I've always thought a musical would be perfect for a Joker movie because he's flashy and extravagant he demands attention and if you don't give it he'll kill you and whenever he's fighting the cops or Batman he's always making up little songs to taunt people it's perfect and musicals tend to be very flashy and extravagant and colorful just like Joker

I think Harley is his doctor in the film. My guess is the musical numbers are happening inside his head, because if you notice in the last shot, she is on the opposite side of the glass. But, we’ll just have to wait and see. Can’t wait!

I totally agree with you that the musical element works so well in the context of joint hallucination aka folie a deux 😉 From my experience it's those that do not do movies with depth and layer. So may lacking in the the knowledge and want for emotional and intellectual movies and wanting to just blow stuff up that are complaining.

Harvey Dent is also a confirmed character in this film. He's the one prosecuting Arthur for his crimes in the first one. This movie is going to be fantastic. Ans this was just a teaser!! I'm actually blown away by how good it looks. And for me, the first Joker is my second favorite DC film of all time. With the first being The Batman 2022. So that'll give you an idea of how excited I am for this, lol

It wasn't a remake of either really. It does have influences from both films, but I would agree that I see more Kings of Comedy than I do Taxi Driver. Always kinda gets on my nerves when people say "ah, Joker is just Taxi Driver." Lol
