Yes, I know I did a reaction video to The Warning doing a cover of Hysteria by Muse a few months ago but once I saw this video of Ale just playing the bass line without the band I couldn't pass this opportunity up! This is such a great bass line by a great bass player it deserves it's own reaction video!

She's a largely unrecognized essential part of I think the best PURE rock band to come along in a long time. They are a unit. No show offs. No 15 minute guitar or drum solos. Just great material played well.

A fan who has jammed with the band, on Ale’s bass, shared some inside info on her set up. Apparently she has a high action. He said it took him a while to get used to it. You would think such a petite young lady would prefer as little an action as possible. She must possess some serious strength, to accompany her obviously wonderful technique! Bass legend in the making. 🤘🏻😎

Hey DeLuca, great reaction to an incredibly talented young lady. The Warning had done a showcase performance at their school in Monterrey 5 years ago, where the girls picked a song that would highlight each of their instruments. Ale at age 10 picked this one and incorporated a unique left hand playing style. During their Quarantine Show in March they were talking about their rehearsal/home studio space and all the covers they had practiced in there, Ale was asked if she still remembered Hysteria. Well of course she did, well her muscle memory did anyway... LoL!!! A few months later I think she was asked on IG to play it again... I've been a drummer for 35 years and discovered The Warning about two years ago. I thought Pau (Paulina) was a very talented and dynamic drummer but Ale (Alejandra)was something extra special. She has an incredible sense of time and composes her basslines to augment Dany (Daniela) guitar and fill out the sound of the band. She inspired me to buy a bass and learn to play it. It's hard to believe that at the age of 15 she almost has her 10 000 hours in. Oh yeah, She was gifted two Spector basses two years ago by a very generous fan, a white Euro IV and the black Euro IV Rachel Bolan she played in this video. The white Spector was given away as a reward for their latest Kickstarter earlier this year. Spector is now building her a custom 5 string that she has been patiently waiting for though covid19... If you get a chance check out the song she wrote and composed when she was 9 called Take Me Down. It was a challenge to the group by her bass instructor to write their own songs and record them. Thank you for the reaction. Great one! Bass players are always underrated. ;) And Ale is one of the most talented and hard working players (especially at age 15) out there. You cannot underrate a bass player in a three member band because the basic sound is done by the bass with the guitar shifting between lead and rhythm guitar. And if the bass player is as good as Ale you can be successful with just one guitar. They will rock the stages for ages.

She first played this with the rest of the band 5-6 years ago when she was 8-9 years old, so she knows this bass line. Ale’s first 2 Spector bass guitar’s were donated by a fan, She is I believe the young musician officially endorsed by Spector. Spector is making a 5 string bass for her right now. I’m sure some other fans can give you links to when The Warning covered this song years ago.

holydado Spector recently added an 11 year old to their official artist list. He is not in a band, but does some wonderful pieces. He is more of a jazz, and funk player. Check his stuff out, it is very good.

Hi DeLuca! Thanks for your reaction to Ale's playing Hysteria bass line. I have been following your reactions since I sent you the first Hysteria, played when Ale was about 9 yo. Today, I would like your opinion about Ale's stage presence. When playing the Bass , she develops a "dance", that I love to watch! Here is a video of the band playing "Atlas Rise" last year at the Whisky a Gogo, and the camera was mostly following Ale. That was a 21 song set, and this was the encore.
