i don't like the way u compare him with GD because they are totally different, especially their music. In fact, Hua Chen Yu doesn't like to be called as an idol singer, he is a musician, and singing is the way he expresses his music (cause no one can perform his song as perfect as he wants). His favorite style is psychedelic rock. Even the fashion styles are different too. Hua Chen Yu just don't care about what he can wear on the stage, he bought clothes as a pack of dozen same type t-shirt and can keep wearing one cloth in 10 years, he even bought a second hands clothes to wear because he likes it although his family is super rich. btw, his hands moving in the this performance is matched with the lyrics itself and it relates to the original song by Jay Chou.

Jang Amparna yeah, i do understand why you found him alike GD. I am a kpop fan for a long time ago, and Huahua’s fan too. I understand that you called him GD of China because of his rapping that he added into the song. I respect your point of view. But I just want to make sure that lots of HuaHua fans dont like their idol to be compared no matters it is showbiz or not. Maybe this is the first time you reacted to his song (his cover actually). If you listen to some of his actual song, I’m sure that you will find the complete difference between two of them. I mean really no offense to anyone, and no offense to you too. I watched this whole video and I enjoyed it. I am now just giving some of my opinions.

I do respect both of your opinions. I go with my first instinct and so does with the title because thats how hua chenyu totally broke in to my mind. Im sure if i watch him more, then i will see more of his artistry and quanta.

Jang Amparna, I would say this is completely different from Jay Chou's Nunchuks as Hua Chen Yu re-composed 2/3 of this entire song, and it totally comes out as a brand new song. The hand gesture is Chinese Opera and a mix of Tai Chi.

I think Hua Chenyu is a versatile singer who can adopt to any genre but shows extra special with rock songs. His innocent appearance is contradict to his fierce and strong performance. he has a large scope of market esp. girls and youth.

He came into the contest later than the other contestants. I 1/2nt (haven’t) watched last weeks episode yet. The other 4 episodes he has sung in he has come 1st. At the end of each week the powers that b holds a mini court and they 1/2 voted on diff aspects of the weeks performances. Last week a new young male singer was introduced. I really liked what he did, merging the old and new styles of singing. I remember my late grandfather, who was ofcourse, a full blooded chinese and a Xiamen native, would do the exact same thing..yung matinis na pagkanta, hand gestures and graceful movements, this made me a bit emotional yet happy at the same time :-)definitely a cutie also, pero syempre mas cute si lilboykyut ❤:-)good morning and happy Sunday!

Thank you for making this reaction video Jang :) About this song "Shuangjiegun" if you know the original version from Jay Chou, which is very famous to all the Chinese people, Hua really made a big change. It was a song full of rap, Hua added his own idea into it. The singing part is a little bit like Beijing Opera, it softens the song to make more people enjoy it.
