[REACTION] Eurovision 2017 Recap of ALL Songs

Eurovision video blogger, Alesia Michelle is joined by Shawn B to rundown ALL the songs competing in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Shawn and Alesia shared their top five at the start of the month but there are SO MANY new songs to get a taste of. Here are the reactions to the Eurovision 2017 recap.
ESC 2017 has a mix of songs, some strong like Sweden and Italy... Some tracks are nostalgic like Portugal and others are a little more wild like Lithuania. Get our take on the ESC 2017 playing field. Iceland is my favourite, and it just gets better with each listen. I like Belgium and Macedonia too, but if Iceland has some creative staging up it's sleeve, I think you'd see it in the top 10 or even top 5.

In a fantasy world, it'll be a Belgium, Macedonia, Italy, Portugal, and UK top 5, with the UK most likely at 5th. Bulgaria, Australia, and Azerbaijan all in that mix as well, but we'll see... Romania's styling is bad, but the song is actually quite good. I'm not a fan of Sweden's song itself, but the staging great; I wouldn't be surprised if it finishes in the top 5, but I wouldn't want it to win.

I really love the Portuguese entry! It's really different, so classy, but in a way very unique. My number one!Most of the songs that I liked (France, Belgium, fyr macedonia, Azerbaijan)disappointed me a lot seeing them live. Austria, Sweden or Montenegro are simple songs, but work perfectly on stage. Really do not like: Croatia, Slovenia, San Marino, Lithuania.

Sarah Herzog Alma has really improved her live over the last few pre-parties, so I expect her to do pretty well in Kyiv. Macedonia just needs to choose the right backing singers to ensure her voice sounds similar to the studio version. I don't expect Blanche to be simple on stage, which will be much more dynamic in Kyiv. I'm on the fence with Azerbaijan, but it's gonna take effort on the sound mixers to accommodate her change in volume. I'm surprised Jacques from Croatia hasn't done any lives, since that's a song we'd NEED to see live in case it doesn't work. San Marino can work on their staging, but the Siegal-ness of the track is starting to shine through in a not-so-good way... haha. Robin sounds good, but the song is nothing without its staging. I think that's gonna prevent it from winning, since most winning songs can stand alone from its staging. If we're using that criteria, Italy can really pull away.

+Justin Kanda Agree with you. Let's see what will happen. The staging is so important, sometimes you just need a spotlight and a good voice, in case of Sweden a lot of effort is needed to cover the obvious lack of creativity. You are right, the Siegel-touch makes the song of San Marino even worser. They are both good singers, but this is really overdone. Enjoy the contest!

I have been watching your videos and i really like you, you both are so funny and lovely xD Talking about eurovision, this is my opinion: Albania - I like her voice but i prefer the albanian version of the song Armenia - this song has grown for me but is not one of my favourites Australia - I love it! For me is just a perfect and well done song. Its better than Guy Sebastian but is not better than Dami Im Austria - This song sounds so familiar to me! I think that is the most radio friendly song of this year Azerbaijan - I love this!!! For me is the best azeri entry ever! Belarus - Its not bad but I feel tired of this song quickly Belgium - I love this so much and thats it! I just love! Bulgaria - Love this song also! Croatia - Sorry, i don't like this song so much but is not the worst of the competition Cyprus - Ok entry, not my favourite Czech Republic - I think that this song is ok but is something missing Denmark - I think that the better thing of this is the live performance. I love Anja vocals! Estonia - I actually like this! Give me some kind of nostalgia. Finland - I'm not gonna lie! I love it! France - I like it, but i like the 100% french version more. I tried but for me the english chorus sound so weird in a french catchy song, but still a good entry! FYR Macedonia - I love it, is so sweet and really catchy! Germany - I like Levina, she deserves a better song! Georgia - Oh god! This is my bottom! This song annoys me so much! Its a shame because Tamara has a really good voice! Greece - A lot of people love this but for me... This is not good for me... sorry Greece, but this is a poor pop cliché! Hungary - I love this!! Its different! Iceland - And my 12 points goes to... I don't know what to think of Romania. I guess one can say that they're known for coming up with weird songs. I say that remembering the entry they had a few years ago. I think it was 2013 with that guy singing in a high pitched voice.

yulia is now banned to enter ukraine due to a gig she did in crimea in 2015, ebu offered russia to still participate by live satelite link broadcasted from russia, however russia declined and now wont take part, however russia has stated yulia will represent them in 2018 instead

Big advantage for The Netherlands is that there isn't a lot of ballads in semi 2, they are all in semi 1... I really hope they will put NL after Romania, they will sing Romania off the stage. And yeah i agree about Sweden, copy-paste the NF performance and top 3 guaranteed, big credits for Sweden for always having ESC ready performances.

Israel 2017....To ALL the haters out there... This song is amazing, refreshing, making u happy and wanna dance with all these beautiful people and TEL AVIV is gorgeous!!! so stop hate Imri who is really really cute and very nice raspy voice, great melody very catchy and if people will judge NOT politically which often happens when it comes to Israel, this song should definitely qualified and I think Top 5 !
