proof of that? if not then there is literally no other proof for your claim..

Blizzardworld is a real location in Overwatch, so therefore Blizzard games(sans Overwatch) exist within Overwatch. HotS isn't canon to any universe(but it's own), and Jeff hasn't said anything that would imply that either.

This felt like Evangelion takes place in Korea. You got mechs. You got pilots. You got angels(omnics) that come at set time and look different.

This is how I interpret the short. Hana is being used by the news media and the government as a symbol of hope and peace to satiate and calm the masses. They arrange for her to be in the spotlight, and take advantage of her completely by doing so. Hana is fond of Dae hyun because he's the only one who is 100% genuine with her. He tells her things no one else would "Yeah, and you almost killed yourself!" "Stop putting it all on yourself. It's okay to ask for help." He doesn't worship her like everyone else does, and she appreciates that dearly. In fact, I believe Hana has a lot of insecurities that are revealed in this short. She doesn't rely on her own skill to win a race, she modifies the hover board to win. The news reported that she was the only one to remain functional after the previous fight with the enemy robots (what were they called?), but it probably wasn't because she had performed the best (in fact it's heavily implied that she made a huge mistake during the fight). Also by the fact that she was obsessed in making sure her meka was perfect and didn't go on leave are more signs of insecurity. I think Hana is actually addicted to the risk of conflict and winning competition. Notice her expression when she was launching her Meka? That's not normal for someone who is putting their life on the line in a war fight. I'm certain she used gaming to overcome her insecurities, and she never could stop herself, not even now as she fights in real life threatening conflict. She needs to win to believe in herself, and Dae hyun wants to make her feel validated and secure without relying on her victories to do so (of course he has some very strong insecurities as well). It's really an interesting relationship - she makes him feel insecure by her success in the way she deals with insecurity, while he tries to feel secure by having her listen to his advice and become secure through him. She kinda has the advantage over him, though, as she knows the the glitz and glamour food is actually terrible, and she keeps him in the dark with how badly he wants to dine where the heroes dine.

She said no one else would make it on time. From what we could see the mechs would be there in like five minutes .. and the other team members would have had to get there, get in the building, get in their mechs, and then race out. They had nowhere near the time to help unless they were on base.

Contrary to popular belief, a defibrilator does nothing to a flatlined (asystole) heart. It only helps to recover from irregular heart rhythm (ventricular fibrilation or tachycardia).

Ok, I've actually been to Busan. I'm interested in seeing how they futurize it for Overwatch. Nice reaction vid! And, I agree, finally one that's not saddening!

You can see the doctor was holding up paddles so he must have restarted Hana's heart. Although officially she won unharmed without a scratch in reality she broke an arm and a leg at least, probably a miracle she survived that blast. If you try to play DVa at all you know she can't win a 1 v 6 so it was basically a suicide mission when she engaged alone. This story tells of how often she is close to death and she has cheated death many times yet continues to fight undeterred, it speaks of her character. In this cinematic I count four times she nearly died, first she was the only survivor in the last encounter where her whole team was wiped out; she nearly died in a race when her hover bike overloaded; she fought off a Kishine attack single-handed by detonating her own mech to save the city; and finally she survived a mid-air eject and crash into the ocean without protective gear, you can see she had to be rescued and brought back to life by a team of doctors. And through it all she asks for no special treatment and seems to hide from her own celebrity preferring instead to spend her time servicing her "meka". (This cinematic feels lower budget than previous ones but I still like it). Yay Panser! = )

No her other pilots are alive, hinted at by the interview with all of them injured and Dae Hyun telling her to wait for backup, so they would live. I doubt the hover board overloading would have killed her especially if Dae Hyun can make jokes about it. And the last 2 count as one btw.

that must be the old Defense matrix, that lastested way longer than 4 seconds :P hehe but this is such a great short. that is also why she pops out of her mech like she shoots the reactor when you do a self destruct, she has to shoot it to blow it up. it's also very awkward to watch how much in love Dejan is with Hana lol, it's so obvious that he is in the Friend Zone :P Dva's "do it yourself" mentality is also reflected in the game. she is one of the few heroes that can single handedly kill the entire enemy team, I have a video of an example of that on my channel :) but yeah Dva is also one of my favorite heroes to play. Honestly, if BFA ever becomes boring I might go back to Overwatch full time. for now it's on hold.
