by the way, you say you think they did Robin Williams dirty and while the last line definitely alludes to what he did, I think it's more symbolic of setting himself free of pain. It also alludes to his character (Genie) setting himself free from the genie lamp in Alladin. I don't think it was meant to be malicious.
@terencemcgeown23585 жыл бұрын
Suicidemisnt setting yourself free. It's making those around you suffer. It's the most selfish act anyone can ever do. I had a good friend and a cousin committ suicide. I didn't attend either funeral, nor will I ever attend any other suicide funerals, even if it's a parent or one of my own children..
@FilthAndRuin5 жыл бұрын
It definitely wasn't malicious. EpicLloyd realized studying for the rap that a lot of his comedy styling came from Robin (if you watch the behind the scenes), so it's especially from a place of love.
@AwesomeMcCoolname15 жыл бұрын
@@terencemcgeown2358 That's really hard-hearted considering that suicide victims just want the pain to stop. Also, I feel the need to point out that there are lots of things more selfish than suicide. Robbery, murder and sexual assault are just three examples of more selfish acts.
@Kampsycho5 жыл бұрын
@@AwesomeMcCoolname1 I think ppl say Suicide is more Selfish because, If you Kill somebody, you took them from their loved ones, if you steal something you took something from somebody, assault is just bad and causes trauma and you steal their trust from you and everybody else. But Suicide...? You take yourself away from your own Loved ones, nobody else but you did the act and there was no room to help you nor anybody else to blame or call guilty. and it could just lead to one of the people affected by this taking their own life right after or dying due to depression. Just recently 2 elderly couples got robbed and suffered from trauma from it, the Man died shortly from the anxiety and fear, and the wife followed right after :[ Basically no matter the pain you have, Once you end it yourself, it doesn't end there it will spread to your own loved ones... So it's selfish, Any Killer can Kill somebody, go to Jail, learn from their mistake and find their way back into society through prayer and guidance, But Suicide there isn't any room for the victim or their loved ones, So it;s just a selfless act, ending it all knowing full well it will affect others who knew you, and anybody who may have caused it will just feel guilt even if it wasn't really their fault at all.

@@EternalStorm796 It's called "recency bias". Robin died more recently than the others, so the the wound is more fresh, and therefore they'll give him the win no matter what. It's natural human nature, really. If you take an unbiased look at it, as a rap battle where you're supposed to hit hard at your opponent, Joan won hands down. She tore everybody up. Robin was definitely second, though. I was actually very disappointed with their portrayal of George Carlin. All those decades of brilliance to take from, and all they could manage was a play off the 7 Dirty Words bit and some fairly weak shit about Gene Wilder?

I think the "Gotta set myself free!" line is kind of a triple entendre. The obvious meaning of freeing himself from the battle, and just leaving, plus the sad connotation of him freeing himself from his struggles, but ALSO at the end of Aladdin, the prince wished for the Genie to be free! Of course the one meaning that everyone caught being the sad one is really unfortunate, but I think it's an extremely clever line.
