REACTION| iKON Leader B.I - Part 1

"I'm sorry about everything.. but nothing will change, I'll keep on feeling sorry" :( Our one and only leader Kim Hanbin. His ferocity at the mere age of 16 stood out to me the most when I watched WIN all those years ago. I stanned so many other groups who were very much... produced products by their company... seeing a 16 year old trainee... writing songs, writing lyrics, creating choreographs, arranging stage performances and actually being a leader for his group was unbelievable to me. That's when I realized what real raw talent was. iKON aren't filming reality shows anymore so this fierce look is deeply missed by the iKONIC fandom, we get snippets of it from behind the scenes but the iKON members are always the first to say that Hanbin has never changed. This professionalism, this ferocity is still maintained til this day. Hanbin is truly the best leader, the most talented and loyal person I have ever laid my eyes on.

#FYI (it's a long read) Hanbin turned 17 (October 22) in this survival show so before the final he was 16. imagine a 16 years old boy being a leader of the group + produce music + choreograph. 16 years old. Jinhwan was 19. Yunhyeong was 18. Bobby was 17 (turned 18 in December 21). he became the SMTM3 champion in 2014 when he was 18. the youngest champion. the only idol who ever won. Donghyuk & Junhoe were 16 too (their birthday is in January and March). actually based on age Junhoe is the maknae. but bcuz Donghyuk was the last one to join Team B and also Junhoe is never act like a maknae, they consider Donghyuk as the maknae 😂 everyone except Yunhyeong dropped from school and only took GED test later. but now some of them are college students ^^ Bobby major in Fashion related. Yunhyeong was a student of Hanlim Art School (a very famous high school with many idol in it/graduated from this school), major in acting. but he didn't attend the graduation ceremony bcuz he focused on this show/training. anyways I love your reactions of iKON. OMG! Finally!! We actually saw Hanbin's intimidating aura last Sunday. His stares, the way he stands, gosh!! He could really make you follow him in an instant. He even asked Bobby to tell us that we should take our phones down or else they will not continue with the performance. But we find it hot tho. Hahahaha! He said he wants to see our faces and not our phones. iKON's concert was the best thing that happened to me this year! 😍😍😍

K- Subs it's in the philippines 😁😁 where they're expecting 6,000 attendees only but ended up opening seats until the last minute before the concert and gathered 18,000 attendees. there's sooo many fans who can't attend bec the tickets were sold out and i'm one of them 😭😭😭😭😭

(1) During WIN you will often see Team B wearing a black ring on their fingers... those were their friendship ring that the boys bought for themselves during this era. In one of the unreleased cuts of WIN, there is a scene where the boys are talking about it being the sign of their friendship and connection to each other. It could be one of the reasons why on their 1st anniversary, YG gifted them their official (gold) team rings. (2) As YG Trainees, they do live all together even prior to the show starting. The moment they enter YG as a trainee they leave their homes and live in the dorms with the members. During MIX&MATCH, they transfered to a bigger apartment, the one in which the "lower dorm" boys live at the moment. (3) I agree with you, as painful for all iKONICs WIN was, we also acknowledge that it was a blessing in disguise because losing in WIN has iKON gain our adorable maknae Chanwoo.

I don't know if you noticed it in the video but if you observe closely every time B.I has problems Jay and Bobby are seen beside him. That is because the 3 of them are the first members of iKON with 1. B.I 2. Jay 3. Bobby. They are called "Triple Kim" by iKONics. The rest of the members look up to them as the front runners of the group, when and if B.I isn't around the members then look for the other two. And recently Song has risen up to that status as you have seen in iKONTV if there are internal problems that all members can't solve it is Song that acts as the mediator of that problem hence why the members also call him the hidden leader.

It was from this loss that Hanbin composed Empty (Winner’s debut single). If you read the lyrics, you will know... but Hanbin has stated that he was really depressed and couldn’t stop crying after it... Hanbin appears strong.. seems so strong .. but people forget he only just turned 17 when they were lost. At the time there was no guarantee that Team B would stay as they are.. (as seen in mix and match).. his way to protect his team was to seriously start writing good songs.. and the rest is history 😭

I've been missing a lot! And came back for this? My heart. I think all I can think of to add or comment has been mentioned already in other comments, I can only say that this is the major reason I love this young man so much. He's truly a strong person, with a fierce determination, resilence and passion. And above all, he puts his absolute everything in for his group. And the same way he gives his all, the group pushes back in kind to help him through. istg they're all so beautiful, precious, precious boys. I usually don't waver after I find a bias, and this was no exception. Hanbin is such a strong, intense presence and such an admirable example of hardwork. He's mellowed down a little since, he's relaxed, he's not so on edge I think, but he holds the same passion and determination... geez, it's been a while since I watched these clips and my heart is hurting right now and I'm not making much sense. Where am I even going with this? I'm sorry, but yeah, I also watched both WIN and M&M long after they were out and about as iKON, and it still made me cry. I swear there's a before and after those shows, it cemented my love for them and particularly my absolute admiration and appreciation for Hanbin.

I remembered at that time, Team B was my fave, but lost, and I cried 😢😢😢 but thanks to B.I , he made YG gave Team B second chance (Mix n Match). I could still feel the hype when I watched Mix n Match teaser. But, it turned out to be crueler survival show than WIN 😅 but, i'm happy with the outcome of iKON (then and now) . I will always support them. I was one of their fan since the beginning, and I will continue to do so.

When I watched WIN and mix&match, I always saw Hanbin as the dad, jinhwan(jay) as the mom, and bobby as the fun and caring uncle! 😁 , the other four are their babies!!! So cute and happy family!!Jay is the one that listens to all the problems each member has and he is the one they go to (which doesnt come out much on shows)

Hanbin jinhwan and bobby were set as a team for three years before yun and June joined later in 2012... dong joined team b 6 months before win started which is why he’s regarded as the maknae despite actually being older than June Also we all love Chanwoo now but understand that this team went through hell and back to make sure that all six members remained in the line up for debut .. they have trained together for up to 4 years at this point together, so understand why that no one would like the fact that 3 new members are actually competing against the original team b members in mix and match. Hanbin especially.. who now has to try and get three new complete newbies up to speed :( Fun fact Hanbin is actually only three months older than donghyuk but donghyuk has always regarded him as hyung 😂

Yea, they still lived together after they lost WIN. They even volunteered to surrender their phones so they can focus on training. Aftwr WIN ended, there was no real news about Team B but there were rumors about disbandment which made us sad. Imagine the relief seeing them again together in Mix n Match. Although it was another survival show, at least the original TeamB is still intact. Cant wait for you to see part 2 with Chanwoo - when he was still a 'nice boy'.😆 Btw, this made me remember a radio interview they did a while back wherein Chanwoo said 'if I was in WIN, I will be the leader' which made everyone laugh. Maknae on Top indeed. That was a fun interview, i will look for thw link so you can see for yourselves. As always, thank you for reacting to iKon. I can really feel your love for them as well. ❤❤❤

Technically, Junhoe was the youngest as his birthday is in March (Donghyuk’s birthday is in January). But Junhoe was averse to being known as the maknae from the beginning. I think he did not want to be boxed in that stereotype of being the cutesy maknae. But I agree, watching WIN makes me reaize towards the end how important Chanwoo’s presence was. Also you ladies need to watch the whole show to really get the depth of their relationship/struggles.

Yang hyung suk actually said that the team who looses in win will go back home from yg so many of the fans were so freaking afraid that yg would let them go and hence the fans sent huge requests to yg to not let them break as a team and let them debut as a team where 6 of the members are in a team together. Since team b already gathered huge fandom for themselves mayb yg also felt like letting team b go would be his loss(my opinion) so he suggested Mix and Match ( a best decision ever made by yg) . At first members did not like chanwoo because members wanted to debut with 6 original members but yg said that the 3 (junhoe,donghyuk and yunhyeong) would be competing with the trainees to debut. Since chanwoo came in with a tough situation he was hard for him to be close to the members (aww chanwoo i feel for him TT). But i am quite relieved that they did not win against winner because if they had they wouldn't be chanwoo and they wouldn't be called iKON and we wouldn't be called iKONICs and we wouldn't have this amazing story to tell 😙😙😙

@ Darlings, Triple kim (B.I, Bobby and Jinwhan) were the first 3 out of Ikon to start training with YG, and the longest trainees out of all the members of the group, they are in a sense Ikons parents, with B.I. as the dad and Bobby and Jay as the two ommas(mothers), they basically compare them to GD (hanbin), Taeyang (jinwhan) and TOP (bobby) of bigbang. If ikon was a mafia, these three would be the Dons (example to let you understand their position in ikon).

I hope someone would do a comprehensive video of all the hate iKON got during M&M up to years after debut. Mix & Match was seriously famous and attracted a huge fandom for iKON but because of all the rumors and hate thrown around, they lost a lot of fans.
